Grappling Autism Fundraiser Tournament This weekend in Asbury Park, NJ

ASBURY PARK, NJ (October 24, 2012) -- One in 88 of our children have Autism and this weekend, the grappling community will come together and help these children and families directly.  Grapplers Quest® is proud to announce the 1st Grappling Autism Fundraiser Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, October 27-28,  at the Asbury Park Convention Hall (located at 1300 Ocean Avenue) in Asbury Park, New Jersey to benefit Autism Radio, a 501c3 charitable organization helping children, adults and families struggling with Autism.  

The Ground Fighting "supershow" will feature 700+ competitors in Submission Grappling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Judo and Wrestling divisions for all ages and skill levels.  Open to all competitors, independents and teams.  Fighters can pre-register and save online plus get a free T-Shirt and save $20, go to:

Saturday, Oct. 27 will feature Children (12 and younger) and All Adult No-Gi Submission Grappling and Wrestling Divisions, while Sunday, Oct. 28 will feature all Teen's Divisions (13-17 years) and All Adult Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Judo Divisions.  Each day's event begins at 10:00 a.m. / ET. The event is helping to donate towards Autism Radio's "iPads for Autism" campaign to help 16 non-verbal children and their families in New Jersey to receive a Free iPad and six Weeks of Intensive training to help their child "regain their voice".  For any parent of a Non-Verbal child with Autism, the potential for real communication is possible and Autism Radio helps make it possible. 
The featured showcase professional divisions include the $500 Gaspari No-Gi Pro Challenge (Advanced Open Weight Absolute Division, open to all competitors) and $500 Super Body Care BJJ Black Belt Lightweight Absolute (under 170 lbs.) both of which will expect several World CBJJ and ADCC Pro and Abu Dhabi World Champions to enter for the cash prizes.  
All Men's and Women's Advanced No-Gi Division Champions and All Absolute Divisions will be awarded custom made Championship Belts, in addition to the largest medallions in the sport of grappling, sponsored by Gaspari Nutrition, Zebra Mats and TapouT, plus a full color Champion Certificate.
