Branson, MO – November 21, 2012 – Global Proving Ground (GPG), a revolutionary fight organization that enables combat sports athletes to showcase their skills on a global level, recently aligned with Midwest Ultimate Cage Fights (MUCF) to host the industries very first GPG infused event. Thousands of fight fans packed the Branson Hilton Convention Center in Branson, MO on Saturday night for ‘GPG Presents: MUFC Big Time Branson Rumble’. The event was so successful that GPG has signed on to host four additional MUFC events in Missouri, to take place in 2013.
‘GPG Presents: MUFC Big Time Branson Rumble’ aired live and FREE on MMAWEEKLY.com and via MSXN.TV in light of Hurricane Sandy. Information for the Global Impact Disaster Relief Fund was mentioned throughout the broadcast to encourage fans that have not been affected by Hurricane Sandy to help those that have. PSA’s on the Wounded Warrior Project also ran during the live broadcast.

The ‘GPG Presents: MUFC Big Time Branson Rumble’ main card was stacked with 14 action-packed pro bouts. The event featured 11 pro bouts on the MUCF local card and 3 pro bouts on the GPG Global card. MUCF and GPG fighters delivered a night of non-stop MMA action, complete with brutal knockouts and skillful submissions. Hollywood Producer and former UFC Commentator Ben Perry joined MMA legend Dan ‘The Beast’ Severn cage side to call the action! Fans in attendance and fans around the world that tuned in on-line were not disappointed!

According to Tommy Tran, CEO of Midwest Ultimate Cage Fights, “As anticipated, the first GPG infused event was a great success! GPG took over the MUCF event following the local card on Saturday night from the ring announcer to the referee and the fighters, bringing a new level of professionalism to the cage. In the true tradition of martial arts, GPG fighters must bow to the referee and to each other both before and after going into battle. This is just one of many unique attributes that makes the organization stand out. At the end of the night, at every GPG infused event, the organization also awards the most impressive warrior on the local card with a two year fight contract. On November 17, Kevin Croom was awarded that honor.

Fighters signed to the GPG Worldwide fight league will be highlighted on main cards, for well-established regional, national and international promotions. They will also receive guidance and expert advice from martial arts masters such as Grandmaster Ron Van Clief, Relson Gracie and MMA legend Dan “The Beast” Severn, as well as expert legal, financial and public relations advice from a team of elite professionals with decades of experience.
GPG's Worldwide Fight League is also the ONLY MMA league in existence where fans can directly impact a fighter’s future by voting them onto reality shows and other GPG related projects while watching the fights live!
All fighters signed to GPG Worldwide Fight League will have a “Warrior Island” reality show try-out video posted on the GPG YouTube Channel, along with other entries submitted by elite warriors from all over the world. From there it is up to the fans to vote fighters onto the island! Fans can vote by subscribing to the GPG YouTube Channel and liking their favorite entries.

The exciting reality based combat sports TV show ‘Warrior Island’, created by James Jefferson and directed by Hollywood veteran Ben Perry, will put 16 elite fighters on an island in the Pacific Ocean.
