"I'm a little disappointed in the first round, but then my corner calmed me down and got me going for the second, push the pace a little bit. I had a big problem with finding my range, but once I did, it felt good throwing punches on the inside.

"I thought I was going to be defending takedowns the whole fight. I think I defended one at the end of the first, so it surprised me a lot. It took me a while to get my wits about me.

"I'm just ecstatic right now. I've never had a one-handed quitter like that in my career, but wow! I want as many of those as I can get.

"I thought I was going to be defending a lot more take downs. It surprised me a lot actually that I only had to defend one.

"I thought he would press the pace more and I would just be defending, defending, defending.

"But this is the fight game, and anything can happen. You have to be ready for anything."
