Amateur Boxing
Saturday, November 16th at Gleason's Gym
Join us on Saturday evening the 16th of November and enjoy the excitement of amateur boxing at a special charity event, the Fighters4Life Showcase.
Please join Fighters4Life at Gleason's for one amazing night of fights, fun and food. We have 24 folks, from beginners on up, who've been training for months for this night, honing their skills in the gym. In addition to celebrating their physical efforts, we'll be honoring their character and commitment to charity as all these fighters have been tirelessly fundraising on top of everything else they do.
What's in store for you on the 16th other than the fights.
Quite a bit.
The Taco Shop will be selling food at Gleason's (there will be plenty of tables to eat at)
-Select pieces from the Kaplan Boxing Archive, the greatest and largest collection in the world, will be on display. The chief archivist, Anthony Cucchiara, will be on hand to both fight and talk about the collection with those interested
-A DJ spinning tunes in between bouts
-Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase at Dumbo Kitchen on York Street from 8pm-2am with fights streaming to their TVs.
-Front Street Pizza will be open exclusively for our ticket holders.
-Coffee by The Brooklyn Roasting Company
-Informational booths from a number of the benefitting groups
All of this for $25, the majority of which goes straight to our participating charities:
Occupy Cancer
The ticket price is $25 per person. You can purchase tickets in advance by emailing info@fighters4life. net!
