The Ohio State wrestling team, in conjunction with the Ohio State Department of Athletics, is offering fans another possible exciting experience when attending Buckeye matches. Beginning with the Ohio State match vs. No. 8 Michigan Friday, Jan. 31 in St. John Arena, groups that purchase 50 or more tickets will have a chance to welcome the wrestling team from the lockerroom onto the mat through a High Five Tunnel pre-match. Only one group will be selected to participate from all eligible groups and the winning group will be notified Thursday Jan. 30. Dr. David Curby has a long involvement in all aspects of wrestling. As a competitor, he was a Junior National Champion, Big 10 Champion and Captain at the University of Michigan, Junior World team member and National Open Runner-up. A teacher, coach and administrator at Lyons Township HS in La Grange, and then Niles North HS, in Skokie, Curby received his doctorate in educational psychology from Northern Illinois University. He is a USA Wrestling Gold-level coach and a member of the IWCOA Hall of Fame. Curby is director of the International Network of Wrestling Researchers and editor of their official publication, the International Journal of Wrestling Science. Randy Couture is an actor, retired mixed martial artist, collegiate and Greco-Roman wrestler. During his tenures in the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Couture became a three-time UFC Heavyweight Champion, two-time UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, an Interim UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, and was the UFC 13 Heavyweight Tournament Winner.Couture is the first of only two fighters to hold two UFC championship titles in two different divisions. Couture was an Olympic wrestling alternate and has lived in Corvallis, Oregon, throughout much of his career, where he served as an assistant wrestling coach and a strength and conditioning coach for Oregon State University. James Green (Willingboro, N.J./University of Nebraska) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week. Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level. Green scored four takedowns to knock off returning NCAA champion and top-ranked Derek St. John of Iowa 9-7 during the team's Big Ten dual matchup on Saturday in Lincoln, Neb. Green, a Husker junior, has now defeated St. John the past two times they have faced each other. Green, seventh in the NCAA Championships in 2012 and 2013, is now ranked No. 1 nationally at 157 pounds. He is 22-0 this season. Gre
