FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Lewiston, Maine (October 11, 2014) – Earlier tonight, New England Fights (NEF), which had to-date been solely a mixed martial arts (MMA) fight promotion, held its first professional boxing event at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston, Maine. A crowd of approximately 1,100 was on-hand to witness the first professional boxing event held in Lewiston since September 2004. A boxing-hungry crowd was treated to six heart-pounding, back-and-forth wars throughout the course of the evening, all bouts going to the judges' scorecards. Lewiston's own Stevie Gamache picked up the fifth victory of his career to remain undefeated over Damon Antoine. In the main event of the evening, undefeated Brandon Berry became the Northeast Junior Welterweight Champion with a unanimous decision win over Eric Palmer.
