BROOKLYN, N.Y. (November 20, 2014) - As he prepares for his December 6 bout at Barclays Center, junior welterweight rising star Zachary "Zungry" Ochoa (8-0, 4 KOs) took time out of his busy training schedule to give back to his hometown on Tuesday, November 18th.  The Brooklyn native visited U.S. Army Garrison Fort Hamilton to participate in a community service event spearheaded by the Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger.

Ochoa, along with Brooklyn Nets players Markel Brown, Jorge Gutierrez, Cory Jefferson and Jerome Jordan, four Brooklynettes, Miss New York 2014 Jillian Tapper and 20 military veterans, assisted in serving an early Thanksgiving meal to more than 130 members of the Brooklyn community at Tuesday's event.

"I think it's important to take the time to give back to where you come from," said Ochoa. "I love being a part of helping others, and this is the perfect time of year to show how thankful I am by doing whatever I can to help others in need. "
