The 27-year-old heavy handed southpaw Cuellar has won eight in a row, including victories over two former world champions this year: a brutal second round knockout of Juan Manuel Lopez on Sept. 11 and a dominant 12-round decision over Rico Ramos on May 2.
Cuellar is also world ranked No. 9 at 126 pounds by ESPN.com and Ring Magazine.
Also fighting out of the southpaw stance, Tamayo is a battle-tested veteran that has faced a handful of tough Mexican opponents in seven-year professional career. Most recently, Tamayo, who will be making his U.S. debut, shined with an eight round decision over Southern California’s Efrain Esquivias on April 25, 2014.
The 24-year-old Williams, thought by many to be a future world champion, will be making the fourth start of his 2014 campaign. A professional for only four years, the Philadelphia prospect already has numerous notable names on his ledger including Joachim Alcine, Michael Medina, Freddy Hernandez and Hugo Centeno Jr.
He returns to action following his career-best win over fellow undefeated prospect Eliezer Gonzalez on Sept. 11 in Las Vegas.
Upset minded Ortega will be looking to derail Williams and get back in the win column following a 10 bout win streak which was broken by Pablo Munguia on Oct. 17 in a hard-fought 10-rounder.
A 2008 Olympian and son of former world champion Julian Jackson, the 27-year-old puts his undefeated record on the line against Nelson. Jackson, who most recently stopped Crispulo Javier Andino in the second round on Aug. 1 in Cordoba, Argentina, has knocked out eight consecutive opponents.
Follow the first loss of his pro career to Brandon Gonzalez in November 2013,
28-year-old Nelson bounced back with a third round knockout of veteran Jonathan Corn on March 15 of this year.
Since suffering his only loss to Brandon Rios in a world title eliminator in 2010, the 29-year-old Peterson, of Washington, D.C., has won four in a row including a first round knockout of Edgar Riovalle on Aug. 9 in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Also 29-years-old, Amidu is a native of the boxing rich country of Ghana and has been campaigning as a lightweight and junior welterweight for the last seven years. He has faced veterans Ricky Burns, Ali Funeka and Ji-Hoon Kim.
In July of 2013, Amidu fought to 12-round draw with former world title challenger Juan Carlos Burgos.
Additional information on the undercard bouts will be announced shortly.
