WBC cruiserweight champion Krzysztof "Diablo" Wlodarczyk (46-2, 33 KO) doesn't blame Antonio "Magic Man" Tarver for stepping around him to take an easier fight.
Despite being offered a shot at Wlodarczyk's prestigious belt, Tarver (29-6, 20 KO) will instead face the strong, but limited Lateef Kayode on June 2 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.
"I was not surprised by his decision," said Wlodarczyk. "I said to my promoters, Andrew Wasilewski and Leon Margules, that a fight between Tarver and me will never happen. He is an intelligent guy and knows he has a very small chance of surviving 12 rounds with me. He realizes I'm too strong and too hungry for him. It's that simple."
A champion since 2010 with three successful defenses under his belt, Wlodarczyk says he is in a similar position to the one a young Antonio Tarver once found himself.
"I am looking for any of the big names in my division to fight me, kind of like how Antonio used to follow Roy Jones around and accuse him of taking easy fights while avoiding his toughest opponents. The shoe is on the other foot now though. Today, Antonio is an old man, too lazy to make his proper fighting weight, and looking to make money the easiest way possible against the easiest foes. Life is like a circle sometimes. Maybe if I'm between 40 and 50 and still fighting I will someday talk the same bullshit."
Wlodarczyk says he's not angry with Tarver, but offers him the following advice: "Good luck Antonio, but if this is how you are going to be, then forget talking about serious fights for serious titles!"

WORLD RANKED CRUISERWEIGHT BJ FLORES WAITS THE WINNER OF TODAY’S FRAGOMENI – BRANCO WINNER

LAS VEGAS (March 17, 2012)—World Ranked Cruiserweight contender BJ Flores will be keeping a close eye on Italy today as he is line to meet the winner of the WBC Silver Belt fight between fellow Italians Giacobbe Fragomeni and Silvio Branco.
The fight will be a battle of world champions as Fragomeni (29-3-1, 12 KO’s) and Branco (62-10-2, 37 KO’s) not only compete for the belt by a lofty position in the WBC rankings.
Flores currently sits at number four in the WBC knows that he may end of facing the winner for a chance at the world title.
“As it looks now, I will be able to get the winner in an elimination bout”, said Flores.
“The WBC mandated champion Krzystof Wlodarczyk and Francisco Palacios to rematch and that probably wont happen for a few months and that should up nicely for me to fight the winner of Saturday’s fight and then with a victory I will get the winner of the world title fight”
“I have been the most active Cruiserweight as I have fought three times in a six month period and I feel that my ranking is a reward for that”, said Flores, who sports a record of 27-1-1 with seventeen knockouts.
“I am working hard to improve and get faster and stronger. My timing is back and I now feel ready for the top cruisers in the world. I look forward to facing either Fragomeni or Branco in a big fight that will set up a championship fight.”
“Also I will be in camp with Floyd Mayweather helping him prepare for his May 5th title defense against Miguel Cotto. I am Staying in great shape in the meantime. I love training and love how things are going right now”
“I have been very busy training and broadcasting and right now my confidence is sky high and I just want to be able to fight for the world title before the year is out”
