McGIRT TRAINING FACILITY GRAND OPENING
NUTLEY, NJ (APRIL 8, 2013)—This past Thursday, The state of the art McGirt Training facility had its grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony.
The facility will be a gym and will also house the offices of GH3 Promotions and Greg Cohen Promotions is already a hit In the community and political leaders joined members of the boxing community at the Grand Opening.
The main trainer will be former world champion James “Buddy” McGirt, who will train not only professionals but some of the best amateurs in the country.
The McGirt Training Facility is an extension of the Elite Heat Boxing Gym that is located in Newark.
Said Buddy McGirt, “This is great. I want to thank Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions and Greg Cohen for the opportunity for me to come home. There is a lot of great talent here and I not only look forward to working with the professionals but the many great youngsters that have a lot of potential to become professionals in the years to come”
“There was an overflow of talent and kids at the our Elite Heat Gym”, said Vito Mielnicki
“There is a lot of top notch professional and amateur talent in this area and it’s great to add Buddy with our Elite Heat trainers Wali Moses and Robert Griffin”
“We are trying to make this gym a farm system to GH3 and Greg Cohen Promotions. We are taking a grass roots approach to boxing where we can mold young men and woman and keep them off the streets but teach them discipline through boxing and to have a world champion like Buddy McGirt and has since gone on to become one of the top trainers in the sport gives us a lot of credibility and a guy commands the respect of any aspiring boxer”
Also in attendance was the honorable mayor Alphonse Petracco.
The Facility will also house the Ediroc Store which will sell state of the art boxing equipment.

NEWARK, NJ (February 11, 2013)—This past Saturday at the Rodeway Inn in Allentown, PA, Kings Boxing Promotions staged a Pro-Am card that saw three members of the Elite Heat Boxing team score victories during the amateur portion of the show.
In the 112 Pound Division (ages 15-16), Shakur Stevenson scored a victory over Jacob Soto.
Stevenson is trained by his grandfather Walli Moses and Robert Griffin and has an amateur record of 74-7.
Stevenson recently traveled to Russia and took home the Velez Cup and was the 2012 Ringside World champion and 2013 Jr. World champion
Eysa Dorsey scored a victory over Donald Ford of Washington, DC in the 75 lb (ages 11-12) division. Dorsey was the 2012 Nation Jr. Golden Gloves champion
Finally in the 75 lb (ages 10-11) Viti Mielnicki won a decision over Jahlil Hackett of Washington, DC. Hackett was the 2012 Title National Champion while Mienicki was the 2011 and 2012 Jr. National Golden Gloves champion and 2012 Ringside World champion

Elite Heat’s Shakur Stevenson Brings Home Championship at 2012 Jr. World Team Tournament
Last week, 15-year-old amateur boxing standout Shakur Stevenson—fighting out of the renowned Elite Heat Boxing Club in Newark, NJ, won all three of his bouts to become the 2013 Junior World Team Champion. In Reno, Nevada.
Under the tutelage of his grandfather Walli Moses and Robert Griffin, Stevenson has put together an impressive amateur record of 73-7, and recently had traveled to Russia where he competed and brought home the Velez Cup.
The 114-pound young teen has established himself as one of the top fighters in the country, and is adamant about continuing his dominating ways through 2013.
Elite Heat Boxing Gym of Newark, NJ has established themselves as one of the top boxing gyms in the country for amateur and professional fighters. Elite’s undefeated junior middleweight prospect John Thompson will be looking to extend his unbeaten streak to 10 fights as he steps between the ropes of the squared circle Saturday night on the Austin Trout/Miguel Cotto championship undercard.

ELITE HEAT’S SHAKUR STEVENSON WINS 2013 JR. WORLD TEAM OPEN TOURNEY
NEWARK, NJ (January 14, 2013)—The Elite Heat Boxing Gym would like to congratulate Shakur Stevenson for his victory at the 2013 Jr. World Team Tourney in Reno, Nevada.
The 114 pound Stevenson of Newark won three bouts which included his title winning effort over Noah Contreras in the finals by a score of 16-8.
Stevenson is trained by his grandfather Walli Moses and Robert Griffin and has an amateur record of 73-7.
Stevenson recently traveled to Russia and took home the Velez Cup.
