Find A Dream and BC Boxing To Host Fight Night For Hometown Hero

This Friday night, August 29, Find A Dream and BC Boxing will host a charity exhibition benefit in honor of State Trooper Bradley Wilson who was shot and paralyzed in the line of duty last September.

Find A Dream—a 501 c (3) nonprofit organization that reaches out to community children and provides them a healthy channel to find and work towards fulfilling a dream—has recently partnered with BC Boxing of Brockport to offer kids and teenagers an outlet where they can learn structure and discipline, and most importantly, keep them off the streets and off of drugs.

Recently the drug epidemic within Northwestern Pennsylvania has gotten beyond out of control, and together Find A Dream and BC Boxing are hoping to combat the problem by not only spreading awareness, but by implementing programs within BC Boxing in which kids can learn boxing and have an environment where they can turn to and learn something positive.  Currently BC Boxing offers a Free Kids Boxing class every Sunday at 12:30 p.m. where kids of all ages can come and box for free.

The Trooper Wilson Benefit will feature all of BC Boxing’s boxers who will put on an entertaining night of sparring against one another to show the surrounding community what the boxing club has to offer.  Trooper Wilson and his wife Aerika will be in attendance, and all of the proceeds raised from the event will be donated to the couple.

“It’s important for communities to understand the dangers State Troopers and officers put themselves in day in and day out in areas plagued by drugs,” said Rod Ricciardi, founder of Find A Dream.  “It’s a terrible tragedy what happened to Trooper Bradley Wilson, but it goes to show what a true hero he is, putting his life on the line to keep the citizens of the Brockway and Dubois area safe.  Find A Dream and BC Boxing are more than honored and humbled to host the Benefit in his name and have him sit ringside, and we hope we have a packed house of supporters to show their appreciation for him fight night.”

Doors for the Trooper Wilson Benefit will open at 6:30, with the action beginning around 7:30.  Tickets can be purchased at the door for $20.  Entertainment will be provided by Rockstar Productions.  Refreshments will be available.

“Come out and enjoy a fun night of boxing and support a true hometown hero,” says Chris Cella, co-owner of BC Boxing.  “Whether you are a boxing fan or not, I can promise that you will have a blast, and leave knowing that you did something positive.  We would like to thank all of our sponsors for making this benefit possible, Vir Terra Landscaping, RBJ Manufacturing, LLC, Analytical Services Inc. and Rockstar Productions.”

Find A Dream Partners With BC Boxing To Knockout Drugs In Northwestern PA

To combat the growing drug epidemic that continues to plague the Northwestern Pennsylvania area, Find A Dream—a 501 c (3) nonprofit organization that reaches out to community children and provides them a healthy channel to find and work towards fulfilling a dream—has partnered with BC Boxing of Brockport to offer kids and teenagers an outlet where they can learn structure and discipline, and most importantly, keep them off the streets and off of drugs.

Over the past few years Find A Dream has established themselves on a national level, valiantly campaigning to spread awareness of the importance of getting kids involved in healthy programs and activities.  Find A Dream already has a successful location in Myrtle Beach where they’ve partnered with former pro boxer Pete Guthrie of One Punch Fitness, and also train out of Long Beach, California, where they have expanded to over the past year.

“When it was brought to my attention of the growing drug problem in the western Pennsylvania area, it immediately made sense to partner with BC Boxing and begin getting kids off the streets and involved in something healthy,” says Rod Ricciardi, founder of Find A Dream.  “Everybody thinks that major drug epidemics only lie within big inner cities, and people often forget how bad it can be in small town America.  Our hope is to reach as many kids as possible and implement programs to keep them on the right track.”
Ricciardi is joined by an all-star team of Board Members, including former boxing world champions Ray Mercer, Michael Moorer, Bobby Czyz and Buddy McGirt; they will be visiting the gym from time to time and offering their insight to the boxers and working with the kids to pass along their experience and knowledge inside and out of the squared circle.

“This is a dream come true, having the chance to partner with Find A Dream,” said Chris Cella, co-owner of BC Boxing.  “I’ve known Rod and the crew for a few years now, and I’ve seen firsthand the work FAD does, and the results that come out of it.  Drugs have become such a problem here in Brockport, and my wife and co-owner Becky immediately thought partnering with Find A Dream would be a huge way to spread awareness and help take us to the next level in our efforts to further our campaign to keep the kids off of drugs.  If we can get the kids on the right path early, they won’t turn to drugs.  It is our job to provide the environment and atmosphere for the kids to succeed, and now having Find A Dream in our corner, we have all the resources we need.”

Find A Dream and BC Boxing will be hosting their first charity event next Friday night—a boxing exhibition benefit for Trooper Bradley Wilson, who was shot and paralyzed in the line of duty.  All of the proceeds raised from the benefit will be donated to Trooper Wilson.

“Going forward we are eager to put on a variety of different benefits and outings to continue to raise awareness of our cause,” said Ricciardi.  “Our impact is felt every time an individual makes a healthy choice, when a mentor inspires a child, and when a community comes together for the common good.”

FIND A DREAM TO PARTNER WITH DG BOXING CLUB IN LONG BEACH

To further their expansion on to the west coast, Find A Dream—a 501 c (3) nonprofit organization that reaches out to community children and provides them a healthy channel to find and work towards fulfilling a dream—has announced that they will be partnering with DG Boxing of Long Beach.

Last year Find A Dream teamed up with Pete Guthrie and One Punch Fitness in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to provide an outlet for local kids, and they are anticipating the same success in Long Beach.
“We are very excited about partnering with DG Boxing as we know there are countless kids in the Long Beach area that can benefit from boxing,” said Rod Ricciardi, founder of Find A Dream.  “DG Boxing is already well established, and together we can offer the ultimate facility to keep kids off the streets and give them something positive to focus on.”

In addition to DG Boxing’s team, including head trainer and owner Anthony Skalberg, Find A Dream Board Members and former world champions Ray Mercer, Michael Moorer and Bobby Czyz will be visiting the gym frequently, offering their insight to the boxers and working with the kids to pass along their experience and knowledge inside and out of the squared circle.

“I think it is great, we got kids that we can start bringing in to train,” said Fasci of DG Boxing.  “We have some kids now that we train, and we focus on keeping them on track, by showing their report cards, and doing well in school.  It’s all about the kids, and boxing is a great way to take them off the streets and keep them out of gangs.”

Going forward over the next weeks Find A Dream will be announcing various charity events around the Long Beach and Los Angeles as they look to spread awareness of the cause and garner exposure for the new facility at DG Boxing.

FIND A DREAM PARTNERS WITH ONE PUNCH FITNESS TO OPEN YOUTH BOXING FACILITY

FIGHT NEWS UNLIMITED IS SPONSORED BY: WWW.MILIFIDEL.COM
=======================================================

Find A Dream—a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization that reaches out to community children and provides them a healthy channel to find and work towards fulfilling a dream—has announced that they have partnered with One Punch Fitness in Myrtle Beach and have opened up a new youth facility.

One Punch Fitness contains 1,400 square feet with a designated boxing area complete with state-of-the-art equipment, as well as cardio and weight machines throughout.

“We are excited to have Find A Dream here,” said Pete Guthy, former professional boxer and co-owner of One Punch Fitness.  “I’ve known Don Steele (Board member of Find A Dream) for a long time, and we have always been about supporting charities.  I love boxing and love sharing it with other people, especially if it is going to help kids stay out of trouble.  There are a lot of temptations out there nowadays, and boxing will teach kids dedication and discipline and keep them from going down the wrong road in life.”

Find A Dream’s program will be available to local youth on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 to 6 p.m., and all day Saturday and Sunday.  The program will include the fundamentals of boxing and core strength and conditioning.  Additionally, One Punch Fitness will open up their 6 p.m. boxing class on Thursday to the Find A Dream kids.

“We are honored to be working with One Punch Fitness,” said Rod Ricciardi, co-founder of Find A Dream.  “Pete Guthy is a class act and the facility is perfect for what we want to bring to Myrtle Beach.  Our mission is to provide the local youth with an outlet to learn the basics of boxing while working towards their goals in life.”

In addition to former boxer Don Steele, Find A Dream’s all-star team also includes former Olympic Gold Medalist Ray Mercer, former world champion Bobby Czyz, Hector Camacho Jr., and several other professionals.

On going forward with Find A Dream, Ricciardi continues, “What we are trying to do is help kids of any age and bring positive influence into their lives.  We are trying to do it through boxing, martial arts and music, to instill in them discipline and structure.  We know that we are not going to be able to help everybody because they’re going to have to want to help themselves, but even if we can make a small difference, that’s what we are trying to do, with as many people as possible.

Any local youth in Myrtle Beach that are interested in joining Find A Dream’s programs, visit One Punch Fitness at 4036 River Oaks Drive, Suite B4, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, 29579; or visit them online at www.onepunchfitness.com
