SEAN “THE DESTROYER” LOEFFLER JOINS THE CROSSFIRE MEDIA GROUP FAMILY

CMG to handle Loeffler’s media opportunities

San Jose, CA (USA): It was announced today that UFC middleweight fighter Sean “The Destroyer” Loeffler has reached an agreement with Crossfire Media Group (CMG) to be represented in media matters by Phil Lanides, CMG Owner/Publicist.

CMG will provide PR and media relations services for Loeffler, and in the process help continue to build his brand. CMG will now handle all media requests for “The Destroyer.”

“I’m excited to work with a fighter the caliber of Sean,” stated Lanides. “He is colorful and quote-worthy, but most importantly, he brings it inside the Octagon. Once he heals up, he’s going to be a force to be reckoned with in the UFC.”

“I definitely understand how important it is to get your name out there and become recognizable, and I know that CMG is already helping me do that,” said Loeffler. “I expect that me working with Phil is going to help me get positioned to become the biggest I can possibly be.”

Ironically, one of the most buzzed about fighters in the UFC right now is one that hasn’t event made his Octagon debut. “The Destroyer” was scheduled to make his UFC debut at “UFC on Fuel 1: Ellenberger vs. Sanchez” on February 15th against Buddy Roberts. Unfortunately, Loeffler suffered an ankle injury while warming up and had to be pulled from the fight. This past week, he underwent successful ankle surgery, and hopes to be back in the cage in about six months.

With a record of 25-5 with 24 finishes, Loeffler has cultivated a reputation as one of the most excited fighters in the 185-pound division. He has won twelve of his last thirteen fights, finishing every one of his victims. Now on the mend, “The Destroyer” is also garnering a lot of attention for his entertaining interviews, complete with hilarious stories of his amazing life. In short, he is the complete package.

“The Destroyer” joins the CMG stable of clients, which also includes Strikeforce welterweight contender Tyron “T-Wood” Woodley, Canadian fight promotion Aggression MMA, former world champion pro wrestler Diamond Dallas Page’s workout brand, DDPYOGA, Bay Area-based combat sports promotion Elite Combat Sports, top MMA fight team Roufusport, and top combat sports broadcaster Mauro Ranallo.

Sean "The Destroyer" Loeffler plans to be back and better than ever

SEAN LOEFFLER: “I WILL BE BACK,
BETTER THAN EVER, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.”

Los Angeles, CA (USA): Last night, Sean “The Destroyer” Loeffler was supposed to make his long-awaited Octagon debut against Buddy Roberts at “UFC on Fuel TV 1.” Unfortunately, Loeffler suffered an ankle injury while warming up and the doctor would not clear him to compete in the fight.

So, what exactly happened? “I was doing ‘tuck jumps’ backstage,” says Loeffler. “My foot got caught in a crack in the warm-up mat, and it rolled over and snapped in half. Trevor Wittman and Urijah Faber were there…the whole locker room heard it pop.

“Fortunately, the ankle’s not broken. It’s a 3rd degree fibula/tibia strain. There’s about a 50/50 chance I’ll have surgery, but we won’t know until after I get an MRI. I don’t know how long I’ll be out, but Joe Silva has told me that I am 100% a UFC fighter, and that I’ll be back with them.”
As was reported by multiple media outlets last night, Loeffler was paid his “show” money by the UFC. “Yes, it’s true,” he says. “I very much appreciate that. I’d like to thank Dana White, Joe Silva, and the rest of the UFC for standing by me through this. They paid me my show money even though I got injured. I appreciate that so much, and I won’t forget it. And to the fans, I will be back, better than ever, as soon as possible. I’m in the UFC to stay, and even though the ankle injury sucked, it shows that everything I do will always be memorable…ha.”
As far as what’s next, no one can know for sure. Will Loeffler fight Buddy Roberts when he gets back? “As far as I know, Buddy is healthy, so I doubt they’re going to make him wait for me. I have no idea who the UFC wants for me next, but regardless, I need to get healthy and then we’ll deal with it. I was ready for Buddy, so if he’s next, I will be ready for him again.”

SEAN LOEFFLER IS READY TO DESTROY THE UFC MIDDLEWEIGHT DIVISION

“The Destroyer” has finished 24 of his 25 victims

Los Angeles, CA (USA): With fighters such as Anderson Silva, Chael Sonnen, Michael Bisping, Mark Munoz, and Vitor Belfort populating the UFC middleweight division, there is no shortage of colorful personalities and exciting competitors representing the 185-pound weight class in the Octagon.

It’s about to get a bit more colorful and exciting, however.

Sean “The Destroyer” Loeffler will make his UFC debut at “UFC on Fuel 1: Ellenberger vs. Sanchez” next Wednesday, February 15th. His opponent that night will be Jackson’s MMA fighter Buddy Roberts (11-2). Loeffler is a longtime fixture of the fight scene on the West Coast, having competed multiple times in Gladiator Challenge. He made his debut back in 2000, but other than one fight with Bellator, “The Destroyer” hadn’t been given the opportunity to show his skills on a national platform.

That will change next week. And Loeffler is feeling very confident about it.

“A great night for me is a really horrible night for Buddy. A good night for me is a terrible night for Buddy. Shoot, an average night for me is a bad night for Buddy, and even an off-night for me is a loss for Buddy!”

While “The Destroyer” has dominated the competition throughout his career, some have questioned the level of competition he’s faced, as there aren’t a ton of well-known fighters amongst his list of victims. Loeffler has strong feelings on the subject.

“Well, I just beat a 6-2 fighter in eight seconds. Before that, I fought a guy with 25 fights and 12 decisions, and beat him in 59 seconds…fastest loss of his career. I fought a forty-fight veteran in his hometown and shut him up, choked him out, and before that, I beat a last-minute replacement in fourteen seconds…knocked him the hell out. And before that I beat a 5-1 guy in 55 seconds with a knockout. Only lost to an arguably top-ten fighter within three weeks of my coach being shot and killed, and have won twelve out of my last thirteen fights...all in first round. So, yeah, the ‘well-known’ guys want nothing to do with me.”

But before he can get to some of those “well-known” fighters, he’s got to go through Buddy Roberts.

“As for Buddy, I’m coming. You know you hear the footsteps...it ain’t a nightmare anymore. I’m coming. You took this fight to get in the UFC...pitter patter, pitter patter…you hear ‘em buddy...you know you do.

“And to the fans...a simple THANK you all! I won’t disappoint...and, oh yeah, go to the bathroom early so you don’t miss it!”
