This memo is a reminder to ALL participants of their contractual obligation to abide by the confidentiality and non-disclosure provisions in the Participant Agreement, which shall read, in part: I WILL NOT MYSELF, AND I WILL NOT AUTHORIZE OTHERS TO, PUBLICIZE, ADVERTISE OR PROMOTE MY APPEARANCE ON THE SERIES, RECEIVE OR GENERATE ANY MONETARY ADVANTAGE FROM MY APPEARANCE ON THE SERIES, OR USE OR DISCLOSE TO ANY PARTY ANY INFORMATION OR TRADE SECRETS OBTAINED OR LEARNED AS A RESULT OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THE SERIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY INFORMATION CONCERNING OR RELATING TO THE SERIES, THE CONTESTANTS, THE EVENTS CONTAINED IN THE SERIES OR THE OUTCOME OF THE SERIES OR THE METHOD(S) OF PRODUCTION OF THE SERIES, FOR A PERIOD FROM THE DATE OF THIS AGREEMENT UNTIL THREE (3) YEARS AFTER THE INITIAL BROADCAST OF THE LAST EPISODE OF THE SERIES (I.E., THE LAST EPISODE OF THE SERIES AS A WHOLE, AS DISTINCT FROM THE EPISODE CYCLE IN WHICH I MAY BE INCLUDED AS A PARTICIPANT OR SELECTED AS AN ALTERNATE). DURING THE EXCLUSIVE PERIOD, ALL CONTACT WITH THE MEDIA REGARDING THE SERIES OR MY PARTICIPATION IN THE SERIES MUST BE ORGANIZED AND SANCTIONED BY THE PRESS OFFICER OF PRODUCERS IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERIES OR BY A DULY AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF PRODUCERS. I AGREE THAT DISCLOSURE BY ME IN VIOLATION OF THE FOREGOING SHALL CONSTITUTE AND BE TREATED AS A MATERIAL BREACH OF THIS AGREEMENT, WHICH WILL CAUSE IRREPARABLE HARM TO PRODUCERS. I FURTHER AGREE THAT IN THE EVENT OF ANY DISCLOSURE BY ME OR ANYONE ACTING AT MY DIRECTION IN VIOLATION OF THIS AGREEMENT, I WILL BE LIABLE TO PRODUCERS, AND SHALL PAY TO PRODUCER AS LIQUIDATED DAMAGES, AND NOT AS PENALTY, THE SUM OF TWO MILLION DOLLARS ($2,000,000.00), WHICH AMOUNT REPRESENTS THE RESULT OF A REASONABLE ENDEAVOR BY PRODUCERS AND ME TO ASCERTAIN THE FAIR AVERAGE COMPENSATION FOR ANY HARM THAT PRODUCERS WILL SUSTAIN AS THE RESULT OF SUCH DISCLOSURE.

GPG Announces Three Big ‘Warrior Island’ Casting Calls for the Month of December

Fighters in NY, AZ and MO get ready!  Master Renzo Gracie, CB Dollaway, Dan Severn,

and Jesse Finney are set to Host Warrior Island Casting Calls.

Los Angeles, CA – December 11, 2012 – Global Proving Ground (GPG), a revolutionary platform that enables combat sports athletes to showcase their skills on a global level, continues to travel the world in search of elite martial arts talent for the new reality series ‘Warrior Island”. Three casting calls for the show have been announced for the month of December. Casting calls will take place at Renzo Gracie Fighting Academy in Brooklyn, NY on December 15, Power MMA & Fitness in Gilbert, AZ on December 18 and Finney’s MMA in St. Louis, MO on December 21.

The show’s creator is in search of skilled combat sports fighters that have the raw talent and drive that it takes to beat anyone on any continent, as well as the all-important social skills needed to win the hearts of fight fans worldwide. Like all GPG projects, the fans will decide who makes the cut by voting for their favorite casting call videos! The top 16 fighters, along with 4 alternates will be sent to ‘Warrior Island’.

If you are a combat sports athlete in or near New York, Arizona or Missouri and think you have what it takes to make it to the Island, now is your chance to prove it! GPG welcomes combat sports athletes of all weight classes, forms and disciplines to come out and showcase your skills.

According to GPG Founder James Jefferson, “Words cannot express how excited we are to have so many MMA icons, elite fighters, and industry leaders involved with the Warrior Island Casting calls. We are thrilled that UFC fighter CB Dollaway, MMA legend Dan Severn, Master Renzo Gracie, and Strikeforce veteran Jesse Finney will be hosting casting calls in December. This is an amazing opportunity for fighters in or near these cities!”

On Saturday, December 15 an open casting call will be held for fighters in New York and the surrounding areas at the Renzo Gracie Fighting Academy in Brooklyn, New York. The casting call will be hosted by Master Renzo Gracie himself, along with top black belt instructors Luis Gustavo, Matt Stern, Daisuke Yamaji, Garry St Leger, and UFC fighter Rafael "Sapo" Natal.  Warrior Island tryout videos will be filmed at the academy from 10am-2pm. 

UFC fighter and Power MMA co-owner CB Dollaway and Dan “The Beast” Severn will be hosting a casting call for fighters in Arizona and the surrounding areas on Tuesday, December 18.  The casting call will take place at Power MMA & Fitness in Gilbert, Arizona.  Tryout videos will be filmed from 10am-1pm and from 3pm-8pm.

On Friday, December 21 MMA veteran and gym owner Jesse Finney will host a casting call for fighters in Missouri and the surrounding areas. The casting call will take place at Finney’s MMA in St. Louis, Missouri. Tryout videos will be filmed from 10am-2pm and from 4pm-8pm.

All competitors that plan to attend open castings for Warrior Island are encouraged to RSVP in advance.  Every competitor that registers in advance will receive an email confirmation along with a questionnaire that will help them prepare for the casting call. Fighters attending in Missouri or New York can pre-register by emailing James Jefferson at jefferson.j@globalprovingground.com. Fighters attending in Arizona can pre-register by emailing Dan Severn atdan@dansevern.com.  

During each open casting call, reality show hopefuls will be required to demonstrate their fighting skills and tell the world why fight fans should vote them onto the show in an intense 1-2 minute video. GPG will release additional casting call dates and locations in the coming weeks. Due to an overwhelming response from the MMA community, the voting time-frame has been extended! Fight fans can now vote for their favorite GPG fighter videos through March 15, 2013.
