Early in July the NCAA moved to discontinue one of the most successful high profile events the Iowa Conference has ever had, the Iowa Conference Wrestling Tournament. The NCAA Division III Wrestling Committee decided to switch to a regional qualifying format for its national tournament. Coaches voted yes or no with the noted result.
