Breazeale and Bissett traded leather in the first round, with Breazeale on the receiving end of a couple of good shots early in the round.  A resilient Breazeale would return the favor landing a barrage of punches knocking down Bissett twice.  His opponent would barely escape the first round and returned for the second.

At the start of the second round, Breazeale and Bissett continued to trade shots, with the Olympian land
ing a devastating right that would again knock down his opponent.  Bissett would rise for the third time and was surprisingly able to continue.  Seconds later, Breazeale finished Bissett with a thunderous right hook that could be heard from ringside.  The referee then halted the bout mid-way through the second round.

When asked about his thoughts on his

performance, Breazeale stated that "I thought I  performed well but there is always room for improvement.  I tried to get the first round knock-out, but I'll take the knock-out when I can get it.  I would like to thank Al Haymon, Golden Boy Promotions and my team for all of their support."
When his trainer John Bray was asked about Breazeale's performance, Bray indicated that, "I was pleased with Dominic's performance and was happy to see him executing the things we worked on in the gym.  He's continuing to improve and will definitely be back in the gym on Monday ready to work."
