Former Buckeye Matt Moos Needs Your Help in Toledo

Toledo, Ohio schools deserve to experience wrestling. 2 years ago the Toledo school board voted to discontinue the sport across the district. Now Beat The Streets Toledo Executive Director Matt Moos and his organization are looking to reverse that decision and reactivate the sport starting with middle school  students through high school kids.

With help from organizations like Beat The Streets, R.E.A.C.H.E.S, Brute, Toledo Public Schools and others Moos will make his second presentation on the sport to the very interested school board at their next meeting May 23rd.

Rome wasn't built in a day and wrestling won't be back at every school right away but we need to start now. Our school aged kids at all levels are being challenged with low literacy and obesity issues that can be directly tied to a lack of physical activity. Wrestling as a sport and as an activity can go along way in fostering a better sense of self and community.

So, Toledo school Board, concerned parents, wrestling fans and athletes join Matt moos, his brother and hundreds of others as they seek to right this wrong and make wrestling available to Toledo school kids once again.
