ELITE HEAT / MCGIRT BOXING TEAM SHINE IN COLORADO



NUTLEY, NJ (June 7, 2013)—this past weekend in Colorado Springs, two members of the Elite Heat / McGirt Amateur Boxing team stood out from the rest of the competitors and one of the most prestigious Colorado Springs International Tournament.

15-16 Year old 114 lb. Jr. National champion Shakur Stevenson won three bouts to win the championship belt in his class.  Also Vito Mielnicki Jr. won the 11-12 Year Old 75 lb. weight division, and he not only won his three bouts to win his weight division but was also named the Tournament’s Most Outstanding Boxing.

Shakur, Mielnick and the rest of the Elite Heat/McGirt Boxing Team will compete this weekend in Philadelphia against some of the best from the City of Brotherly Love.
