WBA Fedelatin Champion, Michael Angelo 'The Artist' Perez gives back to the Community, speaks to kids of Branch Brook Park in Newark




WBA Fedelatin light welterweight champion, Michael Angelo 'The Artist' Perez ( 19-1-2 , 10 KO's ) from Newark, New Jersey of Puerto Rican descendant, spends quality time by delivering a motivational speech to a group of Little Leaguers at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey.

"It's a beautiful thing that I can truly make an impact on them", said 'The Artist' Perez,"First I talked about the sacrifices of my career but most important, I told them to be consistent in their goals, put the grind and the hustle into the craft to become successful, never give up, be positive, help others, and with God in your side, you can accomplish amazing things".

Perez will be in the feature bout, on Monday, April 28 at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, as part of an event promoted by 'Golden Boy Promotions' in association with 'PR Best Boxing Promotions'. 

Perez, ranked #10 by the WBA, will defend his title against Mexican, Jorge 'Koky' Romero ( 24-7, 21 KO's ) in a scheduled 10-round bout. 

The event is set to be broadcast on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Deportes as part of the series 'Golden Boy Live!', starting at 9:00 pm ( ET ).

In his last bout in September, 'The Artist' captured the vacant WBA Fedelatin belt by defeating Mexican, Miguel 'Dinamita' Zuñiga by unanimous decision.

Other notables victories by 'The Artist' included, a second round TKO over Eric Cruz, and over prospects, Fidel Maldonado, and Fernando Carcamo, both wins came by decision, in bloody matches.

Pérez is part of Golden Boy Promotions stable.
