ESPN Sports had a panel of experts from all fields evaluate and compare sixty (60) sports and their conclusion was:
"We sized them up. We measured them, top to bottom. We've done our own Tale of the Tape, and we've come to a surprising conclusion. Pound for pound, the toughest sport in the world is . . .
Boxing.
The Sweet Science.
That's the sport that demands the most from the athletes who compete in it. It's harder than football, harder than baseball, harder than basketball, harder than hockey or soccer or cycling or skiing or fishing or billiards or any other of the 60 sports we rated. "

At Gleason's Gym
Rock Steady boxing NY/LA is proud to play a part in the fight against Parkinson's Disease. As Team Fox Members we will be hosting a fundraising event at world famous Gleason's Gym on July 13th, 2014, 2-5 PM. Taking on the challenge of this fundraising endeavor is both exciting and inspiring. We are making a commitment to raise funds and awareness for Parkinson's disease. We decided to partner up with the Michael J. Fox Foundation because we believe in the importance of helping to ultimately shorten the road to a cure, while helping people with PD better their quality of life in the present with our Rock Steady Boxing training program www.rocksteadyboxingnyla.com
Over five million people worldwide, 1 million only in the United States, are living with Parkinson's disease (PD) - a chronic degenerative neurological disorder whose symptoms typically progress from mild tremors to complete physical incapacitation. 60,000 new cases of PD will be diagnosed this year alone. While the average age of onset is 60, an estimated five to 10 percent of people with PD experience onset at age 40 or younger. There is no known cure for Parkinson's disease. Currently available treatments temporarily mask symptoms while the disease continues to progress. The Michael J. Fox Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson's disease through an aggressively funded research agenda and to ensuring the development of improved therapies for those living with Parkinson's today.
We are asking for your support in our race to put an end to PD. Our personal goal is to raise $ 25,000.00. Please help me reach our goal by making a contribution now. Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law and can be made payable to Rock Steady Boxing NY/LA Inc.
