Emmy award-winning Mainstream Media Journalist Susan Cingari Turns Her Focus to MMA

Coconut Creek, FL (August 27, 2014): Emmy award-winning journalist Susan Cingari, who has been a mainstream media writer, reporter, host and producer for nearly two decades, recently turned her focus to mixed martial arts (MMA). Today she proudly announces the launch of mustlovemma.com, a visual media news site dedicated to the sport of MMA. The site features in-depth video interviews with many of the industry’s elite. Cingari also plans to contribute exclusive MMA content to other reputable news outlets in an effort to generate maximum visibility for the fighters that she interviews.
Cingari’s long-standing working relationships with top-tier sports and mainstream media outlets such as Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, EXTRA, Lifetime, CNN, Inside Edition, Fox News, CBS, FOX Sports, BBC (and many others) translate into unparalleled visibility. In a very short period of time Cingari has successfully garnered notable media attention for numerous fighters, gyms and MMA promotions.
As an MMA Reporter, Cingari aims to shine a light on deserving combat sports athletes and fight organizations in an effort to elevate their brand not only in the MMA realm, but also within mainstream media channels. For more information on her impressive mainstream media background, including an extensive list of athletes and celebrity’s she has worked with, please visit www.SusanCingari.com.
Cingari connects with athletes on a personal level during her in-depth interviews. She produces features that tend to ‘humanize’ the fighter in hopes to connect with fans that are new to the sport, as well as MMA’s growing female demographic. Here is what Cingari had to say about turning her focus to MMA.
“I’ve noticed that most of the stories out there are geared towards the ‘hard core’ fight fan. While I can do pre and post fight interviews (and do report on these on a regular basis), I feel many viewers are missing out on getting to know "the fighter as a person", Cingari stated. ‘My goal is to change that and introduce viewers to the untold stories in mixed martial arts, stories that will impact the audience in a positive and uplifting manner. It is my hope that by doing these special features more people will fall in love with the sport and be as excited as I am to be a part of it.”
One of Cingari’s most recent mixed martial arts features highlights a unique MMA program for the visually impaired. The children’s summer program, created by Master Ricardo Liborio, is offered at the American Top Team facility in Coconut Creek, Florida. During the in-depth interview, Liborio discusses how his daughter, who lost her eye site at a very young age, was the inspiration for the program.

GOLDEN BOY PROMOTIONS, FOX SPORTS 1 AND FOX DEPORTES CELEBRATE THE ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF THE GOLDEN BOY LIVE! SERIES

LOS ANGELES (Aug. 20) - Exactly one year ago yesterday, Golden Boy Promotions, kicked off its lauded Golden Boy Live! series on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes, an undertaking that led to 24 fights in a single year featuring hundreds of fighters in front of thousands of fans from numerous venues across the United States and Puerto Rico.

"When we created Golden Boy Live!, our goal was to showcase up-and-coming fighters to fans eager to see the next generation of superstars," said Oscar De La Hoya, founder and president of Golden Boy Promotions. "We have been thrilled by our partnership with FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes and look forward to continuing our collaboration for many years to come."

The Golden Boy Live! series continues this Friday, August 22 from the Allan Witt Sports Center in Fairfield, Calif. featuring Manuel "Tino" Avila vs. Sergio Frias in the main event.

"As FOX Sports 1 celebrates its first year, it's great to have some of our original partners marking the occasion along with us," said Patrick Crakes, FOX Sports Senior Vice President of Programming, Research and Content Strategy. "Golden Boy Live! continues to deliver quality fights, including three great fight cards scheduled over the next month. We're looking forward to continuing to grow the relationship between Golden Boy Promotions and FOX Sports 1."

Nine of the 24 Golden Boy Live! events featured main event knockouts, including its inaugural fight night from the Best Buy Theater in New York City featuring the recently crowned WBA Middleweight World Champion Daniel "The Miracle Man" Jacobs when he knocked out Giovanni Lorenzo in the third round.

"Fighting on the first Golden Boy Live! event against Giovanni Lorenzo was one of the biggest moments of my career," said Jacobs. "To be at home in New York against a top contender and to win by knockout, let me know that I was on the right track to a world championship. Congratulations on the one-year anniversary and here's to many more years on FOX Sports 1."

Rising star Julian "Camaron" Ramirez spoke about his experience on the series adding, "When you're an up-and-coming fighter learning and improving on your craft, watching my favorite fighters on television was how I got inspired. To be able to fight on Golden Boy Live! and to be the guy that people are watching now, is very exciting and motivating and I can't wait to be back on the series."

After kicking off the series in the Big Apple, Golden Boy Live! events landed in 13 different markets in 15 different venues from the House of Blues in Boston to the Alamodome in San Antonio and worked with various top local promoters in order to plan and execute the best events possible.

"Golden Boy Live! is a throwback to a great era in boxing when the fights were the main thing," said Paco Damian of Paco Presents, a promotional company based in Woodland, Calif. "It doesn't matter if you're a big name or not; if you're on this show, you're going to be in for a fight where the fans are always the winners."

Echoing Damian's sentiments was prominent Texas promoter, Mike Battah: "Whether you're a prospect or a contender, Golden Boy Live! gives boxers the national showcase they need to show their talents to fans and to the industry," Battah said. "This series has provided great opportunities for the fighters. Look at Luis Collazo - he fought on the series and then made it all the way to the MGM Grand on one of the biggest cards of the year (facing Amir Khan on the Floyd Mayweather vs. Marcos Maidana Pay-Per-View Undercard). These weekday events give boxers a great outlet in which to showcase their talents in front of a large audience and build themselves for that next step. These are competitive, evenly matched fights in great venues and I'm proud to be associated with it."

Over the first year, no venue hosted more Golden Boy Live! fight cards than Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif. which hosted four series events. Speaking about the series' connection to its' most frequented property, Fantasy Springs Resort Casino General Manager Paul Ryan stated, "Fantasy Springs Resort Casino has worked with Golden Boy Promotions on various platforms, including the Golden Boy Live! series, to provide the Coachella Valley with quality boxing entertainment all year round. The popularity of the series' fights at Fantasy Springs has been in large part due to the community support given to our local boxers inside the Golden Boy ring and we are eager to see the next generation of excellent talent come through our doors."

Olympians Sadam "World Kid" Ali, Jamell Herring, Rau'shee Warren, Joseph Diaz Jr., Dominic "Trouble" Breazeale and Diego De La Hoya found homes on the Golden Boy Live! fight cards, many of whom were repeat stars of the shows. Those with championship hopes began vying for their chance to prove themselves on boxing's most emerging stage.

"It's been a great privilege to be showcased on Golden Boy Live! The exposure has been tremendous and I have been able to reach out to a lot of new fans. I am honored to be part of the Golden Boy family," saidGolden Boy Live! participant Joseph Diaz Jr.

Diego De La Hoya spoke about the invaluable opportunity that the Golden Boy Live! series affords aspiring champions stating, "To be a young fighter and to get such a great chance to compete on television from the start, I can't thank Golden Boy and FOX Sports enough. You learn a lot fighting at this level and I can't wait for my next fight!"

"Golden Boy Live! helped propel my career," said Francisco "El Bandido" Vargas. "Getting to fight on television for fans around the world is an honor and a privilege for any fighter. I can't wait to get invited back!"

"Being part of this promotional company has been a great journey and I'm looking forward to watching another great show on Friday night. I'm very excited and grateful to be part of this series," added repeatGolden Boy Live! fighter Antonio "Relentless" Orozco.

With shows twice a month, Golden Boy Promotions took advantage of different holidays, and happenings throughout the year including fights on Memorial Day, St. Patrick's Day and even during the first ever New York City Super Bowl week with a special edition fight hosted at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

"We have hosted two Golden Boy Live! events in the last year and we are thrilled that Golden Boy and its relationship with FOX Sports 1 have provided such a tremendous platform to showcase major boxing at Barclays Center," said Brett Yormark, CEO of Barclays Center.

Fighters on the card are not the only stars to grace Golden Boy Live! venues as current and future Hall of Famers including Oscar De La Hoya, Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Tito Trinidad, Roy Jones Jr., Erik Morales, Jesse James Leija and current fighters including current and former World Champions Bernard Hopkins, Danny Garcia, Peter Quillin, Amir Khan, Leo Santa Cruz, Adrien Broner, Abner Mares, Omar Figueroa Jr., Alfredo Angulo,Daniel Ponce De Leon and many others have attended the fights as special guests. FOX SPORTS REACHES MULTI-MEDIA RIGHTS EXTENSION WITH GOLDEN BOY PROMOTIONS

New Agreement Provides Live Boxing for Multiple Domestic & International Outlets, Including FOX Sports 1 & FOX Deportes

New York - FOX Sports and Golden Boy Promotions, founded by 10-time World Champion Oscar De La Hoya, have reached a multi-media rights extension to televise exciting live boxing in the United States and internationally.  The new multi-year agreement keeps Golden Boy Promotions' bouts with FOX Sports for years to come, and helps establish a new Monday night boxing franchise on FOX Sports 1 (FS1), FOX Sports' new, national multi-sport cable channel launching on Aug. 17.  Financial terms were not disclosed.

"When we started Golden Boy, we made a promise to only do business with the best companies out there," said De La Hoya, President of Golden Boy Promotions.  "To be partnered with FOX on this sensational series is a great fit.  We look forward to working with FOX Sports 1 for years to come in giving fans the best boxing matches available."

"Led by the dynamic Oscar De La Hoya and its Chief Executive Officer Richard Schaefer, Golden Boy Promotions has developed a great reputation over the last several years for putting together exciting cards with top-flight fighters," said Patrick Crakes, Senior Vice President, Programming & Research, FOX Sports.  "It's great that we've been able to build upon and expand what has already been a fruitful relationship that benefits multiple networks in the FOX Sports family, domestically and internationally."

Under the new agreement FOX Sports retains exclusive domestic rights to 48 live two-hour events (featuring two or three fights per event) annually with many of Golden Boy Promotions' brightest stars expected to be featured.  FS1 is scheduling 24 live events per year, with FOX Deportes, the nation's leading Spanish-language sports network, airing all 48 events live, an increase from 36 in the previous deal.  The 24 events on FS1 will all originate in the U.S., and most are expected to run on Monday nights once the network launches.  FOX Deportes will simulcast the same 24 events as FS1 in Spanish, plus air 24 others that originate from Mexico.  Once events air on FS1, each will be available for encore presentations on FOX Sports regional networks.  Fox International Channels also holds exclusive rights to all 48 live fights in the Central America, South America, the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe (excluding the U.K.) and Middle East territories.  Finally, all events will be available via authenticated streaming through FOX Sports Go.

"We are thrilled to partner with FOX as the boxing provider for FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes," added Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer.  "For years, the best of boxing has been available primarily on premium cable and pay-per-view only, but our partnership with FOX Sports signifies a major step-up in exposure for the fighter, Golden Boy Promotions and the entire sport.  We are confident that with our mix of world class fights and fighters combined with the reach and promotional capacities that FOX Sports provides, the sky is really the limit for us all."

In addition to Golden Boy's live events, all FOX Sports channels have access to 24 classic archived events from the promoter's extensive library.  Archive fights feature many of boxing biggest names, including De La Hoya, Floyd Mayweather, Bernard Hopkins, Canelo Alvarez, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto, Juan Manuel Marquez and Shane Mosley.
