(Aug. 20) - California's finest will take to the ring at the Allan Witt Sports Center in Fairfield, Calif. on Friday, August 22, with a host of young prospects who are ready to test themselves on a stacked nine-fight card filled with explosive fistic action. In the Golden Boy Live! main event on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes, top junior featherweight prospect Manuel "Tino" Avila puts his undefeated record on the line against Mexico's Sergio "Finito" Frias. In the co-main event, it's an eight-round heavyweight showdown when unbeaten Gerald "El Gallo" Washington faces veteran standout Nagy Aguilera. In the eight-round televised opener, Sacramento featherweight Guy Robb squares off against unbeaten Ronell Green of Wheeling, West Virginia. A six-round lightweight bout that may see television time on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes will feature San Jose's Andy "The Shark" Vences (8-0, 4 KOs) against Hollywood's Cesar Martinez (4-2-2, 1 KO). Unbeaten as a professional, Vences has won his last two fights by knockout, most recently stopping 59-fight veteran Adolfo Landeros in two rounds in July. The 25-year-old Martinez, a native of Spain, hopes to get back on the winning track after an April draw with undefeated Luis Ambrosio. Junior middleweights Joel Siapano (0-1) of San Leandro and Jesus Sanchez (1-0) of Fresno kicked off their professional careers against each other in July, with Sanchez pulling out a four-round split decision victory. Now they will meet again this Friday to settle the score. Vacaville cruiserweight Ryan Bourland (3-0, 2 KOs) will seek his fourth straight professional win when he battles debuting Phillip Smith of Modesto in a four-round bout. Plus, Madera's Chris Bautista (2-0) faces Percy Peterson (0-3-1) in a junior welterweight bout, middleweights Mauricio Zavaleta (1-1, 1 KO)of San Leandroand William Walters (1-3) of Sacramento meet in a middleweight matchup, and in the featherweight opener, Los Angeles'Manny Robles Jr. (5-0, 2 KOs) gets a veteran test in the form of Acapulco's Sergio Najera(8-14-2, 2 KOs). GUY ROBB MARCHES ON WITH A UNANIMOUS DECISION VICTORY OVER JOHN HERRERA

May 17, 2013 - Tonight featherweight prospect Guy Robb (11-1, 4 KO's) marched forward with a unanimous decision victory against John Herrera (4-7-1, 2 KOs) at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona. 

From the opening round, Robb controlled the action with pressure while throwing a lot of punches.  Herrera was durable but never showed he could hurt Robb with any of his punches.  The scorecards read 60-54 across the board.

"This was my first fight with Boxing 360 and I'm glad I came out victorious." said Robb. "My promoter Mario Yagobi says he plans to get me right back in the ring.  Once I get back home I'm getting right back to the gym to get ready for the next one.  I'm excited about my future."

GUY ROBB MAKES 2013 DEBUT THIS FRIDAY IN PHOENIX ARIZONA

May 13, 2013 - Featherweight Guy Robb (10-1, 4 KOs) will return to the ring this Friday May 15, 2013at the Celebrity Theater in Phoenix, Arizona.  This will be Robb's first bout under the Boxing 360 Promotional banner.  Robb is scheduled to face John Herrera (4-6-1, 2 KOs) in a six-round bout.

Guy Robb gained national exposure with his gutty performance against fellow Boxing 360 stable mate Joel Diaz Jr. (11-0, 10 KO's).  Robb suffered his first loss against Diaz, but has regained his confidence by closing out 2012 with three consecutive wins, two of which came by knockout. 

"I feel real strong since my move to featherweight," said Robb. "I've learned a lot since my loss to Diaz.  My confidence is growing with each fight.  Right now I'm riding a three fight winning streak.  I'm looking forward to staying busy and winning fights.  I just signed with Boxing 360 and my promoter Mario Yagobi said he's ready to take me to the next level. Gibson and Robb sign with Boxing 360

April 18, 2013 - Boxing 360 has deepened its promotional roster with the signing of a couple young and exciting prospects, Keandre Gibson (8-0-1, 3KOs) and Guy Robb (10-1, 4KOs)

The junior welterweight prospect Keandre Gibson inks his deal as an undefeated 23yr old with a rare combination of athletic prowess and determined excitement. The Missouri born Gibson trains out of Southern California where he is quickly gaining the reputation for spirited bouts filled with his dynamic style of fighting.

Gibson will now get the opportunity to take a step up in every aspect of his career, although he has been matched tough thus far in his career and he has also competed in some big venues.

"I couldn't be happier because I know things are about to get really exciting. There are a lot of great promotional companies out there and they all have their pros and cons, with Boxing360 you get the highest form of loyalty that exists in the sport, a sport not known for loyalty. The other fighter signed is the always entertaining 24yr old featherweight Guy Robb. The once beaten fighter is on a 3 fight winning streak since his lone loss.

That loss came against fellow Boxing360 promoted fighter Joel Diaz Jr. in what was one of the most action filled contests of ShoBox: The New Generation history. The two fighters gained a cult following in the aftermath of their memorable 2012, even Robb in his loss walked away with adoring fans that have been clamoring for a rematch one day. With both fighters under the same promotional umbrella, a rematch is a possibility and assuming they both continue moving up the ranks it could be a much more meaningful fight with deeper implications associated to the bout.

"A lot of people want me to fight Joel again, they loved the first fight and hope we can duplicate the action. My fan base did grow after that fight and I love my fans because they are the kind of fans that really appreciate a fighter who leaves it all on the line. I guess with me and Joel on the roster it makes a rematch more likely, but I'm more concerned with my own future right now and if the road to success leads through a 2nd fight with Joel then I'll be happy to give him a 3rd when I beat him," Robb said.

Repo Rick who manages both Robb and Gibson feels he made the right choice signing his fighters with Boxing 360.

Yagobi is thrilled with the possibilities that come with signing an action fighter like Robb and knows that Diaz Jr. is one of many fights that makes sense for Robb.

Diaz of Palmdale, California has a record of 10-0 with nine knockouts and has been impressive in his two year professional career.

The twenty year old already has signature wins over Guy Robb (7-0) via seventh round stoppage and in his last bout when scored a fifth round stoppage over former world title challenger Emanuel Lucero (26-10-1) on June 2^nd in Tacoma, Washington.

Sanchez of Buffalo, New York has a record of 13-5-1 with six knockouts.

Sanchez won his first eleven bouts and he has victories over four undefeated fighters in Harvey Murray (2-0-2), Eddie Irizarry (5-0), Miguel Rodriguez (6-0) and Rod Salka (12-0). 

The twenty-four year old has been matched extremely tough as evidenced by his fights with Dominic Salcido (17-2), Future world champion Adrien Broner (16-0), Mark Davis (15-0), former world title challenger Edner Cherry (28-7). In that bout he had Cherry on the canvas in the first round.  In his last bout, Sanchez dropped an eight round unanimous decision to undefeated Ronny Rios (17-0) on April 7^th.

In an intriguing six round Heavyweight bout, former world amateur champion Joey Dawejko (7-0-1, 3 KO’s) of Philadelphia, PA takes on Dorsett Barnwell (6-0, 3 KO’s) of Norfolk, VA.

Rising Light Heavyweight prospect, Lavarn “Baby Bowe” Harvell (12-0, 7 KO’s) will see action in a six round bout against an opponent to be announced.
