GSP HOT PROSPECTS KENNETH SIMS JR. & EDUARDO MARTINEZ REMAIN UNDEFEATED WITH UNANIMOUS VICTORIES

NEW YORK (November 13, 2014) - Tonight at The Space at Westbury in Westbury, New York, Gary Shaw Productions and Antonio Leonard Promotions' undefeated prospects, light welterweight Kenneth Sims Jr. (4-0, 2 KOs) and super-bantamweight Eduardo Martinez (4-0, 1 KO), remained undefeated, both winning by unanimous decision in separate 6-round bouts. 

Sims Jr. used superior boxing skills and cruised to a convincing victory against Francisco Lopez (2-2).  With the win, Sims Jr. believes his career is moving in the right direction.  

"I wanted to come out here tonight and establish my jab and take my time while working my game plan," said Kenneth Sims Jr.  "I got into a rhythm early everything seemed to come easy.  All my punches were landing and I wasn't getting hit.  I know I'm getting better each time I step in the ring. I feel great with how my career is developing.  I want to thank Gary Shaw for keeping me busy.  I'm ready to get back in the ring when Gary calls my name."

Martinez used his pressure style to outwork his opponent, Jose Del Valle (4-9-3).  Although Del Valle had the advantage in height, Martinez was able to get inside and work the body.  Martinez feels excited about his future. 

"I'm always trying to get better with every fight," Martinez said. "Tonight I learned how to fight a taller opponent so the experience was very valuable.  I know Gary Shaw has big plans for me so I'm excited to get back in the gym and keep learning my craft.  I'm looking forward to getting back in the ring."

NEW JERSEY (July 1, 2014) - Gary Shaw Productions and Antonio Leonard Promotions are happy to announce the return of their highly touted prospects,Kenneth "Bossman" Sims Jr. (2-0, 1 KO) and Eduardo Martinez (2-0, 1 KO).  Both fighters hail from Chicago and will fight July 11, 2014 at the Little Creek Casino Resort in Shelton, WA.

Headlining the ESPN "Friday Night Fights" card will be middleweights Tureano Johnson (14-1, 10 KOs) and Mike Gavronski (14-0-1, 10 KOs) who'll battle in a 10-round middleweight showdown for the Continental Americas USNBC Title.  In the co-feature, lightweights, Art Hovhannisyan (17-1-2, 9 KOs) and Jonathan Maicelo(20-1, 12 KOs) will square off for the WBC International Silver Title.  The ESPN "Friday Night Fights" telecast begins at 9:00 p.m. EST / 6:00 p.m. PST.

Simms Jr. will fight Evan Woolsey (2-2) in a 4-round Welterweight bout.  The fight will be the TV swing bout of the night.  Sims Jr. is coming off an impressive first round KO in his last fight and will look to continue the momentum.

"It felt real good to get that knockout in my last fight," said Sims Jr. "I'm going to come out strong again and see what happens.  If I can get the knockout then that would be great.  I'm not going to be headhunting but I'll be throwing hard shots for every angle. Martinez battles Lavale Wilson (1-3) 4-round Featherweight bout.  Martinez also recorded a first round knockout in his last bout, the first of his career. 

"Shaw and Leonard are doing a great job keeping us busy," said Martinez. "I'm a pressure fighter so I'm always looking to wear down my opponent and get the knockout.  I'll be aggressive in this fight and will be doing my best to please the fans with a great exciting fight."

KENNETH SIMS JR. & EDUARDO MARTINEZ WIN BY KNOCKOUT AND IMPROVE TO 2-0

MILWAUKEE (April 25, 2014) - Gary Shaw Productions undefeated sensations, Jr. Welterweight Kenneth "Bossman" Sims Jr. (2-0, 1 KO) and Super-Bantamweight Eduardo Martinez (2-0, 1 KO) were victorious tonight at the Turner Hall Ballroom in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Both men competed in separate 4-round bouts.

Martinez mounted a vicious body attack that forced his opponent, Mateo Soto (0-5), to quit on his stool after the first round.  The body blows were heard throughout the arena and Martinez was elated with joy, winning is second professional bout by knockout, the first of his bright career.

"My goal was to come out here tonight and get the knockout," said Martinez. "I felt my punches were doing a lot of damage because I could hear my opponent grunting every time I landed a shot to his body. Gary Shaw, Antonio Leonard and James Prince are doing a great job with my career and I can't wait to return to action.  I'm very happy with my performance and I want to get back in the ring as soon as possible."

Sims Jr. won by 2nd round knockout by using superior boxing skills while landing hard shots to his opponent Jose Araguz (0-2). After a series of nice combinations that had Arqauz hurt in round one, a right hook ended the bout in the second round. Sims records his first knockout of his career.

"I brought the heat like I said I was going to do, and I got the KO," said Sims Jr. "There is nothing more exciting than winning a professional fight by knockout. MILWAUKEE (April 25, 2014) - Tonight at the Turner Hall Ballroom in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Gary Shaw Productions undefeated rising stars, Kenneth Sims Jr. (1-0) and Eduardo Martinez (1-0) will make the second appearances' as professional fighters when the both go to battle in separate 4-round bouts.  

Sims Jr. who campaigns a Jr. Welterweight, will take on Michigan's Jose Araguz (0-1).  As an amateur, Sims was recognized as one to the top fighters in America.  He looks to add to his winning ways with a stellar performance tonight when he faces Araguz.

"Tonight I want to come out and really bring the heat to my opponent," said Sims Jr. "This is my second pro fight and I want to make my promoter's Gary Shaw and Antonio Leonard proud.  I have a bus load of fans coming out tonight to see me fight so they will be the priority. Martinez, who fights at Super-Bantamweight, will face Michigan's Mateo Soto (0-4).  Martinez who was an amateur champion, will seek to keep the momentum going after winning his first pro fight.

CHICAGO (January 26, 2014) - Gary Shaw Productions and Antonio Leonard Promotions have just signed two of the top U.S. amateur boxers in Kenneth Sims Jr. and Eduardo Martinez.  Both fighters who hail from Chicago, IL, were brought to the professional ranks by manager James Prince and are trained by Kenneth Sims Sr.

Kenneth Sims Jr. (198-21) is a highly decorated amateur standout with over 200 amateur fights.  Having become a 2-time National Pal Champion, Sims Jr. was also the 2013 USA National Champion, a Silver Gloves Champion, a Junior Olympic Bronze Medalist, a 3-time Ringside World Champion and a 2012 Olympic Trials Semifinalist.  At age 20 and Standing 5'10, while competing in the lightweight division, Sims Jr. has all tools to become something special in the sport.

"I started boxing at age 9 and I fell in love with the sport after winning my first trophy," said Kenneth Sims Jr. "My dad forced me to start boxing because I was the smallest kid in my class and the rest is history.  I feel I made the right decision signing with Gary Shaw and Antonio Leonard, along with my manager James Prince. After winning numerous amateur tournaments, Eduardo Martinez (85-10) won the 2013 USA Boxing National Championship.  At age 21, Martinez stands 5'6 and fights in the bantamweight division.  With power in both hands, Martinez is tailor made for professional boxing.

"It's been my dream to become a professional boxer since I started boxing at age 13," Eduardo Martinez said.
