DANNY JACOBS, Newly crowned WBC Continental Americas Middleweight Champion (Knockout win over Giovanni Lorenzo; 2:05 of Round 3)

"I know a lot of people are looking up to me because I'm a cancer survivor. I want to be inspirational to people.  I want people to know that if you work hard, you can fulfill your dreams.

"This win feels amazing.  I knew I had Brooklyn here supporting me and it fueled me in the ring and got me so excited.

"I owe it all to the man above. God has gotten me through a lot in my life.

"He hit me with a good left hook and I said, 'Okay, let's go.'

"He came after me and I said 'I got something for you.'

"He tried to use some Bernard Hopkins tactics on me and get into my head, but I knew I had the skills to beat him."

EDDIE GOMEZ, Undefeated Rising Welterweight Star (Technical knockout win over Steven Upsher Chambers; 2:33 of Round 4)

"I had to be smart and take my time.  It felt good in there.  I had a great training camp.

"They kept saying that he [Steven Upsher Chambers] was a veteran.  I never saw him that way.

"Once they gave me an opponent, I took the fight immediately.  I knew that Luis Collazo beat him [Upsher Chambers], and Luis is a world champion.  I need to step it up in my career and face tougher guys like that.

"You saw what happened tonight.  I made this happen. It is a preview for what's to come in my career.

"I thought he was going to come in to box, but when came forward I knew he didn't have the power to stop me."

TERRELL GAUSHA, 2012 U.S. Olympian and Middleweight Rising Star (Knockout win over Austin Marcum; 1:04 of Round 2)

"It was an honor to be the first fight on Fox Sports 1 as well as to compete on the same card as my Olympic brother Marcus Browne.  I hope my win last night was the first of many to come on the network and Golden Boy Live.

"I was excited about the fight.  I felt like it was a great opportunity to showcase my talent and I think I did great.  I still have some things to work on, but overall I felt like I made a statement in my performance."

MARCUS BROWNE, 2012 U.S. Olympian and Light Heavyweight Rising Star (Knockout win over Robert Hill; :59 of Round 1)

"I trained so hard and I'm ready to take it to the next level and go the distance.

"Boxing is a fighters sport and he didn't come to fight.

"It was a short upper cut to the forehead. I was surprised he went down from that punch.

"I'm ready to progress as a professional. I want to go full rounds and hope to learn from those type of fights in the future."

2012 U.S. OLYMPIAN TERRELL GAUSHA AND UNBEATEN PROSPECT EMMANUEL GONZALEZ ROUND OUT THE GOLDEN BOY LIVE! FIGHT CARD ON AUGUST 19 IN NEW YORK CITY

NEW YORK CITY, August 18 - The August 19 launch of Golden Boy Live! has the boxing world buzzing as a fresh era of Monday night boxing kicks off on America's new sports network FOX Sports 1, but fans in attendance at the Best Buy Theater in New York City will get even more compelling action with the addition of 2012 United States Olympian Terrell Gausha and promising up and comer Emmanuel Gonzalez to the undercard.

In previously announced bouts, Brooklyn's Danny Jacobs (25-1, 22 KO's) takes the biggest step in his miraculous comeback after surviving cancer when he battles fellow New Yorker Giovanni Lorenzo (32-5, 24 KO's) in the televised 10-round main event for the vacant WBC Continental Americas Title.  In the co-main event, unbeaten Bronx junior middleweight Eddie Gomez (14-0, 9 KO's) faces Philadelphia's Steven Upsher Chambers (24-2-1, 6 KO's).  Plus, 2012 United States Olympian and undefeated Staten Island native Marcus Browne (5-0, 5 KO's) will face Monroe, Louisiana's Robert Hill (1-1).

Jacobs vs. Lorenzo is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and sponsored by Corona and O'Reilly Auto Parts.  Doors open at 7:30 p.m. ET with the first bell sounding at 7:45 p.m. ET. The FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes broadcast will air live at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT.

Opening the FOX Sports 1 telecast is Cleveland super middleweight Terrell Gausha (9-2, 3 KO's) who has impressed fight fans since his appearance in the 2012 London Games, winning four consecutive bouts, two by knockout.  Now looking forward to his debut in the Big Apple, the 25-year-old will be pushed to the limits in a six-round bout against hard-hitting Austin Marcum (5-3, 3 KO's) of Logan, West Virginia.

Bronx junior lightweight Emmanuel Gonzalez (11-0, 7 KO's) is a popular young fighter in the New York area, making him the perfect fighter to open up the event this Monday.  Coming off of an eight-round win over then 6-1 prospect Chazz McDowell in July, the 25-year-old Gonzalez will have plenty of support at the Best Buy Theater when he faces Mobile, Alabama's Michael Doyle (2-3, 1 KO) in a four-round bout.

Best remembered by local fight fans for his classic 2011 New York Golden Gloves bout with Jose Davila, Brooklyn welterweight Gary "Buddah" Beriguette (1-0, 1 KO) got his pro career off to a rousing start with a third round technical knockout victory of Carlos Nieves on June 29.  But before the 24-year-old can nab win number two, he'll have to get by 26-year-old New York City product Kamal Muhammad (0-1) in a four-round bout which will also air on FOX Sports 1 time permitting.

AN EXCITING NIGHT OF BOXING WILL FEATURE FORMER WELTERWEIGHT WORLD CHAMPION LUIS COLLAZO TAKING ON RISING STAR ALAN SANCHEZ LIVE
ON FOX SPORTS 1 & FOX DEPORTES

San Antonio's Star Raul Martinez Battles Daniel Quevedo In Co-Featured Bout

SAN ANTONIO, August 13 - Boxing's hit new series, Golden Boy Live!, heads to the Cowboys Dancehall in San Antonio, Texas on Monday, September 2 to celebrate Labor Day weekend with an exciting night of fistic action featuring a 10-round welterweight bout between former World Champion Luis Collazo and surging 22-year-old prospect Alan Sanchez.  The fight will air live on FOX Sports 1, America's new sports network and FOX Deportes.

In addition, one of San Antonio's finest, Raul "The Cobra" Martinez, faces off with the always tough Daniel "Cuate" Quevedo in an eight-round super bantamweight battle.

Collazo vs. Sanchez,
10-round welterweight bout, is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Leija*Battah Promotions and sponsored by Corona and O'Reilly Auto Parts.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m. CTand the first fight starts at 7:00 p.m. CT.  The FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes broadcast airs live at 9:00 p.m. ET/8:00 p.m. CT/6:00 p.m. PT.

Tickets, priced at $100, $65 and $20, plus applicable taxes, fees and service charges, are on sale now and available for purchase by phone by calling Leigh*Battah Promotions at (210) 979-3302.

After returning to the ring in 2012 following a year long layoff, New York native Luis Collazo(33-5, 17 KO's) has looked in prime form in recent wins over Steven Upsher Chambers and Miguel Callist.  Now hoping to get back into the race to regain the welterweight crown he wore from 2005-2006, the 32-year-old southpaw must first get past a hungry Sanchez in the FOX Sports 1 main event on Sept 2.

Rapidly becoming a must-see fighter on the California fight scene, 22-year-old Alan Sanchez(12-2-1, 6 KO's) will fight in Texas for the first time, riding a seven-fight winning streak that includes a first-round technical knockout win over of Artemio Reyes, avenging a loss from their first encounter in 2010, and scoring recent knockouts over Manuel Leyva and Miguel Angel Munguia.  Now he steps up to the big time against Collazo, but the Fairfield, Calif. native is ready for the spotlight.

Seen by most boxing observers as one of the best boxers to not win a title in the current era, San Antonio's Raul Martinez (29-3, 17 KO's) has always given a supreme effort in the ring as he battles the best opposition possible, including Nonito Donaire, who handed Martinez his first professional loss in their April 2009 title fight.  Now looking to get back to the top and fulfill his promise at 31 years old, Martinez plans on giving his hometown fans a show to remember this September.

A native of Sinaloa, Mexico who now fights out of Los Angeles, 29-year-old Daniel Quevedo(13-13-3, 8 KO's) has a deceptive record, because when the bell rings, he is as tough as they come.  A rugged competitor who has been stopped only once in his eight-year career, Quevedo's battles with the likes of former World Champions Leo Santa Cruz and Eric Morel have prepared him for anything Martinez has for him on fight night.

"Boxing on Monday nights is something fans will be watching.  What a great way to start the week by watching Monday night boxing.

"This is the first of the 24 shows and there's going to constantly be more fights [on FOX Sports 1].  When I was coming up, we had Tuesday night fights.  Now, we have [Monday night fights] FOX Sports 1.

"Barclays Center will host some of these shows, which is great because they've already been hosting great fights and doing a great job."

BILL WANGER, Executive Vice President of Programming & Research, FOX Sports

"On behalf of FOX Sports 1 and FOX Sports, we're thrilled to create a destination for this franchise.  On Monday nights, kicking off on August 19, we'll have two fights a month, every other week.

"We're thrilled to be in business with Oscar De La Hoya, Bernard Hopkins and the entire Golden Boy Promotions staff.  We're just excited to get started."

DANNY JACOBS, Top Middleweight Contender

"All this for me?  This is amazing.  I'm truly blessed.  God has been with me since day one.  I'm fortunate to be here and to have my own main event.

"Two years ago, I was battling a war.  I was paralyzed in a hospital battling cancer, so for me to come back and have my own main event in Times Square, it doesn't get any better than that.

"I'm fortunate to be a part of this and to be able to say to my son that his daddy was a part of something special.

"Giovanni is a tremendous fighter, a very good fighter, and I know he's going to bring it come fight night.  He's going to be a tough test.

"I know Giovanni says he has a sturdy chin and a good punch, but you can't hit what you can't see.

"I have very quick hand speed, very good punching power and my knockout ratio is up there.  Giovanni is going to be a real good test for me.  Much respect to his camp, butMonday night it's going to be all Danny Jacobs.

"August 19 is going to be a great show, and tickets are only 35 dollars.  You can't beat that.  Come support us up and coming fighters."

GIOVANNI LORENZO, Former World Title Challenger

"I'm very happy I'm fighting in Manhattan after so many years.

"It's been a while since I've fought amongst my people.

"I look forward to facing Danny Jacobs, who is a very good fighter.

"Sometimes when people get nervous they start to say things that they don't really mean, but one thing I know is that I have a sturdy chin, I can pack a punch and I'm going to be victorious August 19.  That is all."

EDDIE GOMEZ, Undefeated Rising Welterweight Star

"I'm excited about being on this undercard and about being on a card with Danny Jacobs, Marcus Browne, Claude Staten and a lot of New York fighters.

"August 19, whether it's by knockout, decision or whatever it is, I'm taking that victory.

"I know Chambers has two losses, and on August 19 he's going to have three."

STEVEN UPSHER CHAMBERS, Welterweight Contender

"I would like to thank Golden Boy Promotions and FOX Sports 1 for having me.

"I'm eager to get back in that ring.  It's unfortunate that it has to be against Eddie Gomez because I would like to see him keep winning, but this time he has to go down.

"This is my big opportunity right here.  I guarantee you're going to see a great show.  Tune in August 19 and you'll see me get a great victory."

MARCUS BROWNE, 2012 U.S. Olympian & Rising Light Heavyweight Star

"I'm excited to be part of this card.  I'm training hard.  I know these guys are training hard because we don't want to look bad on TV.

"I'm going to make my momma proud.

"I know Danny Jacobs is going to do his part. I know Eddie Gomez is going to do his part.  I know Claude Staten is going to do his part.  I hope our opponents are ready because it's going to be a great show."

CLAUDE STATEN JR., Bantamweight Prospect

"I'm excited to be here and I'm excited to be sharing the stage with Danny Jacobs, Eddie Gomez, and Mr. Staten Island, Marcus Browne.  I'm also excited to be up here with Bernard Hopkins because my professional debut was on his card on March 9.

"On August 19, I am going to get my second victory and keep working."
