Spoiler Damian Frias ready for war Saturday Night on Garcia-Lopez undercard Against undefeated Mikael Zewski in Dallas

SHS BOXING MANAGEMENT MIAMI (June 13, 2013) - Cuban-born welterweight Damian "Devo" Frias (19-7-1, 10 KOs) will be back in his customary role as a potential spoiler Saturday night in Dallas as he takes on undefeated welterweight prospect Mikael Zewski (19-0, 15 KOs) in an eight-round bout at American Airlines Center.  Zewski-Frias is on the Mikey Garcia-Juan Manuel Lopez undercard. Frias already has one major upset on his resume having defeated 21-1-1 Henry Crawford (TKO9) in 2011.  In his last three fights, after his upset of Crawford, Frias went the distance in losses to, in order, Ionut Dan Ion (30-2), Vitaliy Demyenanko (25-0) and Carlos Molina (19-5-2). "After beating Crawford," Frias said, "my career didn't take off like I had expected. Maybe that will happen after this fight?  My last three fights have been against top fighters.  I wasn't prepared for the Molina fight but the other two fights I thought I should have won.  I felt I beat the Russian fighter in Seattle.  I lost to Ion by two points.  I dropped him but they called it a slip.  I don't have a promoter to protect me like these guys." Zewski, a Canadian, is promoted by Top Rank, which is also promoting the show.  "I fight for me and that's the way it's been," Frias added.  "My manager, Si Stern, gets me fights, and I don't care who it's against or where.  I just deal with it.  I'm not intimidated by anybody and don't mind fighting in front of my opponent's fans. "I don't know too much about Zewski and don't really care about him or what he brings into the ring.  I've heard that he's supposed to be a strong fighter.  We'll see. He's in for a big surprise if he's taking me lightly.  I'm ready to go to war." "Damian is as tough as they come, no fear, and he's a very dangerous opponent for any welterweight," Stern commented.  "He should really have a few more wins than he does but he's fought a lot of good guys on the road.  Nobody's ever stopped Damian."

VITALIY DEMYANENKO Looking For Big Fights After Saturday's Victory

November 5, 2012  - This past Saturday at Brian Halquist Productions' 89th "Battle at the Boat" at the Emerald Casino in Tacoma, Washington, welterweight contender, Vitaliy Demyanenko (22-0, 12 KOs), remained undefeated with a split decision win against Damian Frias (19-6-1, 10 KOs). 

Although Demyanenko dropped Frais in the 7th round, one judge scored the bout in favor for Frais 96-93, while the other two scored it 97-92 and 95-94 for Vitaliy.  With the victory, Demyanenko is seeking fights with some of the bigger names in the division.

"I'm ready to step up and challenge anyone in the top ten," said Demyanenko. "I'm undefeated, I'm hungry and I have a great team behind me that's making all the right moves.  My promoter Boxing 360 is looking to get me in a big fight and I'll be ready to go when he calls my name."

"Demyanenko's victory this weekend was another step in the right direction," stated Steve Pochiro, Demyanenko's manger. "Yagobi and I are looking to get him back in the ring by early next year.  I'm confident Vitaliy has what it takes to become a world champion and 2013 will be the year we make our run."

October 31, 2012 - Undefeated welterweight contender, Vitaliy Demyanenko (21-0, 12 KOs), will be showcased in the main event at the Emerald Casino in Tacoma, Washington this Saturday November 3rd, when he faces journeyman, Damian Frias (19-5-1, 10 KOs) in a 10-round bout.  The event is promoted by Brian Halquist Productions in association with Boxing 360, who promotes Demyanenko. 

Demyanenko looks to continue his march up the welterweight rankings and add another win to his undefeated record.  With a possible TV fight looming for the Russian born standout, Vitaliy is looking to make a statement against Frias.

"Training camp is complete and I'm excited to be fighting in the main event this Saturday," said Demyanenko. "I know Frais is coming to fight but there's nothing he can do that is going to surprise me.  My trainer and I have studied his tapes and we've put together a masterful game plan to counter his attack.  My goal in this fight is to get the knockout, but I'm prepared to go the distance if I have too."

"Vitaliy is ready to go and I expect him to have a great performance against Frais," stated Demyanenko's manager Steve Pochiro. "The ultimate goal is to position Demyanenko into the top ten of all sanctioning organizations by early next year."

October 17, 2012 - Making a quick return to the ring is undefeated welterweight contender, Vitaliy Demyanenko (21-0, 12 KOs), who'll be fighting Damian Frias (19-5-1, 10 KOs) on November 3, 2012, in the main event at the Emerald Casino in Tacoma, Washington.  The 10-round bout will be promoted by Brian Halquist Productions in association with Boxing 360. 

Last week, Demyanenko won a unanimous decision against Roberto Valenzuela in a 6-round bout that took place at the Remington Park Racing Casino in, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.   Vitaliy looks to continue his winning ways against Frias.

"It very pleased that my promoter Boxing 360 has another fight lined up for me," said Demyanenko. "My manager Steve Pochiro is working great with Mario Yagobi and together they are doing a wonderful job getting me fights.  As long as I'm healthy I want to keep fighting as much as possible.  Frias is a good fighter and he's one not to look past.  I'll be ready for this fight and I will be victorious when the final bell rings."

VITALIY DEMYANENKO VICTORIOUS IN RETURN

 

October 11, 2012 -Tonight at the Remington Park Racing Casino in, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, unbeaten welterweight standout, Vitaliy Demyanenko (21-0, 12 KOs), won a lopsided unanimous decision against Roberto Valenzuela (65-63-2, 32 KOs).

From the opening round, Demyanenko controlled the fight with constant pressure and hard combinations.  Although the bout went the distance, Valenzuela never was in the fight as he was outclassed from the opening bell.  The scorecards read 60-54 across the board.

"Valenzuela fought hard, but I wasn't going to be denied tonight," said Demyanenko. "I'm feeling unstoppable and I'm looking forward to stepping up the competition.  As soon as my promoter Boxing 360 has something lined up, I'll be ready to go."

"Demyanenko is determined to take his career to the next level," said Mario Yagobi of Boxing 360. "He's getting better with every fight and that's what I like to see.  I'm going to keep him busy as long as he's healthy.  He'll return to the ring very soon."

VITALIY DEMYANENKO RETURNS TO THE RING OCTOBER 11

October 10, 2012 - Undefeated welterweight contender, Vitaliy Demyanenko (20-0, 12 KOs) returns to the ring this Thursday October 11, 2012, at the Remington Park Racing Casino in, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  He'll face veteran journeyman, Roberto Valenzuela (65-63-2, 32 KOs) in a scheduled 6-round bout.

In his last fight, Demyanenko, who's promoted by Boxing 360, dominated Ayi Bruce (22-8, 14 KOs), winning all eight rounds as the judges' scorecards read 80-72 across the board.  Vitaliy looks to march forward with his career and continue climbing up the welterweight rankings.

"After spending the summer in my homeland of Russia, I'm ready to get back in fighting mode," said Demyanenko. "I've been working hard in the gym and I'll be ready to take on Valenzuela this Thursday.  I know he has a lot of experience, but I'm a young hungry fighter with a goal to be a world champion. I won't be denied when we face each other."

March 20, 2012 - After a dominating performance this past weekend en route to winning a one-sided unanimous decision against Ayi Bruce (21-6, 13 KOs), Boxing360's Vitaliy Demyanenko (20-0, 12 KOs) looks to get a big fight with a top 10 contender as he seeks a world title in the near future.

The confident Demyanenko believes in his ability to become a world champion. "I've reached my goal of 20 wins and now I'm looking at big fights against top 10 contenders,'' he said. "Once you've reached this level there are no easy fights. Knowing this, I'm determined to work harder in the gym and polish up my game as I move forward. After his fight with Bruce, Demyanenko flew back to his native country of Kazakhstan, where he will spend a month with his father Viktor Demyanenko, a former 1980 Summer Olympics Silver Medalist in the lightweight division, before returning back to the states.

The fight started hot for Ennis as he came out boxing beautifully over the first two plus rounds as he mixed up his punches and he could seem to do no wrong. Ennis landed a booming right hand that sent Savage to the canvas in round three and Ennis seemed to be on his way to an easy night and early stoppage. Savage regained his composure and actually controlled some of the middle rounds by constantly pinning Ennis on the ropes and pounding the body of the Philadelphia native. Ennis would try to steal rounds and he did successfully with bursts in the last thirty seconds of many rounds.

Ennis stabilized the Savage rally and the two fought tooth and nail to the final bell with Ennis deservedly getting the decision.

Ennis now is 19-1 will look for a big fight in the loaded Super Middleweight division while Savage fought well but will have to go back to Flint, Michigan with a record of 11-3.

In the co-feature, Vitaliy Demyaneko scored a solid eight round unanimous decision over rugged Ayi Bruce in a Welterweight bout.

Demyaneko controlled the fight from a comfortable distance as he showed a diverse arsenal and kept Bruce from mounting any sustained offense.

Demyaneko remained perfect and won by shutout scores of 80-72 on all cards and is now 20-0.

Dennis Hasson remained perfect with a second round stoppage over Eddie Caminero in a six round Light Heavyweight bout.

Popular Patrick Farrell thrilled his throngs of fans as the Irish Heavyweight made it a joyous St. Patrick’s Day with a four round unanimous decision over Kelven Jenkins.

Good looking Jr. Middleweight prospect Mikael Zewski scored a ninety-two second stoppage over Joel Vargas in a scheduled six round bout.

In what was the fight of the night, Jose Mangu Alejo scored a razor thin split decision over Sammy Santana in a Jr. Welterweight bout.

Many at ringside thought that Santana claimed victory but the two stood toe to toe and had many furious exchanges with both their fists and mouths. What was later found out is that the exciting Alejo fought with a badly injured hand from the first round going forward.

Opening the card was a successful pro debut for Andrew Bentley and he scored a knockdown en route to a four round unanimous decision over Jose Rivera
