NORTH AMERICAN ALLLIED FIGHT SERIES RETAINS CROSSFIRE MEDIA GROUP TO HANDLE PR

 
Big June 2nd card serves as inaugural event for agreement

San Jose, California (USA): Rising Midwest fight promotion North American Allied Fight Series (NAAFS) and sports PR firm Crossfire Media Group (CMG) have agreed to terms on a pact, it was revealed today. Through this agreement, CMG will facilitate media for NAAFS starting with its highly-anticipated June 2nd event, “Fight Nite at the Flats VIII.” This exciting event is expected to feature UFC and Bellator veterans, will be showcased on GoFightLive.com, and is already generating tremendous buzz amongst Midwest fight fans.

“The NAAFS is poised to take some big steps in 2012, and I am confident that bringing on a publicist like Phil Lanides is part of that,” said NAAFS CEO Greg Kalikas. “June 2nd will be an important milestone for the promotion, and CMG is going to help make sure its impact is as large as possible.”

APEX SPORTS AGENCY AND CROSSFIRE MEDIA GROUP COME TO TERMS ON PUBLIC RELATIONS AGREEMENT

CMG to handle media relations duties for ASA stable of fighters

San Jose, California (USA): It was announced today that top athlete management company Apex Sports Agency (ASA) has agreed to a pact with sports PR firm Crossfire Media Group (CMG). As a result of the agreement, CMG Owner/Publicist Phil Lanides will facilitate media requests for ASA CEO Jason Chambers and the burgeoning stable of ASA fighters going forward.

SEAN “THE DESTROYER” LOEFFLER JOINS THE CROSSFIRE MEDIA GROUP FAMILY

CMG to handle Loeffler’s media opportunities



San Jose, CA (USA): It was announced today that UFC middleweight fighter Sean “The Destroyer” Loeffler has reached an agreement with Crossfire Media Group (CMG) to be represented in media matters by Phil Lanides, CMG Owner/Publicist.



CMG will provide PR and media relations services for Loeffler, and in the process help continue to build his brand. CMG will now handle all media requests for “The Destroyer.”



“I’m excited to work with a fighter the caliber of Sean,” stated Lanides. “He is colorful and quote-worthy, but most importantly, he brings it inside the Octagon. Once he heals up, he’s going to be a force to be reckoned with in the UFC.”



“I definitely understand how important it is to get your name out there and become recognizable, and I know that CMG is already helping me do that,” said Loeffler. “I expect that me working with Phil is going to help me get positioned to become the biggest I can possibly be.”



Ironically, one of the most buzzed about fighters in the UFC right now is one that hasn’t event made his Octagon debut. “The Destroyer” was scheduled to make his UFC debut at “UFC on Fuel 1: Ellenberger vs. Sanchez” on February 15th against Buddy Roberts. Unfortunately, Loeffler suffered an ankle injury while warming up and had to be pulled from the fight. This past week, he underwent successful ankle surgery, and hopes to be back in the cage in about six months.



With a record of 25-5 with 24 finishes, Loeffler has cultivated a reputation as one of the most excited fighters in the 185-pound division. He has won twelve of his last thirteen fights, finishing every one of his victims. Now on the mend, “The Destroyer” is also garnering a lot of attention for his entertaining interviews, complete with hilarious stories of his amazing life. In short, he is the complete package.

CROSSFIRE MEDIA GROUP AND MAURO RANALLO

CMG to handle media relations duties for Ranallo

San Jose, California (USA): Crossfire Media Group (CMG) Owner/Publicist Phil Lanides announced today that his company has reached an agreement to represent renowned mixed martial arts commentator Mauro Ranallo as his public relations representative. Ranallo was the play-by-play broadcaster for Pride Fighting Championships and EliteXC, and currently works in the same role for Showtime’s Strikeforce programming.

CMG will provide PR and media relations services for Ranallo in order to expand his presence within the mainstream and combat sports worlds, while also developing media strategies to further his brand.

“Mauro possesses one of the most recognizable voices in MMA today, and it’s an honor to work with him,” stated Lanides. “From Pride to EliteXC to Strikeforce, Mauro’s voice is synonymous with many of the signature calls in MMA history. Mauro Ranallo was born in Abbotsford, British Columbia on December 21st, 1969. The son of Italian immigrants, Ranallo grew up a huge pro wrestling fan. He played various sports, but always found himself being drawn to the role of an announcer. At the tender age of 16, he was offered the role of color commentator/“bad guy” manager with All-Star Wrestling, a nationally-televised show throughout Canada.

After a successful stint with the company, Ranallo utilized his distinct voice and energetic delivery to move into the mainstream sports world. After working for the Fraser Valley Radio Network, he bounced back and forth between wrestling and combat sports. In 2003, Ranallo received the opportunity of a lifetime when MMA legend and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Bas Rutten, who he had met in 2001 on the set of a movie, called the young broadcaster and offered him the position of play-by-play commentator for Pride Fighting Championships.

During his three year stint with the company, Ranallo called some of the biggest fights in MMA history. Ranallo left Pride FC shortly before the promotion was purchased by Zuffa. Ranallo then joined the fledgling Fight Network, the first 24-hour combat sports channel in North America. He also signed with Showtime Sports to serves a as the play-by-play man for its MMA telecasts, which led to him landing the same role for the first mixed martial arts cards on CBS. In addition to his commentating duties, he also currently hosts “The MMA Show with Mauro Ranallo,” Canada's first and most comprehensive weekly television program dedicated to MMA, and a daily podcast featuring the biggest names in MMA as his guests.
