Two UBF Championships to be Contested for in One Sensational Night

On Saturday, December 15, 2012, at the Sosua Bay Grand Casino in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, two Universal Boxing Federation (UBF) championships will be at stake.

Undefeated super featherweight Marlin "Maravilla" Cabrera (14-0, 7 KOs) of Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, will take on the always dangerous Geyci Lorenzo (11-5, 2 KOs) of San Cristobal, Dominican Republic, for the inaugural UBF Inter-Continental Super Featherweight title.

And serving as the co-main event that night, hard-hitting Amanda "The Real Deal" Serrano (15-1-1, 10 KOs) of Brooklyn, New York, will be squaring off against Lina Milagros Tejada of the Dominican Republic for the inaugural UBF Inter-Continental female super featherweight title.

"The UBF is very proud to be part of such an exciting event and we are proud to sanction the main event and co-main events. Boxing in the Dominican Republic is on an upswing with the recent world championship victory of Javier Fortuna and this show will feature several other rising stars from this great country," said UBF Vice President Richard Spilotro.

  1. I usually do not like new sanctioning bodies but I like what the UBF is doing in and outside of the ring. I like the fact they donate to charities with the sanction fees they collect.
