Legends of Cage Warriors: Rosi Sexton

London, England (July 4, 2014) - Cage Warriors Fighting Championship has launched a new series of programmes which will document some of the organisation’s extensive and decorated twelve-year history.

CWFC has been home to some of the biggest names in MMA over the years, including Michael Bisping, Dan Hardy, Conor McGregor and - the subject of the first instalment of ‘Legends of Cage Warriors’ - Rosi Sexton.

Legends of Cage Warriors will feature some of the biggest stars to have competed for Europe’s leading MMA organisation over the years, and there’s no better place to start than with one of women’s MMA’s true icons.

Having featured on the very first CWFC event back in July 2002, Sexton’s name has become synonymous with Cage Warriors Fighting Championship, with the Manchester native competing for the organisation on seven occasions, accumulating a 6-1 record.

A former Cage Warriors champion, Sexton, 36, has also competed for other top international promotions such as the UFC and Bellator, with her most notable CWFC wins coming against Aisling Daly, Roxanne Modafferi and Dina Van den Hooven.

Produced by Demetrio Marquez for Cage Warriors Fighting Championship, this inaugural episode of Legends of Cage Warriors charts the career of one of the pioneers of women’s MMA. Check it out in full HERE.
