AUSTRALIA STAR WILL TOMLINSON TO OPEN UP THE FOX SPORTS 1 AND FOX DEPORTES LIVE TELECAST FROM DEL MAR FAIRGROUNDS

LOS ANGELES (December 2, 2014) - Southern California boxing fans will be in for a full night of boxing action at the Del Mar Fairgrounds - Bing Crosby Hall on Thursday, December 4, as FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes' Golden Boy Live! delivers another stacked card headlined by local favorites and top prospects.

In the televised main event, Fairfield standout Alan Sanchez (14-3-1, 8 KOs) battles veteran contender Ed "The Lion" Parades (35-4-1, 23 KOs)in a 10-round welterweight standoff. The co-feature will see popular local star Manuel "Tino" Avila (16-0, 7 KOs) in a junior featherweight matchup against Jose Luis "Tapitas" Araiza (34-9-1, 25 KOs) in a 10-round brawl.

Just added to the card in the TV opener is Australian lightweight standout "Wild" Will Tomlinson (22-1-1, 12 KOs), who will face Miguel Zamudio (29-5-1, 17 KOs) in an eight-round contest.

Tickets priced at $75, $60, $45 and $29 plus applicable taxes and service charges are on sale now at all Ticketmaster locations, the Del Mar Fair Grounds Box Office by calling (858) 792-4252 or online at www.ticketmaster.com or www.pacopresentsboxing.com.

Fighting out of Melbourne, Australia, 28-year-old "Wild" Will Tomlinson (22-1-1, 12 KOs) won several regional titles down under and was racing toward a world title shot before an upset loss to Jerry Belmontes in March. Tomlinson wasn't deterred from his path though and in August he bounced back with a victory over Alberto Cupido that put him on the road to the top once more.

Sparks will fly in a middleweight swing bout scheduled for six rounds when Merida, Mexico's Elias "Latin Kid" Espadas (6-1, 3 KOs) faces off against San Juan, Puerto Rico's Carlos "Macho" Lopez (5-1-1, 3 KOs) in a clash of hungry prospects.

The San Diego boxing community will be well represented on December 4, led by light heavyweight Ulises Sierra (7-0-2, 5 KOs), a hard-hitting 25-year-old who will risk his unbeaten record in a four-round rematch against fellow San Diegan Loren Myers (9-19-1, 2 KOs). The two met in February, but the bout met an abbreviated end due to an injury suffered by Myers, but it is back on and both fighters are ready to showcase their skills in front of a hometown crowd.

Another showdown for San Diego bragging rights will see Bryan Nevarez (1-0) meet Mario Angeles (1-5-2) in a four-round welterweight bout.

National City's Adrian Bargas (10-0-1, 7 KOs) has impressed thus far as a professional and on December 4 he will look to keep the positive momentum going in a six-round junior welterweight matchup against seasoned Mexican veteran Yair Aguilar (11-21-1, 4 KOs).

Also taking place in the junior welterweight division is a six-round showdown between Oceanside's Jonathan Quiroz (5-2, 1 KO) and Oxnard's Daniel Covielles (3-1, 1 KO). Kicking off the evening will be a four-round junior featherweight opener featuring San Diego's own Jorge Ruiz (6-2, 2 KOs) against on Los Angeles' Raymond Chacon (5-11).

ALAN SANCHEZ WILL FACE OFF AGAINST ED PAREDES IN DEL MAR, CALIF. ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 4 LIVE ON FOX SPORTS 1 & FOX DEPORTES

GOLDEN BOY LIVE! EVENT TO INCLUDE CO-FEATURE BOUT BETWEEN MANUEL "TINO" AVILA AND JOSE LUIS ARAIZA

LOCAL TALENT TO ROUND OUT STACKED CARD

LOS ANGELES (November 14, 2014) - Fairfield standout Alan Sanchez will have his hands full with veteran contender Ed "The Lion" Parades when the two square off in a 10-round welterweight bout on Thursday, December 4 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds - Bing Crosby Hall and live on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes' Golden Boy Live!.

In the 10-round junior featherweight co-main event, Sanchez' fellow Fairfield contender Manuel "Tino" Avila will be facing Jose Luis Araiza.

Also in action will be San Diego prospects Ulises Sierra (7-0, 2 KOs), Jorge Ruiz (6-2, 2 KOs) and Bryan Nevarez (1-0). National City native Adrian Bargas (11-0-1, 7 KOs) and Jonathan Quiroz (5-2, 1 KO) from Oceanside round out the local quintet of talented up-and-comers who own a combined 30-4-1 professional record as they enter their December bouts.

"December fourth will be a great night of boxing in Del Mar with a main event featuring two skilled fighters - Sanchez and Parades - who both have a lot on the line," said Oscar De La Hoya, Founder and President of Golden Boy Promotions. "In the co-main event, Tino Avila stands at an exciting point in his career -- when each successive victory could bring him closer and closer to a potential title shot. But with each step comes more dangerous challenges for him and by going up against a seasoned opponent who has stood in the ring and ably competed with the very best, Tino will need to dig deep to keep marching ahead."

Winner of nine of his last 10 bouts, with his only loss in that stretch coming via decision to former world champion Luis Collazo in 2013, 23-year-old Alan Sanchez (14-3-1, 8 KOs) has been thrilling fans for years. Fresh off of back-to-back knockouts of Jorge Silva and Jose Luis Ramirez Jr. in 2014, Sanchez can make a statement with a third straight knockout victory when he faces Paredes.

Fighting out of Hollywood, FL, Ed Paredes (35-4-1, 23 KOs) has the power and experience to make it a rough night for anyone he steps into the ring with. Unbeaten in 15 of his last 16 bouts, the 29-year-old veteran believes that the best is yet to come for him; all he needs to do is show the world by beating Sanchez in a highly-anticipated matchup.

Steadily moving toward the top 10 at 122 pounds, top prospect Manuel Avila (16-0, 7 KOs) has picked up the pace in 2014, defeating Enrique Quevedo, David De La Mora and Sergio Frias this year. Now hoping to close out the year with another big win that will carry him into a 2015 campaign that he expects will lead him to a world title shot, the 22-year-old has the motivation to put on a career-best performance on December 4.

Winner of two of his last three bouts, veteran pugilist Jose Luis Araiza (31-9-1, 22 KOs) hopes to recover from a loss in September to Rau'shee Warren when he faces Avila in December. The former top prospect will enter the ring at Del Mar Fairgrounds - Bing Crosby Hall hoping to hand Avila his first professional loss.

A 23-year-old with a bright future in boxing, Fairfield's Alan Sanchez (12-3-1, 6 KOs) has come a long way in just 16 fights, defeating top level foes like Manuel Leyva and Artemio Reyes.  Even though he lost his most recent bout in September in San Antonio via decision to WBA International Welterweight Champion Luis Collazo, he learned several valuable lessons that he will apply against Silva.

Jorge "Pantera" Silva (19-5-2, 15 KOs) of Tijuana is not lacking in experience, as he has been facing anyone and everyone since turning pro in 2008, including Alfredo "El Perro" Angulo and Yoshihiro Kamegai.  At 22-years-old, he hopes to get back on the winning track against Sanchez and will be pulling out all of the stops in search of victory.

Coming off of a successful Texas homecoming in February that saw him knock out Peter Oluoch in four rounds, Desoto's Errol Spence Jr. (11-0, 9 KOs) is back in the Lone Star State on April 18 and he's in search of another crowd-pleasing victory.  Then again, that's what the 24-year-old southpaw has been doing consistently since he made his professional debut in November of 2012.

The fighting pride of San Antonio, Raul "The Cobra" Martinez (30-3, 18 KOs) has always represented his city well and he is in route to becoming one of the top lightweight fighters in the world.  Still looking for his first shot to a world title, Martinez has won two of his last three bouts and should he be victorious on April 18, his chances are looking stronger than ever.  Brownsville'sSergio Perales (21-1, 15 KOs) is no one's stepping stone and after going 3-1 in his last four bouts, including an 83 second stoppage of former world title challenger Lorenzo Trejo last December, his confidence is sky high heading into his bout with Martinez.

A protégé of women's boxing legend Ann Wolfe, Austin junior welterweight Travell "Black Magic" Mazion (7-0, 6 KOs) is already seen as having the tools to become a world champion in the future and he's only 18-years-old.  A blistering puncher with speed for days, Mazion has won his last two fights in San Antonio and he's happy to be back again on April 18.

Signed to Golden Boy Promotions and Leija*Battah Promotions, 21-year-old Joseph "The Texas Mongoose" Rodriguez Jr. (5-0, 2 KOs) is coming off of a big 2013 campaign in which he won four consecutive fights without a loss, including three victories in his hometown of San Antonio.  On April 18, he will be back at home to face off with Bay City, Texas' Francisco Arellano.

One of Texas' top young boxers, Ryan "Cowboy" Karl won several championships during his amateur days, but now he's ready to test the professional waters.  On April 18, the Houston native will make his debut in his home state in a four-round welterweight bout against an opponent to be named.
