Takedown Wrestling Media presented by 04 Water/Blue 04 “The Evolution in Hydration”  (www.takedownradio.com) announced that they’ve reached an expanded distribution agreement with Time Warner SportsChannel (www.twcs.tv).  Under the terms of the agreement Time Warner SportsChannel will expand distribution of Takedown Wrestling and USA Wrestling Weekly to promote and grow the sport of wrestling on Ch. 323 in New York City, the Hudson Valley and both North and South Carolina.

 

The distribution agreement between Takedown Wrestling Media and Time Warner SportsChannel is both important and strategic. Effective immediately both USA Wrestling Weekly and Takedown Wrestling Weekly News Programs will be available to the expanded audience. These additions increase the total number of homes receiving the wrestling news programs to 55 million homes first run 52 weeks per year.

The distribution agreement between Takedown Wrestling Media and Time Warner SportsChannel continues  and grows the original 2 year old distribution between the two companies. Time Warner SportsChannel and Takedown Wrestling Media will add additional markets in the coming months. The agreement is part of Takedown Wrestling Media’s strategy to create a network of news outlets covering, promoting and growing all disciplines of the growing sport.

John Nicholson Leaves ODU, Heads to Ames and the Cyclones, Talks to Takedown

Former Des Moines Roosevelt standout John Nicholson was on track from a state championship in Iowa to becoming a National Champion for Old Dominion. Last year, mid year something changed. The 2012 NCAA qualifier knew something was wrong and that it would take a change of scenery for him to be able to complete his journey.

 

He turned west and looked back home, to central Iowa and Ames,  the home of the Cyclones of Iowa State.  ISU Assistant Coach Troy Nickerson took the call and within days had worked out a deal that would allow the soon to be senior an opportunity to right his ship and do it where he felt best.  

 

The ability to question, to make decisions right or wrong, to make changes. A young man's perogative or just the right thing to do.

Takedown Wrestling Media and Stryker-Indigo New York Announce Partnering Agreement

Sept. 6, 2012 - Des Moines, IA/ New York City  - Takedown Wrestling Media (www.takedownradio.com) announced today that they have reached a content-sharing and media partnering agreement with Stryker-Indigo New York (www.strykerindigo.com) and its Boxscore World Sportswire division (www.boxscorenews.com).  Under the terms of the agreement, both corporations will work together to develop expanded international news and information operations in an effort to promote and grow the sport of wrestling.

The partnering move by Takedown Wrestling Media and Stryker-Indigo is both important and strategic. It will allow both companies to work together to promote the sport at all levels and to disseminate wrestling news globally to fans as well as the general public.

"All of us at Takedown Wrestling Media are pleased to partner with Stryker-Indigo and Boxscore to keep sports and wrestling fans around the world informed of all the news from the world of wrestling. College and International styles alike will benefit from the wide and growing platforms of Stryker-Indigo and Boxscore," said Scott Casber Founder of Takedown Wrestling Media.

Casber's views were mirrored by Stryker-Indigo President, George Fosty, who said, "We believe that the time is right to expand our wrestling news and network platforms. As part of the agreement, Takedown's Hall of Fame Headlines Show operations would be promoted through the Sonahr Sports History platforms (www.sonahrsports.com) creating additional outlets and news and information structures for wrestling fans. According to Fosty, "SONAHR is a global network of sports historians and writers affiliated with Boxscore. They are an invaluable part of Stryker-Indigo's efforts to promote sports at the international level.  By having the history and heritage of wrestling promoted via SONAHR we will be able to work with Takedown Wrestling to highlight wrestling's legacy and to educate future generations on the sport's glorious past." 

The National and International products produced by Takedown Wrestling Media include: Takedown Wrestling Radio, Takedown Wrestling TV, USA Wrestling Weekly and the Hall of Fame Headlines Show. These programs along with 100's of yearly stand alone audio interviews will be featured on a number of Boxscore World Sportswire and affiliated platforms.  At present, there are more than thirty websites and online sports platforms operated by, or affiliated with,  Stryker-Indigo New York and its Boxscore World Sportswire division.

The partnering agreement between Takedown Wrestling Media and Stryker-Indigo is the eighth major media partnering agreement between Stryker-Indigo New York and an international online sports media company in recent months. The agreement is part of a global strategy by Stryker-Indigo to create a worldwide network of independent online sporting news outlets designed to compete against larger media companies and sporting platforms. Judo Star Kayla Harrison is on Track for Olympic Gold!

July 2nd Kayla Harrison celebrated her 22nd birthday. She's one of the most talented Judo players in the world and everyone wants a piece of this fair haired Boston beauty. 

 

Informed writer for Fox Sports Reid Forgrave has worked for some of the top publications in the country and in May he did an incredible story on her past that she struggles to hide. (see below for a link to Reids story)

 

Today Kayla shares her time with radio, tv and magazine interviews, She travels, competes and trains and inspires the next generation all out of the famed Pedro's Judo Center in Boston. She never skips the respectful bow when she approaches the white line. It's the Pedro family and its Judo that saved the best of Kayla Harrison for the rest of the world.

 

Harrison will be competing in London in 24 days. She's Looking to regain that number 1 status she had 1 year ago.  She works hard every chance she can wanting to prove to someone, anyone that she's worth while.  Harrison is as patriotriotic as anyone on the team she'll be competing with and perhaps even more so. In London she'll walk on to the grandest stage in Judo to represent the USA! She is Kayla Harrison 2012 Olympian, American!
