LAS VEGAS
 (August 19, 2014) - Mayweather Promotions, The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation and the rising stars fighting under the Mayweather Promotions banner held a "Back To School Giveaway"on Saturday, giving away hundreds of school supplies for children in the Las Vegas area as the summer comes to a close and families prepare for the school season.

The event, held at the Mayweather Boxing Club, was hosted by several fighters, Mayweather Promotions staff and volunteers who gave away 500 backpacks filled with grade appropriate school supplies. They also raffled off other supplies including five laptops, plus a donation of five desktop computers to the Clark County School District's after school program.

Boxers in attendance included former world champion Ishe Smith and lightweight contender Mickey Bey, who fights Miguel Vazquez for his IBF Lightweight World Title on the undercard of "MAYHEM: Mayweather vs. Maidana 2."

Also in attendance were J'Leon Love, Badou Jack, Ladarius Miller, Andrew Tabiti, Ashley Theophane,Lanell Bellows and Luis Arias, all of whom will be fighting on August 30 in Las Vegas at the Pearl at the Palms Resort and Casino.

"We relish this opportunity to give back to children and families in the Las Vegas community," said Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions. "This is our community and putting on these kind of events is what Mayweather Promotions is all about."

"I'm really blessed to be in a position to help these kids. It's great that Mayweather Promotions is a company that stays so dedicated to improving the community," said the undefeated super middleweight contender Love.

Children were also treated to fighter autographs, a live-DJ and free haircuts amongst other prizes and entertainment.

THE FLOYD MAYWEATHER JR FOUNDATION ALONG WITH MAYWEATHER PROMOTIONS RISING STARS HOSTS BACK TO SCHOOL GIVEAWAY FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED FAMILIES



Las Vegas (August 7, 2013) - The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation (TFMJF) and Mayweather PromotionsRising Stars lend a helping hand to local children in need of school supplies. This will be one of several community outreach initiatives the fighters will be participating in throughout the year. The Back to School Giveaway is set to take place on Saturday August 17th at the famous Mayweather Boxing Club from 11am-3pm.

Along with assisting families who may be having a hard time obtaining the necessary school supplies for their children, the Back 2 School Giveaway will incorporate TFMJF's Fight4Your Education Initiative. This initiative encourages youth development and focuses on strengthening the basis of education through literary and financial scholastic based workshops, writing workshops, and book/supply drives to ensure the tools to be successful are available. Character development and life skills education that highlights factors such as honesty, responsibility, time management, self-awareness, good health, and communication are also encouraged through this initiative. With Nevada's primary schools being ranked 47th in the nation, The Floyd Mayweather Jr Foundation will continue to encourage and promote its principle of putting education first.

Event To Take Place Thursday, May 3 at MGM Grand In Las Vegas


Las Vegas (April 30)... The Floyd Mayweather Jr. Foundation (TFMJF) and Sugar Shane Mosley's Diamond's Love Foundation are proud to present "Spring of Style," a unique fundraising event in conjunction with the "Ring Kings: Mayweather vs. Cotto" mega-fight."Spring of Style" will take place this Thursday, May 3 at 7:00 p.m. PT at the Talent Pool at MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nev., just two days before the biggest fight of 2012. The benefit will support the charitable work of both Mayweather and Mosley and the two future Hall of Famers' respective organizations and a local Las Vegas based charity.

"Spring of Style" will be a high-profile event offering a branded fashion preview along with entertainment. Ticket go on sale online tomorrow, Wednesday, April 18 and are priced at $35.00 (includes entry & hors d'oevres service) and $60.00 (includes entry, hors d'overes service, souvenir program book & open bar). Entertainment includes a live performance by MarshaAmbrosius and DJ Clue will provide the soundtrack for the evening.

Tickets are available online at www.tfmjf.org. Event sponsors include Mayweather Promotions, Philthy Rich Records, Regal Management and Mr. & Ms. "T-shirt Lifestyle Brand."

"Shane and I are both fighting for our careers in the ring, but we are blessed to be in a position to help those less fortunate and support causes outside the ring too. Founded by the Mosley Family in 2010, Diamonds Love Foundation was formed to honor Diamond J. Johnson, Mosley's nephew. The organization is focused on implementing a child car seat safety program, establishing programs that assist single fathers raising their children, hold youth summer boxing camps nationwide and establish centers for at risk children.

"I am thrilled to be a part of this fight and have the opportunity to work with Floyd outside of the ring to support our charities," said Mosley. "We both feel strongly about helping at-risk youth so the two of us coming together to better the community is a great opportunity."

This is not the first time FMJF has held a benefit during a fight week as in 2010, FMJF held a charity auction and ball prior to Mayweather's fight against Mosley. This is the first time that he has united with another fighter's organization to benefit several worthy causes in one evening.

"Everyone who is in town that weekend can buy a ticket to attend the event," said Mayweather. "Working together works and through the support of each and every one of us, something really positive can happen."
