DOMINIC "TROUBLE" BREAZEALE RETURNS TO THE RING ON UNDER CARD OF ESPN2 BOXING SPECIAL

Upland, California (December 10, 2014)  - Top U. S. Heavyweight prospect, Dominic "Trouble" Breazeale (12-0, 11 KO's) returns to action tomorrow evening in an eight-round bout versus heavy-handed Epifanio "Diamante" Mendoza (40-19, 34 KO's) of Columbia.  Breazeale, who is coming off a second round knock-out of his opponent this past August, is ready to get back in the ring and prove why he continues to be a promising young contender.

Just two years after participating in the 2012 Olympic Games, Breazeale has gained attention in the heavyweight division by easily dismantling eleven of the twelve opponents he has faced in four rounds or less.  Breazeale's early

success is due not only to his amazing athletic ability and great work ethic, but also to a great team.  Breazeale is advised by the highly recognized Al Haymon, and trained by world-renowned trainer, John Bray.

For the past couple of months, Breazeale has trained diligently at Cross Roads Boxing Gym while awaiting details on his next bout.  The uncertainty of not knowing when a fighter's next bout will be can take a toll on a boxer in training camp, but Breazeale handled it with the skill and finesse of a seasoned veteran.

When asked about his return to the ring, Breazeale, humbly stated, "it's always a good feeling getting back into the ring.  The time between bouts was a little longer than I would  have liked, but I made the best of it.  I had plenty of great sparring and I continue to learn every day in the gym with my trainer, John Bray.  I am definitely ready."

Bray is also ecstatic about Breazeale's return as they have worked together daily in the gym on new techniques and is expecting his pupil to effectively demonstrate them.  He believes that this upcoming bout is exactly the kind of fight that Breazeale needs as he works toward becoming the heavyweight champion of the world.  "Epifanio Mendoza is a seasoned professional who can fight and Dominic is prepared for the challenge.  Training camp has gone well; however, keeping sparring partners has been difficult.  With that said, I believe Dominic Breazeale has the goods to be the heavyweight champion of the world and bring interest back to the heavyweight division", said Bray.

The 2012 U.S. Olympian resides just forty-five minutes north of Temecula and you can believe there will be plenty of family, friends, and supporters at this bout; you can't miss them as they always arrive ready for the rumble dawning "Here Comes Trouble" t-shirts.  Staying humble and true to him self, Breazeale is always appreciative of his fans and grateful for the opportunity to fight for them in a venue so close to home.

"They motivate me, and I can guarantee that they will definitely get their money's worth."

DOMINIC "TROUBLE" BREAZEALE RETURNS TO THE RING THIS WEEKEND

Upland, California (August 13, 2014)  - The sweet science returns to what most consider to be the of mecca of boxing in Southern California.  The StubHub Center in Carson, California will again host a Showtime Championship Boxing card that is sure to entertain fight fans all over, and "Trouble" will be in the building.

Dominic "Trouble" Breazeale (11-0, 10 KO's) returns to the ring this Saturday in an 8 round bout against veteran heavyweight Billy "The Kid" Zumbrun (27-13, 16 KO's).  Breazeale, who is coming off a win against U.S. Olympian Devin Vargas has been showing that he is a heavyweight prospect thus far in his young career.  The 2012 U.S. Olympian is pleased with his

career so far but has his sights set on the ultimate prize, the heavyweight championship of the world.

When asked about his bout this weekend, Breazeale said; "I'm looking forward to fighting at the StubHub Center again.  Training camp has been great with my trainer John Bray.  This will be the second time I've fought at this venue in the last two months and my last bout with Vargas didn't end the way I wanted it to.  Billy is a tough veteran and I respect anyone that steps in the ring, however, I'm fighting in of front of my hometown fans and I'm looking forward to making a statement."

His trainer John Bray added the following; "at this stage of Dominic's career, fighting a veteran of 40 fights in Billy Zumbrun is exactly what he needs.  It is not whether Dominic is going to win or lose in my mind, it is in what manner does he win and what does he gain from it.  It's about growth and preparation leading to the heavyweight championship of the world."

Breazeale who is advised by Al Haymon, is on the fast track to the world heavyweight title and currently the division is wide open.  At the age of 28, Breazeale is relatively young in boxing standards, taking up the sport in 2008 and then qualifying for the U.S. Olympic boxing team in just three years.  At 6'7", 250 pounds, Breazeale's body and toughness is made for professional fighting versus the amateur style and Breazeale has shown that, imposing his style and will on all of his opponents.

In closing, Breazeale said the following: "The StubHub Center is a great venue to fight in and I'm looking forward to fighting in front of my hometown fans and giving them a show.  I'm sure there will be a sea of Trouble shirts and I appreciate all of their support.  I want to thank my adviser Al Haymon, Oscar De La Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions for the opportunities that I have been given and I will make the most of them.

DOMINIC "TROUBLE" BREAZEALE HAS HIS SIGHTS SET ON THE TOP OF THE HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION

Flag

Press ReleaseFor Immediate Release
Upland, California (July 30, 2014)  - As boxing aficionados and experts are aware of the current status of the heavyweight division, there is one heavyweight that is ready to take this division by storm.  Dominic "Trouble" Breazeale (11-0, 10 KO's) is considered by most to be a top heavyweight prospect who has all the ability and athletic skills to become a world champion.  At 6'7", 250 pounds, Breazeale has imposed his will on ten of his first eleven opponents, stopping them in four rounds or less.

The exception, tough veteran Nagy Aguilera (19-8, 13 KO's) was dominated by Breazeale for eight rounds which resulted in a unanimous decision in a bout that most thought should have been stopped in the third round. Nevertheless, the 2012 U.S. Olympian has made quite the name for himself taking on tough opposition early in his career.  In Breazeale's last performance, he breezed through former heavyweight prospect and 2004 Olympian Devin Vargas.  Vargas was simply no match for Breazeale who turned around and quit after complaining of illegal head shots for three rounds.

So what is next for Breazeale? Taking a break from training camp at the Glendale Fighting Club in Glendale, California; Breazeale was asked about his career so far, his next bout and his thoughts on the heavyweight division. "First and foremost, I've been blessed to be where I am right now in life and in the sport of boxing.  I have a wonderful family and a wife that supports me unconditionally.  My fans are awesome and they come to see me in Southern California and Las Vegas. The crowd is always supportive and filled with Trouble shirts.  I want to thank my team, my adviser Al Haymon, Oscar De la Hoya and Golden Boy Promotions who have provided me with the opportunities that most fighters would dream of and I am going to take advantage of them to the fullest."

"I have had 11 bouts so far in my early career and I have faced tough opposition in a few of them.  I am learning with each bout that comes.  My trainer John Bray is preparing me well and I understand that all opposition from here on out isn't going to be a walk in the park.  With that said, I am training for my upcoming bout and I will be ready for it", said Breazeale.

"As of this moment, I am tentatively scheduled to fight in September in Las Vegas. I can ensure all the boxing fans that I will be ready.  I believe that this division is wide open and I want to let the heavyweight division know to be ready: Here Comes Trouble!"

WILL NOW BE FACING KEITH BARR DUE TO NAGY AGUILERA WITHDRAWING
 UNEXPECTEDLY FROM A BACK INJURY

Press ReleaseFor Immediate Release
Sunrise, Florida (November 26, 2013)  - In the telecast that has been dubbed "Heavyweights Collide" on Golden Boy Live, unbeaten heavyweight prospect Dominic "Trouble" Breazeale (7-0, 7 KO's) will be returning to the ring tonight in a six round bout which was scheduled to be featured live on Fox Sports 1. Breazeale's return to the ring was anticipated by many boxing insiders and

fans of the heavyweight division as he was scheduled to face his toughest opponent to date in journeyman Nagy Aguilera.   Unfortunately, Aguilera pulled out of the fight unexpectedly due to a back injury on Sunday and Breazeale will now be facing Keith Barr (11-4, 3 KO's) of West Virginia.

Breazeale is disappointed due to the turn of events as he trained diligently for Aguilera. However, he is definitely up to the task of taking care of business either way.  Since he turned professional a year ago, the 2012 U.S. Super Heavyweight Olympian has stopped all of his opponents by way of knockout in four rounds or less and expects to continue his winning ways in the same fashion tonight.
When asked about the events leading up to tonight's bout, Breazeale indicated the following; "Well you know, it's boxing and it's part of the business.  It's an unfortunate situation but I will make the best of it.  These types of things happen.  I trained hard for Aguilera and now will have to adapt to Barr. It's what's expected at this level."

Breazeale's trainer, John Bray, was also a bit disappointed but stated that, "Dominic Breazeale was more than prepared to not only face but beat Nagy in an impressive fashion.  Fortunately, we have been in the gym sparring and working against a lot of different styles.  His last two bouts were against southpaws so when Keith Barr accepted the challenge, we were more than ready and willing to face another south paw."

Nevertheless, with Dominic Breazeale, there is always an upside to every situation and he's excited that he will be fighting on a card that is stacked by heavyweight's and it's is more exposure for him as he is fighting in Florida.

"Regardless of who I am facing, I'm definitely excited to be a part of this event.  It has been two months since my last bout and I am very thankful for this opportunity.  I expect to give the fans what they want.  Look out Florida, because here comes Trouble!"

A year ago, Breazeale represented the United States of America in the 2012 London Olympic Games participating in the Super Heavyweight division.  Since that time, Breazeale couldn't have asked for a better start to his professional career.  Following his televised ShoBox pro debut in November, Breazeale has continued to make quick work of his opponents ending of all his bouts in two rounds or less.

Under the tutelage of world renowned boxing trainer John Bray, Breazeale is continuing to improve and is adjusting very well to the professional ranks.  So well, that it has caught the eyes and attention of respected veteran trainers and heavyweights alike.

This past April,
WBA World Heavyweight Champion Alexander Povetkin invited Breazeale and Bray to Russia to spar with the champ in preparation for his world title bout.  Dominic made a great impression sparring up to ten rounds with the champ.  It was a great experience for him and he was appreciative of the opportunity.

So far, 2013 has been a great year for Breazeale as he had the opportunity to fight on high profile undercards and in his last outing, he experienced what it was like to fight on Cinco De Mayo weekend in Las Vegas.  Now, the hard-hitting Breazeale will be featured in his first co-main event with two of his Olympic teammates, battling it out in front of our nation's finest.

He's exciting for the opportunity and is looking forward to putting on a great show.  "I want to thank the city of Fayetteville for welcoming me to their town and tonight is definitely going to be an explosion.  It's always great to be showcased in an event like this one, where I am back with my Olympic brothers.  Tonight is going to be a great night."

Breazeale is looking to make quick work of his opponent tonight as he has something very special to get back to in California.  Dominic and his wife Christina were recently blessed with their third baby boy a couple of weeks ago.

It is going to be a great experience for Dominic "Trouble" Breazeale and he feels humbled just for the opportunities he has been given.  He is looking forward to putting on a great show in an effort to give back to the men and women in our Armed Forces who put their lives on the line everyday.

Los Angeles, California (October 25, 2012) - It was just over 4 years ago that Dominic Breazeale was pursuing his dreams of playing in the NFL and leading his team to a championship.  After going undrafted, Breazeale made the tough decision to swap his helmet and pads for head gear and leather gloves.  It was a good decision for the star quarterback from the University of Northern Colorado as he moved back to California and started training as an amateur boxer with hopes of reaching the 2012 London Olympic Games.
USA Boxing
After a standout amateur career in which he captured the 2011 California Golden Gloves title, won the 2012 USA Boxing National Championships and placed 2nd in the Americas qualifier, Dominic reached his dream of representing the United States in the Olympic Games.  The United States Super Heavyweight showed heart and determination in his lone bout and came up short of a medal at the games.
