Press ReleaseFor Immediate Release
San Diego, California (October 16, 2013) - The John Bray Boxing Foundation in conjunction with the House of Boxing Training Center held the 4th Annual John Bray Free Youth Boxing Clinic this past Saturday in an effort to promote discipline and academic success among school-age students in the communities of Paradise Hills and National City in the San Diego area.

It was a great event as roughly seventy young children and teens between the ages of 8 and 15 attended the free youth boxing clinic.  Only fifty participants were registered, however; due to local news coverage of the event and fliers that were handed out the event attracted much more participants.  All participants of the boxing clinic were able to participate in four fundamental drills which consisted of hitting hand mitts and heavy bags, using defensive techniques and cross fit sessions lasting approximately thirty minutes per individual drill.

During each session, participant's listened to motivational speakers such as former World Junior Middleweight champion Paul Vaden, 2012 U.S. Super Heavyweight Olympian and current Heavyweight prospect Dominic "Trouble" Breazeale, Light Welterweight prospect "The Relentless" Antonio Orozco, 2013 USA Boxing National Champion and Continental Champion Danyelle Wolf and Junior Middleweight prospect David Barragan.

At the conclusion of the free youth boxing clinic, attendees and their parents participated in a free raffle courtesy of the event's sponsors.  Prizes consisted of Everlast gloves signed by all the speakers, Everlast jump ropes and Everlast glove bags.  All parents and supporters were provided key chains courtesy of Everlast Worldwide Inc.  Additionally, plenty of shirts and knitcaps from Bang Time Clothing Company were also raffled off and were provided to many participants in attendance.
