Monroe Jr. of Ithaca, New York has a record of 14-1 with six knockouts. He comes from a great lineage of boxing as his father Willie Monroe Sr. was a Middleweight for 15 years who compiled a record of 24-4 and his great uncle Willie “The Worm” Monroe was one of the great Middleweights of the 1970’s who was 40-10-1.

Monroe Jr. is carving out his own identity as he won his first ten fights with victories over Wilson Montero (1-0-1); Chris Aucoin (1-0-1); Troy Artis (2-0-1); Ibahiem King (7-1).

After suffering a controversial split decision loss to perennial spoiler Darnell Boone, Monroe has won four in a row with his latest win coming via third round stoppage over Toris Smith on September 7^th in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Walker of Chicago, Illinois has a deceptive record of 19-19-3 with 12 knockouts and has fought a “Whose Who” of the Middleweight divisions.

Walker was undefeated in his first twenty bouts by going 18-0-2 and had wins over the likes of Jimmy Gonzalez (2-0); Anthony Shuler (18-3-1); Dave Saunders (9-2); Former U.S. Olympian Dante Craig (17-6-1) as well as a draw with former world title challenger Antwun Echols (31-7-3). Walker later scored a decision win over Echols.

Walker has been in the ring with former world title challengers David Lopez, Daniel Jacobs, Fernando Guerrero, Andy Lee.  Walker also faced former world champion Ricardo Mayorga and undefeated Prospects Matt Korobov, DonYil Livingston, and Lennox Allen.

Walker will be looking to get even as in his last bout, he was stopped in one round by Monroe Jr.

In a six round co-feature, Malcom Terry (6-1, 6 KO’s) will take onAnthony Woods (0-5) in a Welterweight bout.

Undefeated Paul Gutierrez (4-0, 3 KO’s) battles Toris Smith (3-36, 3 KO’s) in a four round Middleweight bout.

KEANDRE LEATHERWOOD RETURNS JAN 19TH AT THE INDIANA STATE FAIRGROUNDS

January 10th, 2013 - Junior middleweight prospect Keandre "Lightning" Leatherwood (12-1-1, 8 KOs) will step back into the ring Saturday January 19th against Chicago native Michael Walker in a scheduled 8 rounder on a card being held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana.  

Leatherwood fights out of Atlanta Georgia, but he was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he helped Olympian and fellow Tuscaloosa born fighter Deontay Wilder in the early stages of his amateur career.  Leatherwood had a standout amateur career in his own right with 120 amateur bouts and appearances in the National Junior Olympics and International Junior Olympics.

Leatherwood has never been passed 6 rounds as he heads into his first scheduled 8 round fight, but after his last victory -- a 6 round unanimous decision over Marcos Primera -- he was insistent on taking the next step in his career.  As a puncher-boxer, Leatherwood lives up to his nickname "Lightning" with some of the quickest hands in the division.  It's not just about the speed in his hands; it's the way he puts his punches together that adds to his game changing quickness.  Leatherwood's quick hands allow him to neutralize his opponent's best attributes and that adds to his ability to adapt in the middle of a fight. He possesses the kind of dynamic style that allows him hit without being hit, but he isn't afraid of mixing it up either. After finishing 2012 on a high note with 3 straight victories Leatherwood is eager to stay busy and tally more victories on his resume with the help of Boxing 360 promoter Mario Yagobi.

June 28, 2012 - Undefeated super-middleweight prospect, Lennox Allen (15-0-1, 9 KOs) returns to the ring on July 14, 2012, and faces rugged veteran, Michael Walker (19-14-3, 12 KOs) in a 6-round bout at Rivers Casino in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Having captured the vacant WBC Caribbean Boxing Federation (CABOFE) super middleweight title against Kwesi Jones (9-2, 5 KOs) in his last bout, Allan will look to shake off the ring rust as it's been over a year since he's last fought.   

"I'm eager to get back in the ring and march toward title contention after being out of the ring for so long," said Lennox. "Michael Walker brings a lot of experience to the ring and he's fought some very good fighters.  This will be a good challenge for me and I've trained very hard to be successful in this fight.  It's been a long layoff but I'm confident in my ability to come out on top.  I'm ready to perform at a high level."
