KEANDRE LEATHERWOOD RETURNS JAN 19TH AT THE INDIANA STATE FAIRGROUNDS

January 10th, 2013 - Junior middleweight prospect Keandre "Lightning" Leatherwood (12-1-1, 8 KOs) will step back into the ring Saturday January 19th against Chicago native Michael Walker in a scheduled 8 rounder on a card being held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis, Indiana.  

Leatherwood fights out of Atlanta Georgia, but he was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama where he helped Olympian and fellow Tuscaloosa born fighter Deontay Wilder in the early stages of his amateur career.  Leatherwood had a standout amateur career in his own right with 120 amateur bouts and appearances in the National Junior Olympics and International Junior Olympics.

Leatherwood has never been passed 6 rounds as he heads into his first scheduled 8 round fight, but after his last victory -- a 6 round unanimous decision over Marcos Primera -- he was insistent on taking the next step in his career.  As a puncher-boxer, Leatherwood lives up to his nickname "Lightning" with some of the quickest hands in the division.  It's not just about the speed in his hands; it's the way he puts his punches together that adds to his game changing quickness.  Leatherwood's quick hands allow him to neutralize his opponent's best attributes and that adds to his ability to adapt in the middle of a fight. He possesses the kind of dynamic style that allows him hit without being hit, but he isn't afraid of mixing it up either. KEANDRE LEATHERWOOD & ALANTEZ FOX VICTORIOUS

December 9, 2012 - Boxing 360 fighters, Keandre Leatherwood (12-1-1, 8 KOs) and Alantez Fox (8-0-1, 4 KOs), scored impressive victories on Saturday.

At the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina light-middleweight prospect, Keandre Leatherwood, battered around Marcus Primera (20-27-2, 13 KOs) for six rounds, hurting the journeyman several times before the final bell rang.  The scorecards read 59-53 across the board all in favor of Leatherwood.

"I wanted to get some good hard rounds in and Primera hung in there." said Leatherwood. "I had him hurt a couple of times and I thought he wasn't going to make to the final bell, but he showed great heart and I give him credit for being a warrior and going the distance.  I'm excited about the plans Boxing 360 has in store for me and I'm looking forward to a great 2013."

At the Convention Center in Washington DC, undefeated light-middleweight standout, Alantez Fox, made quick work of veteran Jimmy LeBlanc (13-23-4, 5 KOs), by way of a first round TKO.  After LeBlanc was stunned, Fox landed a barrage of punches, forcing the referee to stop the bout in the opening round.

"I felt really strong going into this fight and I wanted to make a good first impression fighting for Boxing 360," Fox said. "Once I saw that he was hurt, I jumped on him and took him out of there.  I'm still learning a lot about myself every I step in the ring.  Mario Yagobi said he's going to keep me busy in 2013 and I'm ready to take my career to the next level with Boxing 360."

December 3, 2012 - Light middleweight prospect, Keandre Leatherwood (11-1-1, 8 KOs) will be fighting Marcus Primera (20-26-2, 13 KOs) at Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina on December 8th.  The 6-round bout is contracted at a maximum weight of 159 pounds.  In his last fight, Leatherwood recorded his 8th knockout when he floored Marcus Brooks (7-11, 3 KOs) by way of third round KO. Keandre wants to end the year with a bang and promises to give the fans a great performance when he steps in the ring this Saturday. "I want to close out this year with a tremendous performance," said Leatherwood. October 13, 2012 - Tonight, once beaten Super-welterweight prospect, Keandre Leatherwood (11-1, 8 KOs), scored a 4th round knockout against Marcus Brooks(7-11, 4 KOs) at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  The 6-round bout was promoted by Ring of Dreams in association with Boxing 360.

Leatherwood, used constant pressure to breakdown his opponent who was overwhelmed with great combination punching. With the win, Leatherwood and his promoter Boxing 360 are looking to get back in the ring very soon.

October 10, 2012 - Super-welterweight prospect, Keandre Leatherwood (10-1, 7 KOs) makes his way back to the squared circle this Friday October 11, 2012, when he battles Marcus Brooks (7-10, 3 KOs) at the Benton Convention Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  The scheduled 6-round bout is promoted by Ring of Dreams in association with Boxing 360.

Leatherwood, who hails from Birmingham, Alabama, has vowed to put more effort into his boxing career as he looks to rally off his last performance, where he stopped Mikel Williams by means of a third round knockout.

"After tasting defeat for the first time in my career against John Jackson, the light bulb went off in my head and I realized I need to be in the gym 24/7." said Leatherwood. "I've made the adjustment to my training regimen and now I'm feeling confident in my ability to fight at the championship level.  Boxing 360 is keeping me busy and I'm excited to be fighting this Friday."

JOEY DAWEJKO WINS BY KO KEANDRE LEATHERWOOD GETS A DRAW

June 4, 2012 - Boxng360's heavyweight Joey Dawejko (7-0, 3 KOs) and middleweight Keandre Leatherwood (9-1-1, 6 KOs) fought this weekend at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.  Dawejko stopped his opponent Edwin Ranquillo (2-2, 1 KO), by means of fourth round knockout, while Leatherwood went the distance with Frankie Filippone (9-2-1, 2 KOs) and got a draw. 

"I felt really good going into this fight," said Joey Dawejko. "I was feeling him out early in the fight and started to find my spots as the fight went on.  Once I had him hurt I knew I was going to get him out of there.  I want to stay busy and my promoter Boxing360 is looking to get me back in the ring very soon.  My goal is to get to 10-0 by the end of 2012."

Said Leatherwood, "I thought I did enough to win the fight, but Filippone was the hometown fighter and he definitely got some love from the judges.  I'm completely healthy and will be back in the ring as soon as Mario Yagobi has a fight lined up.  I will most likely go back down to 154 and compete at Jr. Middleweight."
