Cage Warriors 62: Fight card update

London, United Kingdom (October 31, 2013) - The bill for Cage Warriors 62 in Newcastle is taking shape following today’s addition of a further seven bouts – including two women’s bantamweight contests – to the December 7 card.

However, Brett Johns’ first CWFC bantamweight title defence will have to wait until 2014, with the champion forced to withdraw from his clash with James Brum at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena due to injury. A replacement opponent is now being lined up for Brum, but it’s hoped that Johns will be fit to put his belt up for grabs early next year.

Cage Warriors 62 in Newcastle, which will see Neil Seery defend his CWFC flyweight strap against Ulysses Gomez, will also feature the CWFC debut of local star Curt Warburton, after it was announced yesterday that he has signed an exclusive deal with the promotion. Warburton’s opponent will be revealed in due course.

Cage Warriors 55: Seery v Silander

London, England (April 18, 2013) - AN inaugural CWFC flyweight title bout has been set for Cage Warriors 55 at The Helix in Dublin, Ireland, on Saturday, June 1.

Dublin’s own Neil Seery and Finnish star Mikael Silander will clash in a bid to become Cage Warriors’ first ever 125lbs champion.

Cage Warriors 53: Calderwood v Krumdiack, Ball v Cooledge, Marin v Seery

London, England (March 20, 2013) - JOANNE Calderwood will return to action in her native Scotland when Cage Warriors hits the Kelvin Hall on Saturday, April 13.

The 26-year-old will face American veteran Sally Krumdiack in a strawweight bout at Cage Warriors 53, as the promotion stages its second show in Glasgow following the enormous success of December’s Cage Warriors 50 at the same venue.

Two further bouts have also been added to the card: Jason Ball will return to Cage Warriors action for a lightweight clash with Jason Cooledge, while Paul Marin and Neil Seery will meet in a flyweight contest.
