Dangerous and Upset-Minded Opponents To Challenge Featured Locals
March 27, 2012 - Throughout the 1970s, professional boxing was known for its dominating champions, history-making rivalries, and some of the greatest fights in the sport's history. Art of Boxing Promotions will try to channel the spirit of the 1970s with 10 action-packed bouts this Saturday, March 31, as they bring you "SATURDAY BOXING FEVER," a special 70s themed installment of the "War at Woodland Hills" boxing series.
The main attractions and early fight of the night candidates will be a trio of six-round bouts featuring Boxing360's former National Amateur Champion and current undefeated pro, Donyil Livingston (8-0-1), undefeated prospect from the famed Robert Garcia Boxing Academy in Oxnard, Herbert Acevedo (6-0), and big punching super middleweight who is improving with every pro fight, Tyrell Hendrix (7-1-2).
Livingston is scheduled to take on Haitian strongman Elie Augustama (5-4), who has five wins, three coming by way of knockout. Donyill will be looking to knock out Augustama for the first time in his career.
Acevedo will take on his most seasoned opponent to date in tough Texan Eddie Ramirez (6-10). Herbert brings a fan friendly style to the ring and promises to put on a great show.
While Hendrix is set to face his most dangerous opponent to date in Reynaldo Rodriguez (6-3-1), he's confident in his ability to come out victorious.
Saturday Boxing Fever at the Warner Center Marriott is also set to feature local boxing sensation Zachary "Kid Yamaka" Wohlman (2-0), undefeated fighters Oscar Diaz (2-0), Carlos Rodriguez, (2-0), Celine Roman (2-0), local favorite from the Espinoza Boxing Club, Daniel Roman (2-1), as well as two female bouts and a bout between boxers making their pro debuts to start off the show.
