"MAY DAY LIVE: COUNTDOWN TO MAYWEATHER VS. GUERRERO"
LIVE ON SHOWTIME

LAS VEGAS, May 2 - A bevy of undefeated Mayweather Promotions rising stars will get the crowd ready for "MAY DAY: Mayweather vs. Guerrero" when they compete in undercard bouts that will lead into the four-fight SHOWTIME PPV telecast taking place this Saturday, May 4 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Warming up fans watching at home will be "MAY DAY Live: Countdown to Mayweather vs. Guerrero" which will include up to two live preliminary fights, special ALL ACCESS features and exclusive interviews and will air live on SHOWTIME at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT.

In the "MAY DAY Live: Countdown to Mayweather vs. Guerrero" main event, undefeated Las Vegas light heavyweight Badou Jack (13-0, 9 KO's) will put his unblemished record on the line against knockout artist Michael Gbenga (13-7, 13 KO's) of Silver Springs, Maryland by way of Accra, Ghana in an eight-round bout.  Plus, time permitting, a six round matchup between rising super middleweight star Luis Arias (4-0, 3 KO's) of Las Vegas will go toe-to-toe Palmdale, California's DonYil Livingston (8-2-1, 4 KO's) will also be featured.

A member of the 2008 Gambian Olympic team, Badou "The Ripper" Jack now fights out of Las Vegas, where he has made a strong impression in the fight capital of the world as an exciting prospect with championship potential.  Unbeaten in his two fights thus far in 2013, the 29-year-old Jack is eager to shine in his adopted hometown this Saturday.

Thirty-three-year-old Michael "The Amazing" Gbenga rallied from a rocky start to his career to win nine of his last 11 bouts and, like all of his previous contests, each of those victories ended by way of knockout.  Excited for his Las Vegas debut this weekend, Gbenga's intention is clear when he faces Jack...he's looking for the knockout.

One of Mayweather Promotions' most promising up and coming prospect, Milwaukee native
Luis Arias has gotten off to a fast start in his professional career, winning all four of his fights since making his pro debut in November of 2012.  The 22-year-old former amateur standout has every intention of making it five in a row when he steps into the MGM Grand Garden Arena ring against Livingston.

A native of Tulsa now making his home in Palmdale, California, 28-year-old DonYil Livingston is looking to get back on track after tough losses to Elie Augustama and Paul Mendez.  Prior to those defeats, the talented Livingston was on the fast track to the top, and after a hard training camp, he's revving up to resume his quest for a world title.

In other undercard bouts, Las Vegas' Ronald Gavril (3-0) risks his unbeaten professional record in a super middleweight four round fight against Phoenix' Roberto Yong (5-6-2, 4 KO's), and opening the event in a four-round super middleweight bout will be Las Vegas' Lanell Bellows  (3-0) facing Charleston, West Virginia's Matthew Garretson (2-0, 1 KO).

"MAY DAY: Mayweather vs. Guerrero," a 12-round fight for Mayweather's WBC Welterweight World Championship and the vacant Ring Magazine Welterweight World Championship, is promoted by Mayweather Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions and sponsored by Corona, O'Reilly Auto Parts, AT&T, Star Trek Into Darkness and Valvoline.  The mega-event will take place Saturday, May 4 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be produced and distributed live by SHOWTIME PPV® beginning at 9:00 p.m. ET/6:00 p.m. PT.  The event can be heard in Spanish using secondary audio programming (SAP).  Also featured will be WBC Featherweight World Champion Daniel Ponce de Leon taking on Two-Division World Champion Abner Mares in a 12-round fight for Ponce de Leon's WBC Featherweight World Championship, former IBF Bantamweight World Champion Leo Santa Cruz facing veteran Alexander Munoz in a 10-round fight for the vacant USBA Junior Featherweight Championship and rising star J'Leon Love squaring off against recent world title challenger Gabriel Rosado in a 10-round middleweight battle for the vacant NABF Middleweight Championship.  Up to two preliminary fights will be featured as part of "MAY DAY Live: Countdown to Mayweather vs. Guerrero" which will air live on SHOWTIME at 7:00 p.m. ET/4:00 p.m. PT.

DONYIL LIINGSTION TO FACE LUIS ARIAS ON MAYDAY UNDERCARD

April 12, 2013 -The Mayweather-Guerrero undercard is continuing to take shape with the untelevised portion of the card getting a boost in the form of Californian based middleweight DonYil Livingston (8-2-1, 4KOs) squaring off against highly touted Mayweather promoted prospect Luis Arias (4-0, 3KOs). The 8 round contest will be fought at a catch weight of 165 lbs and both fighters will be looking to put on a show in front of a rambunctious crowd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Livingston will be looking to get back into the win column, although he will have a substantial advantage over Arias in the experience department. While Arias has competed on 3 different occasions this year, Livingston will be making his first appearance of 2013. However, Livingston is clearly the most significantly skilled opponent in Arias' career and the step up will determine just how ready the 22 year old prospect really is at this point. Livingston will look to take advantage of that inexperience.

"The kid is on fire right now, but he's never seen anyone like me and it's going to be too much too soon. I give him credit for stepping up like this because most fighters try to pad their record at such an early stage. I'll get the win and he'll get the learning experience, I think that's a fair trade," Livingston said.

Livingston is competing against a Mayweather Promotions' fighter on a card headlined by Floyd Mayweather Jr., but Mario Yagobi of Boxing 360, Livingston's promoter, is ecstatic with the opportunity that is being presented to his fighter.

"DonYil gets the chance to perform on the undercard of the biggest event of the year and he has to take full advantage. With the expected atmosphere that night it is important to make the best effort at turning some heads, DonYil is capable of doing just that. He isn't the kind of fighter who underestimates opponents, regardless of experience. He knows how good his opponent is and how important this fight is for turning his future aspirations into reality, he will use his ring experience to get the win and build some momentum," Yagobi said.

DonYil Livingstion is promoted by Boxing 360.  For more information on Livingston please visit www.boxing360.com.

DONYIL LIVINGSTON: "I'm going to rededicate myself to training harder"

Livingston-1.jpg
April 2, 2012 - This past weekend at the "War at Woodland Hills" card titled "Saturday Night Fever," a shocking upset occurred when amateur standout and previously undefeated pro, Donyil Livingstion (8-1-1,4 KOs), suffered his first loss on a split decision to Elie Augustama (6-4, 3 KOs).

"There are no excuses on the loss," Livingston said. "I was surprised by how awkward Augustama was and I didn't have any tape on him so I wasn't prepared for his unique style. He came to fight and he beat me fair and square. I think it's time for a change so my goal is to start training with Virgil Hunter. He's guided Andre Ward to greatness and I think it will be good for me to make the move. I'm going to rededicate myself to training harder and rebound from this setback. I'll be back."

Boxing360's Mario Yagobi, who promotes Livingston stated, "Boxing is a very difficult sport to be successful at. Donyil was on a roll and he ran into a speed bump. I expect him to make the proper adjustments in his training and do whatever it takes to get back on top. My plan is to get him back in the ring before the summer and see where he stands. You always learn the most from a loss. Donyil is a good kid and I believe he'll come back strong."

SATURDAY BOXING FEVER was presented by Art Of Boxing Promotions in association with Bash Boxing, Boxing360, and the Espinoza Boxing Club and was sponsored by Pitbull Energy Drink and Energy Bar, Zeke's Bail Bonds, Frog Environmental, Putasos Fight Gear, Hollywood Law Center, and Futurola The Dutch Rolling Company.

WAR AT WOODLAND HILLS RETURNS SATURDAY MARCH 31, 2012 AT WARNER CENTER MARRIOTT

"Saturday Boxing Fever" 70s Show

Boxing And Disco on Saturday March 31, 2012 At Warner Center Marriott

In the early 1970s, professional boxing in Woodland Hills, California was a regular occurrence when legendary Hall of Fame Promoter "Dandy" Don Fraser hosted a weekly show at the historic Valley Music Theater on Ventura Boulevard. On Saturday, March 31, 2012, the spirit of the 70s will be welcomed back as the only regular pro boxing show in the San Fernando Valley returns to the Warner Center Marriott with "SATURDAY BOXING FEVER," a special 70s themed installment of Art of Boxing and Bash Boxing's "War at Woodland Hills" boxing series.

Started in 2007 by former NABO Super Flyweight Champion Kahren Harutyunyan, who later associated with boxing attorney and manager, Steve Bash, the "War at Woodland Hills" boxing series is now in its sixth year. Boxing fans who have grown accustomed to the exciting live action and intimate setting of the Warner Center Marriott Grand Ballroom are encouraged to bring their favorite bell bottoms and disco shoes for a fun night of professional boxing and 70s entertainment on March 31.

Highlighting "Saturday Boxing Fever" will be the returns of Boxing360's former National Amateur Champion and current undefeated pro Donyil Livingston, new local boxing phenomenon Zachary "Kid Yamaka" Wohlman, undefeated prospects from the famed Robert Garcia Boxing Academy in Oxnard, Herbert Acevedo and Erik Ruiz, andhighly regarded female boxer Celine Roman.

Livingston (8-0-1, 4KOs), from Palmdale, California, won a close split decision against tough veteran Michael Walker (19-11, 12KOs) in his last appearance at the Warner Center Marriott. Wohlman, (2-0), put on a boxing clinic against Japanese import Tatsuro Irie (0-2), while pleasing his adoring fans that repeatedly chanted "YA-MA-KA, YA-MA-KA" (referencing the phonetic spelling of Wohlman's nickname given to him by his trainer Freddie Roach because of his Jewish heritage). Oxnard's Herbert Acevedo (6-0, 3KOs) and Erik Ruiz (4-0, 2 KOs) have both performed brilliant in Woodland Hills and hope to add to their unblemished professional records on March 31st. Also returning will be undefeated female boxer Celine Roman (2-0), who has called Woodland Hills home with all of her professional fights taking place in the Warner Center Marriott. Roman beat previously undefeated boxer Claudia Amaro in her last bout.

Some new faces from the best gyms and boxing clubs in Southern California are also scheduled to box on March 31st, including Espinoza Boxing Club's Daniel Roman (2-1), Robert Garcia Boxing Academy's Carlos Rodriguez (2-0) and Neil Arellano (pro debut), and a trio of boxers from Freddie Roach's Wildcard Boxing Club in Tyrell "Hollywood" Hendrix (7-1-2), Javier Albonica (2-1), and female boxer Holly "Lil Bear" Lawson (1-1).

"It doesn't feel like it but Kahren Harutyunyan and I have now worked together on these shows for over five years," commented Bash Boxing's Steve Bash. "Our fans want to see good fights first and foremost and they have been treated to some of the most competitive and exciting fights that can ever come out of a ballroom show. And we love adding the fun acts, contests, and themes that keep fans entertained in between the fights as well. This winning combination is why we have managed to sell out nearly every show and why "SATURDAY BOXING FEVER" on March 31st will be our best show to date."
