The Cobra tells fans to start the party early at Friday’s weigh-in
Carl Froch believes he can get an early advantage over Lucian Bute at tomorrow’s public weigh-in at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham, live on Sky Sports News at 2.45pm.
Froch and Bute will take to the scales ahead of Saturday nights IBF super middleweight World title clash, and The Cobra wants his fans to turn out in force just like they did when 3,000 of them cheered him on at the weigh-in for his last fight in Nottingham against Andre Dirrell three years ago.
“Bute is going to feel the full force of my fans tomorrow – there’s nothing like The Cobra’s army in full force,” said Froch. “It looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day so I hope they come out in their thousands.
“When I weighed in for the Dirrell fight they definitely gave me an edge – he was intimidated by the huge numbers and then they started chanting for me. They created a real racket and they will tomorrow – and Lucian will get a little idea of what’s in store for him on Saturday night, but times by three.”
Extremely limited tickets for Froch’s IBF World super middleweight title challenge to Bute are on sale from the Capital FM Arena Nottingham website www.capitalfmarena.com and on 08444 124624.
