Brooklyn Brawl returns to Webster Hall Jan 22nd

Brooklyn, NY (December 8, 2014)--The Holiday Season is in full swing, and soon enough, we will be ringing in the New Year. Already, plans are being hashed out for the year in boxing 2015, and promoter Dmitriy Salita is anticipating the forthcoming year will be chock full of stellar live events, and marked growth for the fighters under his Star of David Promotions banner.  On Jan. 22, Star of David will throw a New Year's bash, and present an evening of professional boxing at the famed New York City venue Webster Hall, Salita announced today.  "I am happy to be back in Webster Hall, a beautiful landmark building in the heart of New York City," Salita said. "The January 22nd show will showcase some of the hottest contenders and prospects in the world. The card is stacked from top to bottom!"  Topping the bill will be cruiserweight contender Steven Bujaj (13-0-1), who will defend his New York State cruiserweight title in an eight round bout. Also on the card will be the man who gave Bujaj the roughest test of his career, Junior Wright (12-0-1). The Chicago-based hitter, newly signed to Star of David, fought Bujaj to a draw last May, and has notched two wins since that scrap. Wright will compete in a six-round bout. Wright, who has his eyes on a world title crack soon, is currently in training camp with WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson, to help the Canada-based fighter prepare for his next bout.  Salita is thrilled to have Russian cruiserweight Alexey Zubov (6-0, 4 KOs) on the Webster Hall event. The national amateur champion fought more than 120 amateur bouts, and possesses power in both hands, so it's a good bet he will score a highlight-reel knockout in NYC. Also compteting in six round bouts will be New York city favorites and Brooklyn Brawl regulars lightweight Dimash Niyazov (6-0-3, 4 KO's) & Middleweight Akil Auguste.  Marcos Suarez (3-0-1, 1 KO) will also return to the ring in a four-round Jr. Welterweight bout; all three have a loyal fan base who cheer them on at Star of David promotions.  Popular Italian fighter Super Featherweight  Floriano Pagliara, a fan fave in the NYC region, returns to the ring as well in a six round bout. BROOKLYN (July 31, 2014)-- The fight fans have been clamoring for it, so back, by popular demand, comes another edition of "Brooklyn Brawl." Star of David Promotions CEO Dmitriy Salita is excited to announce that another exciting evening of professional boxing will run on Sept. 18, at the Master Theater in Brighton Beach, Brooklyn. Cruiserweight Junior Wright (10-0-1, 9 KO's), who wowed the crowd with his skills, stamina and toughness in the last Brooklyn Brawl, back in May, will be in action on September. 18 in a six round bout. "Junior Wright is recognized as one of the best cruiserweights in the world. He loves fighting in New York City, we are very happy to bring one of the best prospects back to Brooklyn," Salita said.  Also, junior middleweight contender Steven Martinez (15-1, 12 KO's), gaining more of a reputation as a power punching fan favorite in every outing, will also see action in Brighton Beach. Salita co-promotes Martinez along with future Hall of Famer Roy Jones Jr. It speaks loudly that Jones, having been regarded himself as one of the most talented hitters every to enter the ring, calls Martinez, "one of the best talents in the junior middleweight division." Added Salita: "Steve Martinez has been looking very impressive. He wants to make a statement again."  He will compete in a six round bout. Top ten pound for pounder in the women's ranks Amanda Serrano (20-1-1, 15 KO's), a two-time world champion, will have her hands full with Jackie Trivilino, who showed New York fight fans she's the real deal on June 14, when she fought rising star Heather Hardy tooth and nail at Barclays Center.   This will be an 8-round bout. Dimash Niyazov (6-0-2, 4 KO's), a Kazakhstan-born boxer who possesses a blend of speed, power and mobility, looks to show boxing fans that Gennady Golovkin isn't the only pugilistic talent produced by that nation. The junior welterweight living on Staten Island meets Jamell Tyson in a 6-round bout on Sept. 18."Dimash Niyazov has been very inspired by success of his countryman Gennady Golovkin," Salita said. "Dimash is very popular in this area, and is motivated to climb up the ranks." Also, 4-1 middleweight Akil "That Dude" Auguste (4-1, 4 Ko's) of Brooklyn seeks to extend his KO streak to five fights, this time taking on Godson Noel (3-0, 2 KO's). Heavyweight contender Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller (9-0-1, 9 KO's) returns to action in a six rounder. "Brooklyn Brawl” to be televised on The Fight Network On Sunday, October 13th

BROOKLYN, NY (October 7, 2013) -- The Full August 22nd Brooklyn Brawl boxing show will be broadcast on October 13 at 11pm on The Fight Network.

The show took place at the Fight Factory Gym and was promoted by Dmitry Salita’s Star of David Promotions.

The latest addition of Brooklyn Brawl featured competitive fights, sensational knockouts and great fan support from the boxing capital of the world, New York City.” 

In the main event, Jose Torres stopped Miron Kadyrov in a Cruiserweight bout.

In the fight that stole the show, Peter Reyes had to get off the canvas and came back to score a “highlight reel” 2^nd round knockout over Juan Zapata in a Super Middleweight bout.

With the stoppage, Reyes in now 3-0 with 2 knockouts.

The show also a 2^nd stoppage win by Treysean Wiggins (4-1, 4 KO’s) over Marcus Hall in a Welterweight bout.

Highly regarded amateur Marco Suarez made a successful pro debut with a four round unanimous decision over 15 fight veteran Jermell Tyson in a Welterweight fight.

Other winners included undefeated Mikkel Lespierre (4-0-1) and Anthony Barnes (2-0) as well as pro debuting Jovan Sosa.
