Rivalta Management inks undefeated Dominican lightweight Eudy Bernardo

Eudy Bernardo signs with Rivalta Management

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. (November 14, 2013) - Rivalta Management, owned and operated by Henry Rivalta, has signed undefeated Dominican lightweight prospect Eudy Bernardo 17-0 (12 KO's) to an exclusive managerial contract.

"I am really pleased to sign this contract with Mr. Rivalta," Bernardo said. "I know it is here in the U.S. where I must show my ability. We are working very hard in the gym to be ready to fight at any moment."

The 26-year-old Bernardo has been training the past six weeks at Iron Mike Productions gym, under the supervision of head coach, John David Jackson, and assistant Derick Santos.

"For now," Jackson explained, "Eudy is working hard to stay near his fighting weight, so he is not doing the same workouts he will do when he has a fight date. His manager, Henry Rivalta, is looking for a fight for Bernardo."

"Bernardo is undergoing a rigorous training schedule, including much physical labor and technical work," Santos noted. "We are still evaluating him to improve his skills and provide tips to improve his chances in every fight."

Bernardo's enthusiasm is evident in every training session, fully focusing on what he wants to do in terms of his career. "I have no time to waste," he concluded. "My time is now and I must take advantage of all the facilities offered me by my representatives to be able to give my best for my family."

February 9, 2013 - Unbeaten Lightweight prospect, Eudy Bernardo (16-0, 11 KOs) is 2-0 with two first round knockouts in 2013. The Dominican Republic native is on the fast track to a tremendous year in 2013 as he is quickly approaching his twentieth victory.

Promoted by Boxing 360, Bernardo has all the tools to become a world champion and his promoter Mario Yagobi is happy with the progress he's shown in his last few fights.  With big fights looming, Yagobi comments on Bernardo's future.

"Eudy is showing me he really wants to take his career to the next level.  He had two spectacular performances this past January and I'm very pleased he's taking these fights with open arms.  Anytime you have a fighter who's willing to step in the ring on the drop of a dime, you know you have something special." said Mario Yagobi.

"Last year I provided him with the good fights and the experience he gained from those fights are going to prepare him for the next level." continued Yagobi. September 26, 2012 - Undefeated lightweight standout, Eudy "AK 47" Bernardo (13-0, 8 KOs), who hails from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, will travel to hostile territory and fight Jose Gonzalez (20-0, 15 KOs) who resides in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico.  Both fighters will put their undefeated records on the line as they battle for the WBC Latino Lightweight title.

This 10-round bout is promoted by PR Best Boxing Promotions in association with Boxing 360 and will take place on October 6, 2012 at the Coliseo Ruben Rodriguez, in Bayamon, PR.

Fighting for his first sanctioned title, Bernardo who's a dynamic boxer-puncher is excited for the opportunity to fight for the WBC Latino lightweight title.  Having won his last two fights by knockout, Eudy understands this fight will be his toughest challenge to date.

"I know when I step in the ring with Jose Gonzalez it's going to be a war," said Bernardo. "He's fighting in his homeland and he's going to do everything in his power to please his fans.  He's coming off a couple of knockouts so I expect him to be aggressive in this fight.  I'm in great shape and will be prepared for anything Gonzalez brings to the ring. I don't expect this fight to go the distance."

"This is the type of fight that makes boxing the greatest sport on the planet," stated Boxing 360 promoter Mario Yagobi, who promotes Bernardo. "When two young hungry undefeated fighters are scheduled to face each other, it's the fans that benefit the most.  Eudy Bernardo is a special fighter who brings nothing but excitement to the ring and this fight will prove he's a blue chip prospect."

Jose Gonzalez has never fought outside of his native land of Puerto Rico and will have the hometown crowd on his side.  If Bernardo is successful in winning this fight, it will be a remarkable feat having traveled to a place where a fighter has never lost.

"There is no doubt about it if Bernardo comes out victorious, he'll be considered one of the best young prospects in boxing," continued Yagobi. "I know Gonzalez is going to do everything he can to win this fight, but I anticipate a hard fought victory for my fighter, Eudy Bernardo."

Eudy-Jumbotron

"This will be my first fight of 2012 and I want to end it early," said Bernanrdo. "I know Lebron doesn't have the best record, but he's got a lot of experience.  Once I win this fight, I want to get right back in the ring and hopefully fight in the U.S. by the end of the year.  My promoter Mario Yagobi said he will bring me to Miami to start training there after a few more fights."

Said promoter Mario Yagobi, "Bernardo is another one of our fighters making noise outside of the United States.  He's got great boxing skills and I know once he comes to the States, he'll get better training and sparring.  The lightweight division is looking for the next star and I see Eudy making his way to that position.  I'll get him back in the ring as soon shortly after this fight."
