LOUIS (January 28, 2013) - North American Boxing Federation (NABF) Super Welterweight champion Willie "The Great" Nelson (19-1-1, 11 KOs) makes his first title defense March 1 against tough challenger Michael "El Magnifico" Medina (26-3-2, 19 KOs) in the 10-round co-feature on ESPN Friday Night Fights, live from MGM Grand at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. WBC No. 16-ranked Medina will be giving away 3 ½ inches in height, as well as a 9-inch reach, when he challenges Nelson. The Los Angeles-based fighter's most notable win is by 10-round decision in 2011 to Grady Brewer. Undefeated featherweight Patrick Hyland Prepared to make Irish boxing history

(July 29, 2012) - Undefeated featherweight prospect Patrick "The Punisher" Hyland is on the brink of establishing an Irish boxing record for the most consecutive victories starting a professional career. Dublin-native Hyland (26-0, 12 KOs), now living in Marlboro (NY), shoots for his 27th Irish record-setting win in a row on Wednesday night, August 8, headlining an outdoor show, presented by Pretty Girl Promotions, at Sahlen Stadium in Rochester, New York. Hyland takes on hard-hitting Dominican Carlos "El Flaco" Fulgencio (19-7-1, 12 KOs) in the 10-round main event. "Bombs Away In Las Vegas," sponsored by Westbury Jeep and Westbury Fiat, was taped live and airs for free on May 24, exclusively on www.boxing.com. Ringside reporters are Randy Gordon and former middleweight contender John Duddy. "Everybody enjoyed themselves," promoter Bob Duffy said. "We sold-out and the show was over by 10:30, which was good because the show it was Thursday night and a lot of people had work the next day.   Working for the first time with David Schuster (Winner Take All Productions) was interesting because he brings enthusiasm to a promotion. He is a breath of fresh air. Now, we start focusing on August 11 when we return to The Plattduetsche, but for an outdoor show.
