ROCKY JUAREZ VS. ROBINSON CASTELLANOS TO HEADLINE GOLDEN BOY LIVE! CARD AT COWBOYS DANCEHALL IN SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS ON JANUARY 26, 2015

FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE ELIMINATOR TO AIR LIVE ON FOX SPORTS 1 AND FOX DEPORTES

ROCKY JUAREZ SET TO ATTEND DECEMBER 8 CHRISTMAS IN THE RING CHARITY NIGHT OF FIGHTS IN SAN ANTONIO

SAN ANTONIO (December 4, 2014) - FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes' Golden BoyLive! welcomes the new year with a return to Cowboys Dancehall in San Antonio, Texas onMonday, January 26, 2015 with a main event that true boxing fans won't want to miss.  Presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Leija Battah Promotions, the WBC Silver Featherweight Champion Rocky Juarez (30-10-1, 21 KOs) defends his title against Robinson "Robin Hood" Castellanos (20-10, 13 KOs), in a 10-round brawl that will also serve as a WBC Featherweight World Title Eliminator. The stakes are higher than ever for two world-class featherweights coming off of spectacular wins in their recent bouts.

"It is not often that two veteran gladiators face off with one final title shot likely up for grabs," said Oscar De La Hoya, Founder and President of Golden Boy Promotions. "This is the last shot for two battle-tested fighters, and fans in San Antonio will get to witness first-hand what these boxing lions will do to make it back to the top."

A silver medal winner for the United States in the 2000 Olympics, Rocky Juarez (30-10-1, 21 KOs) is one of boxing's most respected veterans. After falling just short of world title honors over the years against the likes of Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez and Chris John; the 34-year-old from Houston has parlayed huge wins over Antonio Escalante and Rene Alvarado into a number three ranking by the WBC. On January 26, he has the chance to defeat Castellanos and earn the world title shot he has been waiting for.

Ranked fifth in the world by the WBC, Celaya's Robinson Castellanos (20-10, 13 KOs), rebounded from a rocky start to win 12 of his last 13 fights, rejuvenating a career that began in 2002. His victories include a decision win over former world champion Celestino Caballero in 2013 and his biggest impact was in October 2014, when he knocked out 23-0 Ronny Rios in the fifth round. Now he faces off against the granite-chinned Juarez with a world title shot on the line, and the 32-year-old veteran can't wait for the first bell to ring.

TRIO HEADLINES FREE "CHRISTMAS IN THE RING" EVENT IN SAN ANTONIO ON DEC. 8 FEATURING UNBEATEN OLYMPIAN "JO JO" DIAZ JR. AND A FULL CARD OF TEXAN TALENT

EACH FAN DONATING ONE TOY RECEIVES A TICKET TO CHARITY FIGHT NIGHT AT COWBOYS DANCEHALL

SAN ANTONIO (Dec. 1) - Christmas will come early for fight fans in San Antonio, Texas, as Golden Boy Promotions and Leija-Battah Promotions are pleased to announce that 2012 United States Olympian Joseph "JoJo" Diaz Jr., unbeaten Mexican star Ivan "Nino Maravilla" Morales and Fort Worth's Jose "Loco" Hernandez will headline a stacked card of Texan talent at Cowboys Dancehall on Monday, December 8.

"Christmas in the Ring" will arrive in San Antonio on December 8 when Golden Boy Promotions & Leija Battah Promotions present an explosive night of professional boxing. Gloves will fly as boxers take on opponents for the final time in 2014. This is going to be a cannot miss night. Even better it is FREE to Texas boxing fans and professional fighters with the donation of a toy and will benefit the Children's Shelter of San Antonio and St. PJ's Children's Home to give to the abused and neglected children from "Santa Clause." Bring a toy to the Leija Battah offices at 4310 West Ave. between 9am - 6pm Monday thru Friday and receive your free ticket. This event is sponsored by Mexico - Live It To Believe It!, O'Reilly Auto Parts Dewalt, Nike Boxing, Red M'Combs Toyota, Everlast, and Lowe's.

Legendary Hall of Fame, Founder & President of Golden Boy Promotions Oscar De La Hoya, Texas Promoter Mike Battah and legendary former World Champion and Promoter Jesse James Leija want to give back to fans by giving them an early Christmas Present to show our appreciation for all of the support that has been given to us over the past three years.

In the main event, scheduled for 10 rounds in the junior featherweight division, rising star Diaz Jr. will face his most experienced foe to date in 69-fight veteran Jose Angel Beranza. The 22-year-old southpaw from South El Monte has had a spectacular 2014 thus far, winning all five of his bouts, three by knockout. 38-year-old Mexico City native Beranza (36-31-2, 28 KOs) has seen it all over the course of his career, and after facing a series of five opponents in his most recent bouts who had a combined 82-2-1 record, he'll look to get back on track against Diaz.

The co-main event will see Fort Worth's Hernandez (14-8-1, 6 KOs) attempt to return to the win column after a controversial split decision loss to Keandre Gibson in August when he takes on San Antonio's Justo Vallecillo (6-17, 3 KOs) in an eight-round junior welterweight matchup. Unbeaten in four of his last seven, including an eighth-round technical knockout of 15-0 Tony Luis, the popular Hernandez always gives the fans an exciting performance and against the dangerous Vallecillo, he expects to deliver another bout to remember.

Currently ranked seventh in the world by the WBC, the 23-year-old Morales (26-0, 15 KOs) is excited to be back in San Antonio, where he defeated Raul Hidalgo back in April of 2013. Since then, the talented southpaw has won five straight matches, most recently stopping Cesar Canchila in six rounds in August. On December 8, he will meet up with Kyrgyzstan native Timur Shailezov (17-8-1, 4 KOs) in a 10-round bantamweight bout.

That's not all though, as eight more fights featuring some of Texas' rising fighters will be contested at Cowboys Dancehall. First off, the unbeaten San Antonio stars Javier Rodriguez (11-0-1, 1 KO) and Joseph Rodriguez (7-0, 2 KOs) will be challenged in separate junior featherweight 6-round bouts against opponents to be determined. Junior welterweights Jairo Castaneda (6-0, 2 KOs) and Albert Espinoza (2-4) will face off in a 4-round fight. San Antonio's Cresencio Ramos (1-0, 1 KO) will go up against Cooperas Cove's Jaime Hernandez (1-2) in a 4-round junior lightweight battle. Newcomers,Christian Santbanez (0-2) will go up against Daniel Arriaga (0-1-1) and David Ruiz (0-2) will fight Erick Loera (2-1, 1 KO), in separate 4-round lightweight matches. Light heavyweight Adam Franklin is making his professional debut against San Marcos' Kevin Conrad (0-2) in a 4-round bout, and opening up this exciting night, Brownsville's Juan Tapia (2-0, 1 KO) and Robert Ledesma (0-3) from San Antonio will go against each other in a junior featherweight 4-round fight.

Fighters Host Workout Ahead Of Their November 13 Golden Boy Live! Fight Card At Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif.
Live on FOX Sports 1 & FOX Deportes

Tickets Still Available!

LOS ANGELES (NOV. 11, 2014) - Local rising stars Joseph Diaz Jr., Julian Ramirez, Diego De La Hoya and Roy Tapia, as well as seven-foot tall international sensation Taishan, held a media workout at Ponce De Leon Boxing Club in Montebello, Calif. in advance of their bouts at Fantasy Spring Resort Casino this Thursdaynight on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes.

Here is what each of the fighters had to say about their respective bouts:

JOSEPH DIAZ JR., Undefeated Featherweight Rising Star

"I'm very excited to be on this great card on FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes as the main event. The whole card features future stars, so I'm excited to be back at Fantasy Springs.

"I know that my opponent is very tough, but that's what I want to show everyone; that I'm fighting tough opponents. I'm going to be aggressive on Thursday because that's what fight fans want to see.

"Thanks to Golden Boy Promotions I've been staying busy and active throughout 2014. In 2015, I would like six or seven fights and to continue fighting tough opponents."

JULIAN RAMIREZ, Undefeated Featherweight Rising Star

"I'm ready for Thursday. Hopefully the knockout comes, but I won't force anything, if it comes it comes. I'm going to give it my all Thursday. I just want to please the crowd and give everyone a great show.

"All I know about Pedro Melo is that he's good. He's a boxer and has a good jab, so I'm ready for that and for anything he brings.

"It's been a good year for me, it's my fourth fight, so I'm staying active and getting the wins. I'm fighting at 10-rounds now and winning.

On his weight class: "I think Guillermo Rigondeux is the best and most skilled in my weight-class. Lomachenko is also one of my favorites, but he needs to be more aggressive in my opinion. I also look up to Jhonny Gonzalez, Abner Mares and Leo Santa Cruz. I want to be up there with all of them."

DIEGO DE LA HOYA, Undefeated Featherweight Prospect

"I'm well prepared. Training camp has gone great and the most important thing is that I've got a winning mentality. I'm just waiting for Thursday to come.

"I'm very happy about this year because I've kept very busy. Golden Boy Promotions has done a good job at getting me fights often, so I'm staying active.

"I'm very excited to fight at Fantasy Springs again, especially because my fans and family from Mexicali will be there to cheer me on."

ROY TAPIA, Junior Featherweight Prospect

"On Thursday my plan is to work the body as much as I can. This camp has been the best one yet. I've been at 100 percent because I started when Jesus Cuellar and Juan Manuel Lopez were in camp, so I was able to spar with Cuellar. I'm on weight for Thursday and ready to go.

"On Thursday expect a lot of head movement and aggressiveness. I'll be working the body a lot. Like a pit bull, once I got them I won't let them go.

"I'm very grateful to Golden Boy Promotions. I hope they and the fans love my crazy style and that I work my way up to fighting on TV."

TAISHAN, Undefeated Heavyweight Prospect

"Training has gone very well. I feel confident with my new coach, Buddy McGirt, and I feel confident with myself.

"I'm very excited about my second professional boxing fight. I'm well prepared and I'm looking forward to it.

"Because of my height and size I hope to bring something different for boxing fans.

On choosing boxing over MMA or wrestling:"I loved boxing and always watched matches in China. But I never had the chance to learn about boxing and become a true student of the sport until I came to the U.S."

"The future of boxing has never been brighter, and the four young men lacing up the gloves onNov. 13 are among those carrying the torch from one generation to the next," said Oscar De La Hoya, president and founder of Golden Boy Promotions. "Fans will get to see scintillating action from fighters in a full range of weight classes, all of whom have two things in common - they represent the future of our sport, and none have ever tasted defeat."

A member of the 2012 United States Olympic team, South El Monte's Joseph Diaz Jr. (12-0, 8 KOs) is rapidly displaying the skill and poise to not just match his amateur successes, but surpass them. Just 21-years-old, Diaz is gearing up for his third 10-round fight, and since his impressive victories over Ramiro Robles and Raul Hidalgo, Diaz is more than ready for another test on Nov. 13.

The great nephew of the late former world champion Genaro Hernandez, 21-year-old southpawJulian Ramirez (12-0, 7 KOs) has boxing in his blood, and he's been on the fast track ever since he turned professional in 2012. A dynamic fighter with all of the tools to succeed, Ramirez is coming off of his third win of 2014 when he faced Ricardo Hernandez on Sept. 27, and he's hungry for another victory.

Another fighter with boxing running through his veins is 20-year-old Diego De La Hoya (7-0, 5 KOs), the cousin of "The Golden Boy" himself, Hall of Famer Oscar De La Hoya. Already sporting seven wins in a little over a year as a professional, the Mexicali native has become a favorite at Fantasy Springs where he will make his fifth appearance this Nov.

Hailing from Beijing, China, seven-foot tall Taishan (1-0, 1 KO) is one of the most intriguing fighters to enter the ring in years. After his impressive second-round technical knockout of Alex Rozman in his professional debut in July, he showed that he's not just a great story, but a great young man with the potential to one day shake up the heavyweight division. The former kick boxer and mixed martial artist was a highly respected amateur boxer who moved to the U.S. to take his career more seriously and improve his prospects of defeating the best competition. He'll get the chance to showcase his dominance of the professional ranks again on Nov. 13 at Fantasy Springs.
