Malpartida Successfully Defends Championship

Sampson Boxing Announces Malpartida's Next Challenger

At a press conference held Wednesday in Lima, Peru, promoter Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson boxing announced that WBA Female Super Featherweight Champion, and Peruvian national hero, Kina Malpartida announced will face Thailand's Sriphrae Nongkipahuyuth on May 19, at a boxing event being held in conjunction with the WBA KO Drugs campaign.

The fight will be held at Miguel Grau Coliseum in the El Callao region of Peru.

Against Nongkipahuyuth (11-1-1, 4 KOs), Malpartida (13-3, 3 KOs) will be making the fifth defense of the title she won via TKO 10 over Maureen Shea in 2009. She has also defended against Halana Dos Santos (TKO 7), Lyndsey Scragg (UD 10), Liliana Palmera (UD 10) and was last seen defeating American Rhonda Luna via near-shutout 10-round decision last April.

Without having to put on the event herself, 32-year-old Malpartida says she is more than ready for her 19-year-old challenger.

"I am at my physical and mental peak," she told the huge crowd of assembled media. "Fighting in El Callao is the best thing that has ever happened to me. It will be a great honor to be making the fifth defense of my title in Peru. I have had a great training camp in the United States and by fight time, I will be in unbelievable physical condition.

Malpartida is the first Peruvian female boxer in history to win a world championship.

Sampson Boxing to Hold Press Conference in Peru to Announce Malpartida's Next Opponent

Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz of Sampson Boxing will hold a major press conference on Tuesday, April 10, in Lima, Peru, to announce the challenger for the next title defense of Peruvian superstar and WBA Super Featherweight Champion, Kina "Dinamita" Malpartida (13-3, 3 KOs).



Lewkowicz and Malpartida recently signed an exclusive promotional agreement and Lewkowicz is wasting no time in putting together a history-making event for her debut, as for first time the WBA KO Drugs Campaign will be held in the country of Peru.

Lewkowicz says he expects a very large crowd to attend in anticipation of learning Malpartida's next foe.



"Her every move is scrutinized over there, so there will be quite a bit of interest in her next opponent."

Lewkowicz Signs Promotional Agreement with Peruvian Heroine Kina Malpartida

Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz is proud to announce he has signed an exclusive promotional agreement Peruvian WBA Super Featherweight Female World Champion, Kina "Dinamita" Malpartida (13-3, 3 KOs).



32-year-old Malpartida now resides in Long Beach, California, but was born in Lima, Peru, and enjoys superstar status in her home country.



"Sampson is a great promoter, known worldwide. For me it's a great opportunity to work with him because ever since I've become a world champ I've been fighting in Peru and I've had to do the shows, basically by myself," explained Malpartida. "Signing with Sampson is a blessing because he will handle the production and I can just prepare properly for my fights."



Malpartida and Lewkowicz met at the recent WBA Awards Dinner and both say they were quick to see the potential in each other.



"I am very happy to add another idol to my stable of Champions," said Lewkowicz, "and soon I will announce her next challenger. The fight will take place in May in Peru in conjunction with the WBA KO Drugs campaign."
