ELITE HEAT BOXING TEAM MEMBERS HIGHLIGHT NEW JERSEY BOXING TEAM AT THE JR. NATIONAL GOLDEN GLOVES TOURNEY IN MESQUITE, NEVADA
NUTLEY, NJ (July 8, 2013)—This coming week three distinguished members of the McGirt / Elite Heat boxing team leave for Mesquite, Nevada to compete in the Jr. National Golden Gloves Tournament.
15-16 Year old Shakur Stevenson will compete in the 114 pound division. Back in November, Shakur was honored as the Junior Olympic Boxer of the Year by the New Jersey Boxing Hall of Fame. He is coached by his grand-father Wali Moses, who is now a National Coach and Rob Griffin, who the VP of the NJ Association of USA Boxing,
Vito Mielnicki Jr. will take part in the 11-12 year old, 75 pound weight class and he will be looking to become a three-time National champion as he won in 2011 and 2012.
Malik Nelson will fight in the 13-14 year old 75 pound division and he will look for back to back titles.
The stacked team, which placed 3rd nationally, last year, will bring 20 fighters to the tournament.

UNDEFEATED MIDDLEWEIGHT ANTOINE “ACTION” DOUGLAS SCORES SENSATIONAL 2ND ROUND STOPPAGE IN WHITEHALL, NEW YORK
Plus Elite Heat’s Mielnicki and Salaam score wins in amateur bouts
WHITEHALL, NY (April 13, 2013)—Last night at the Whitehall Athletic Club, prized Middleweight prospect Antoine Douglas scored a spectacular 2nd round stoppage over Juan Zapata to raise his perfect mark to 6-0 with 4 knockouts.
Douglas of Washington, D.C dropped Zapata once in round one and two times in the 2nd frame. Douglas worked the body throughout the fight and the body work set up the first two knockdowns. With Zapata’s hands guarding his body, Douglas came upstairs with a devastating left hook to drop Zapata completely out in the 2nd frame.
“That’s the kind of performance we expect from Antoine”, said Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions who promote Douglas along with Greg Cohen Promotions.
“We are keeping Antoine active and he will be on the SHO Box undercard on May 10th in Miami, Oklahoma”
On the amateur portion of the Pro-Am card, Vito Mielnicki Jr. of the Elite Heat Boxing Club won a three round decision over Sharif Danele in the 10 year old-75 lb division.
Mielnicki’s teammate on the Elite Heat Boxing Team, Zahir Salaam scored a decision win in the 9 year old-70 lb. division
Mielnicki and Salaam are trained by former world champion Buddy McGirt and Wali Moses at the Elite Heat Boxing Gym In Newark as well as the McGirt Training Facility in Nutley, New Jersey.
The Elite Heat Boxing team will be traveling to the Adidas Cup that will take place May 9th-May 12thin Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada.

McGIRT TRAINING FACILITY GRAND OPENING
NUTLEY, NJ (APRIL 8, 2013)—This past Thursday, The state of the art McGirt Training facility had its grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony.
The facility will be a gym and will also house the offices of GH3 Promotions and Greg Cohen Promotions is already a hit In the community and political leaders joined members of the boxing community at the Grand Opening.
The main trainer will be former world champion James “Buddy” McGirt, who will train not only professionals but some of the best amateurs in the country.
The McGirt Training Facility is an extension of the Elite Heat Boxing Gym that is located in Newark.
Said Buddy McGirt, “This is great. I want to thank Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions and Greg Cohen for the opportunity for me to come home. There is a lot of great talent here and I not only look forward to working with the professionals but the many great youngsters that have a lot of potential to become professionals in the years to come”
“There was an overflow of talent and kids at the our Elite Heat Gym”, said Vito Mielnicki
“There is a lot of top notch professional and amateur talent in this area and it’s great to add Buddy with our Elite Heat trainers Wali Moses and Robert Griffin”
“We are trying to make this gym a farm system to GH3 and Greg Cohen Promotions. We are taking a grass roots approach to boxing where we can mold young men and woman and keep them off the streets but teach them discipline through boxing and to have a world champion like Buddy McGirt and has since gone on to become one of the top trainers in the sport gives us a lot of credibility and a guy commands the respect of any aspiring boxer”
Also in attendance was the honorable mayor Alphonse Petracco.
The Facility will also house the Ediroc Store which will sell state of the art boxing equipment.
