ELITE HEAT BOXERS SHINE AT ELITE HEAT TOURNAMENT IN TRENTON

 

TRENTON, NJ (May 6, 2013)—this past weekend, The 3^rd Annual Elite Heat Boxing Tournament took place at Trenton High School.

 

This tournament featured some of the top young amateurs in the United States

 

The Elite Heat Boxing Team performed very well taking home a lot of titles and medals.

 

Jr. Golden Gloves National Champ Malik Nelson and Silver Gloves National Champ Jeremy Ardono of Allentown, PA faced off in the 12year old- 80 lbs. class with Nelson winning a 2-1 decision.

 

In a special bout,  2-time Jr. Golden Gloves National Champion Vito Mielnicki, 10 years old and 75 pounds,  stepped up in weight and age  to box Jeremy Ardono, who was a silver glove national champion.  Mielnick won a close 2-1 decision.

 

Zahir Salaam who is 9 years old and 70 lbs. from Elite Heat won a 3-0 decision over Alex Aviles from Asbury Park, NJ

 

Elite Heat’s Ziyaad Hassan who is 11 years old and 90 lbs won a 3-0 decision over Antonio Hall of Plainfield, NJ.

 

John Bauza who is 14 years old and 132 lbs from Elite Heat defeated Luis Rosa from New York.

Dewyke Flemming 9 years old from elite heat won a 3 - 0 decision over Denit Bradwood from Sole City boxing from Toledo, OH.  

 

 Rajohn Chance who is 13 years old and 85 lbs. and a Jr. National Golden Gloves Champion had an impressive stoppage over highly touted Josui Kirkpatrick of Norfolk, VA

 

The Elite Heat Boxing Team will be travelling this Thursday to Quebec, Canada to compete in the Adidas Cup.

3RD ANNUAL ELITE HEAT BOXING TOURNAMENT TO TAKE PLACE MAY 3RD – MAY 5TH AT TRENTON HIGH SCHOOL

TRENTON, NJ (April 23, 2013)—On Thursday May 3^rd, the 3^rd annual Elite Heat Boxing Tournament will take place at Trenton High School.

The Tournament will feature the top amateurs from all over the country and is open to any boxer 8 years old and up.

Late registration will take place on May 2^nd between 7am and 9pm

The weigh INS will take place on May 3^rd between 7 am and 1pm.  Later that day at 3 pm will be the coaches and draw meeting with the prelims and quarterfinals beginning at 6pm.

On May 4^th at noon The Quarterfinals and the Semi Finals will take place.

The Tournament will conclude on Sunday May 5^th with the finals in all classes beginning at 11 am.

UNDEFEATED MIDDLEWEIGHT ANTOINE “ACTION” DOUGLAS SCORES SENSATIONAL 2ND ROUND STOPPAGE IN WHITEHALL, NEW YORK

Plus Elite Heat’s Mielnicki and Salaam score wins in amateur bouts

WHITEHALL, NY (April 13, 2013)—Last night at the Whitehall Athletic Club, prized Middleweight prospect Antoine Douglas scored a spectacular 2^nd round stoppage over Juan Zapata to raise his perfect mark to 6-0 with 4 knockouts.

Douglas of Washington, D.C dropped Zapata once in round one and two times in the 2^nd frame. Douglas worked the body throughout the fight and the body work set up the first two knockdowns. With Zapata’s hands guarding his body, Douglas came upstairs with a devastating left hook to drop Zapata completely out in the 2^nd frame.

“That’s the kind of performance we expect from Antoine”, said Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions who promote Douglas along with Greg Cohen Promotions.

“We are keeping Antoine active and he will be on the SHO Box undercard on May 10^th in Miami, Oklahoma”

On the amateur portion of the Pro-Am card, Vito Mielnicki Jr. of the Elite Heat Boxing Club won a three round decision over Sharif Danele in the 10 year old-75 lb division.

Mielnicki’s teammate on the Elite Heat Boxing Team, Zahir Salaam scored a decision win in the 9 year old-70 lb. division

Mielnicki and Salaam are trained by former world champion Buddy McGirt and Wali Moses at the Elite Heat Boxing Gym In Newark as well as the McGirt Training Facility in Nutley, New Jersey.

The Elite Heat Boxing team will be traveling to the Adidas Cup that will take place May 9^th-May 12^thin Terrebonne, Quebec, Canada.
