De Alba wins 11th in a row with 5th round stoppage over Batres

Claims UBF All America Super Featherweight title  READING, PA (JULY 2, 2014)--This past Saturday night at the Santander Arena, Super Featherweight Frank De Alba scored a 5th round stoppage over tough Mexican Pablo Batres for the UBF All America title that highlighted an 6 professional, 11 amateur bout card. The show was promoted by King's Boxing and XFE. De Alba dominated the bout by using his height and boxing ability.  Batres tried to get inside but was never able to sustain much of a rhythm. In round five, De Alba landed a hard hook to the body that sent Batres to the canvas. Batres complained of a low blow but was not able to beat referee Gary Rosado's count at the 1:54 mark of round five. Batres continued to complain about the punch.  Fans can be the judge when the fight is replayed on Comcast Sportsnet in the next couple weeks.  (check your local listings.) De Alba of reading, PA is now 13-1-2 with five knockouts.  Batres of Nogales, Mexico is 7-10-1. In the co-feature, Danny Lugo scored a mild upset by scoring a 4-round majority decision over Pat Kehoe in a Jr. Middleweight bout. Lugo outboxed the hard charging Kehoe and won by scores of 40-36, 39-37 and 38-38. Lugo of Harrisburg, PA is now 3-7.  Kehoe of Reading is 1-1. Good looking Lightweight prospect Rolando Chinea scored three knockdowns en route to a 2nd round stoppage over Robert Ramos in a scheduled four round bout. Chinea scored two knockdowns in round one and one more in round two and the fight was stopped at 2:04. Chinea of Lancaster is now 8-0-1 with 5 knockouts.  Ramos of Allentown, PA is 1-3-1. Alex Sanchez of Camden, New Jersey boxed his way to a four round unanimous decision over Miguel Martinez in a Jr. Middleweight bout. Scores were 40-36 on all cards for Sanchez who is now 4-4.  Martinez of Reading, PA is 1-1. Christian Molina dropped Jordan Morales twice in round one which led to a stoppage victory in the same round of their scheduled 4-round Jr. Welterweight bout. The time of the stoppage was 2:42 for Molina of Allentown, PA and is now 2-0 with 1 knockout.  Morales was making his pro debut. Antonio DuBose scored a 4-round unanimous decision over Benjamin Burgos in a Featherweight bout. DuBose of Philadelphia won by scores of 40-36 twice and 39-37 to raise his perfect mark to 6-0.  Burgos of Mount Pocono, PA is 1-8-1.

De Alba ready for 11th straight victory this Saturday night in Reading

READING, PA (JUNE 25. 2014)-This Saturday night at the Santander Arena in Reading, rising Jr Lightweight Frankie De Alba will look for his 11th consecutive victory when he takes on Pablo Batres in a scheduled 8-round bout at the Santander Arena. De Alba of Reading has a record of 12-1-2 with 4 knockouts and has not lost since his pro debut in 2011.  He has been unbeaten in 14 straight. "Everything is good & I am anxious for Saturday," said De Alba. He faces Batres (7-9-1, 2 KO's) of Nogales, Mexico, who himself has been on a roll as he has won three straight bouts. Top flyweight prospect Miguel 'No Fear' Cartagena is set for his first 8 round fightthis Saturday

This Saturday rising Puerto Rican-American prospect Miguel 'No Fear' Cartagena ( 10-0, 3 KO's ) from Philadelphia of Puerto Rican descendant, will face off against Mexican veteran, Felipe Rivas ( 15-15-2, 9 KO's ) in a 8 round bout at super flyweight division at the Sands in Bethlehem, PA.

"I'm ready for my first 8 round fight. This is going to be a classic Puerto Rico vs. Mexico war, and as far as I know Puerto Rico is winning, and I'm not gonna change that", stated Philly's born and raise Cartagena, who is trained by Raúl 'Chino' Rivas at the Guts & Glory Gym located in West Berlin, New Jersey.

Rivas has a split decision loss against former two time world champion, Ivan Calderon, and on his last performance, he was defeated by amateur star Emmanuel Rodríguez via unanimous decision.

At the amateurs, Cartagena ended up with a record of 158-13. During that path he won 4 National Golden Gloves, AIBA World Games Champion, US National Champion, among other achievements. For his accomplishments he received the "Pride of Philadelphia Award" by the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame.

Since joining manager Mark Cipparone of Club 1957 Management in Blackwood, NJ, Cartagena has been very active.

"I let Miguel know that we would take a hard run and promised him that I would keep him active and fight no less than 6 times a year until we get noticed, and we are on our way now", said Mark Cipparone, 

Cipparone ended up saying, "When Miguel and I sat down for the first time, one of the first things that I asked was if he was willing to do what it takes to become World Champion, if he was willing to make tough decisions in order to become world Champ, he said yes. Miguel has since made the difficult choice and left his trainer from the amateurs, and since he started training with Raul 'Chino' Rivas, and his overall boxing performance has been growing dramatically. Miguel has given 110% of himself to his career and I feel that I am equally matched energy for energy with him".

In the maint event, WBA #9 Heavyweight, Travis "My Time" Kauffman (27-1, 20 KO's ) will face Vincent Thompson ( 13-1, 2 KO's ) for the WBA Fedelatin Heavyweight Championship. The co-main event bout is between Frank Santos De Alba (10-1-2, 4 KO's) from Reading, PA against New Yorker Chazz McDowell ( 6-3-1, 1 KO ) in a Jr. Lightweight 8 rounds bout.

READING, PA (October 3, 2012)—On Saturday night November 10^th, Marshall Kauffman’s Kings Boxing Promotions presents a great night of boxing at the Riveredge Hotel in Reading.

In the main event, undefeated Jr. Middleweight Grayson Blake will take on Robert Shockwell in a bout scheduled for six rounds.

Blake of State College, PA has a record of 5-0 with two knockouts and has a signature win over then undefeated DeCarlo Perez (5-0-1).  In his last bout, the thirty year-old Blake scored a fourth round stoppage over Corey Preston on February 25^th.

Sockwell of East Stroudsburg, PA has a record of 4-2-1with all wins coming via knockout.  The twenty-fiveyear old southpaw has two consecutive stoppages which his second round stoppage over Terrell Boggs on August 31^st.

Seeing action in a six round co-feature will be Jr. Lightweight Frank De Alba.

De Alba of Bayamon, Puerto Rico who now calls Reading home has a record of 4-1-2 with two knockouts.  De Alba has won two straight which includes a win over undefeated Andrew Bentley and his bout when he scored second round stoppage over tough Philadelphian Paul Fernandez on August 11^th.  De Alba’s opponent will be named shortly.

Jeremy Stauffer of Reading, PA (7-2-1, 6 KO’s) of Reading, PA battles Dan Biddle  (9-2, 5 KO’s) of Hockessin, DE in an intriguing six round Cruiserweight bout.

Popular Heavyweight William Miranda (6-5-1, 1 KO) of Allentown, PA will engage in a six round bout against an opponent to be named.

In a four round Super Featherweight bout, Sammy Quinones will take on debuting Charles Mack of Philadelphia in a four round bout.
