Olympic Judo Player Ivo Dos Santos Shares his Final Pre-Olympics Blog

Hey guys, just wanted to share my final Pre-Olympic blog with you.

http://www.ivojudo.com/2012/07/23/this-is-it/

The build up to the Olympic Games has been four years, but for many like myself it has been a dream for a lot longer than that.
I'm hoping that my blogs have been able to raise the public's awareness of my path, Australian Judo and the sport of Judo itself.

If you could share this latest blog through your networks it would go a small way towards having Judo in the spotlight, where it deserves to be, once the Olympic Games commences.

Thanks

Ivo Dos Santos

Judo Player Ivo Dos Santos Headed to Olympic Games in London

http://www.ivojudo.com/2012/05/09/london-or-bust/

Hi, Ivo Dos Santos, Judo athlete here.

Just thought I'd give you all an update on my Olympic Qualifying campaign.

I AM GOING TO LONDON!!!

I've linked a blog I wrote about the final selection competition at the top of this email for you guys to check out if you are curious.

But to summarize I was able to win the OJU Continental Championships for the fourth straight time and qualify in 14th place in the 66kg category.

My points total of 434 was the highest by an Australian in any of the weight divisions.

In total Australia has qualified six athletes with five of them coming from my training group in Melbourne.

I also just competed in the 2012 Australian National Championships in Wollongong where I rounded out my domestic preparation by winning gold in the 66kg category one more time.

From here I will head out to Europe for 5 weeks of Competition and Training Camps in different countries and we will end up in the Olympic Village around July 23. This intense preparation will see me primed for an assault on the 66 kg category on July 29.

I'm aiming for a medal so it is going to be a hard slog.

Thanks to all of my sponsors and supporters who've helped me along the way and for any who are still curious it is not too late to get involved.

I've already done a fair bit of media and there is a lot more coming up between now and the games.

It's a perfect time for some sponsors to get on board and get their products out there through me.

Cheers

Ivo Dos Santos
