All set for "Noche de Campeones DIRECTV" in Carolina

Carolina, Puerto Rico - DIRECTV will take action to subscribers with the latest edition of “Night of Champions DIRECTV” this Saturday, April 6.  One of the most exciting fights of the card, being held at the Coliseo Guillermo Angulo Carolina, will be Puerto Rican Thomas Dulorme facing the dangerous African Ben Ankrah. The Official weight was held at the "Embassy Suites Hotel - San Juan Hotel & Casino."
Featuring the event, Thomas Dulorme (17-1, 13 KOs) weighed 144 pounds and his opponent, Ben Ankrah (17-12, 8 KOs) weighed 144 in a bout scheduled for eight rounds in the junior welterweight division.
"I feel very good, very happy, very comfortable at this weight class, I did not work hard to make it. Tomorrow its gonna be a good fight, and definitely the fans can  expect a great war as I always do, so expect a  great show" said Dulorme, who is promoted by Gary Shaw Productions, DiBella Entertainment and Universal Promotions.
In the co-feature bout, former world champion, Manuel "Manny" Siaca (24-7, 20 KO) weighed 163 pounds, like his rival, the Colombian Milton Nunez (25 -7 to 1, 23 KOs) in a bout scheduled for eight rounds.
"My opponent is a power puncher, but I also hit hard.   I will come to fight. I’m not  going to walking around.  The audience will see me very well-trained and of course very explosive" Siaca said.
On the undercard fight, former Olympian, Enrique "Kikin" Collazo (0-0-1), weighed 168 pounds and his rival Michael Suarez (0-1) weighed 171. The bout is a scheduled 4 round bout.
Other fights are: Emmanuel "Manny" Rodriguez (3-0, 3 KO) weighed 118 pounds and Jose Ruiz (2-3) 121 in a fight 6 rounds, Efhrain "Macho" Cruz (3-0, 1 KO) weighed in at 133 pounds and rival Wilfred Garriga (0-1) weighed 133 in a 6 rounds, Luis 'Yeye' Rodriguez (2-0, 2 KOs) weighed 142 pounds and Luis Guzman (debutant) weighed 142 in a 4 round fight, Victor "Picu" Perez (1-0, 1 KO) weighed 139 pounds and Angel Hernandez (0-1) 135 in a 4 round fight, Pedro Ortiz (0-1) weighed 114 pounds and Joseph Santos (0 - 4) weighed 118 in a four-round bout and Anthony Mercado (1-0, 1 KO) weighed 141 pounds and Brian Montalvo weighed 138 in a four-round fight.

Jose Pedraza to co-feature Night of Champions card in Carolina, Puerto Rico

TO CO-FEATURE "NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS" CARD IN CAROLINA, PUERTO RICO

July 2, 2012 - The 23-year-old top super featherweight prospect, José "Sniper" Pedraza (9-0, 6KO), has been added to the August 31, 2012, "Night of Champions" boxing event taking place at the Guillermo Angulo Coliseum in Carolina, Puerto Rico.  His opponent will be announced on a later date.  The 10-round main event will feature Thomas Dulorme (15-0, 12 KOS), who will face Colombian fighter Ivan Hernandez (29-3, 23 KOS).

On June 15, 2012, in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, Pedraza was featured as the main-event and defeated fellow countryman, Carlos "Special Edition" Claudio (14-7, 6 KOs) by unanimous decision.

"I'm happy that I'm the co-feature on this boxing card and I'm excited to fight for the people of Carolina and all of Puerto Rico," said Pedraza, who's promoted by Universal Promotions, Gary Shaw Productions and DiBella Entertainment. "I'm a versatile boxer who gives his all in the ring and I always put on a good show for the people regardless of the opponent.  After defeating Carlos Claudio, I rested for a week and then started my conditioning.  Right now, I just started my gym training." 

During his spectacular amateur career, Pedraza built up an impressive record of 160 wins and 16 losses. He won a silver medal in the World Championships in Italy, and captured gold medals in the Central American Caribbean Games in Mayaguez, PR, the Copa Romana in Dominican Republic, and in the qualification tournament in Guatemala for the 2008 Beijing Olympics in China, among others.

Pedraza and Dulorme are members of "Team Puerto Rico Boxing", which is a collaboration between Gary Shaw Productions, DiBella Entertainment and Universal Promotions, made with the goal of gathering the best of Puerto Rico's boxing talent.
