Tevin Farmer has breakout 2014; looks for big 2015

Farmer Takes on Viktor Chernous this Friday night in Cabazon, California FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Philadelphia (January 6, 2015 ) - As recently as 2012, Featherweight contender Tevin "The American Idol"  Farmer was considered nothing more than a dangerous and useful journeyman.  A fighter who would and could compete to a certain level but ultimately would fall a bit short against fighters with a perceived higher class. Enter a bout that took place on October 12, 2012.   Farmer was summoned in to face hot undefeated prospect Jose Pedraza.  Pedraza won the fight via 8th round.  After the fight, Farmer's record stood at a pedestrian 7-4-1. Fortunately he didn't give up.  He had a brother who worked at Rocco's Collision Center in South Jersey which is owned and operated by Mark Cipparone. Cipparone sat down with young Farmer and decided to get into the fight game as a manager. Cipparone changed Farmer's train of thinking and provided him with the proper needs in order for Farmer to succeed at the highest level. The first order of business was to seek out and build a team who could both train at the highest level and also provide mentor ship to this young man both in an out of the ring. Saturday culminates big week for Club 1957 Management

Philadelphia (October 16, 2014) - This Saturday night, three fighters who compete under the Club 1957 Management banner will be in action as Miguel Cartegena (13-1, 5 KO's) takes on Emmanuel Rodriguez for the WBO Latino Bantamweight title.  On the same card in Caguas, Puerto Rico, Jr. Lightweight Jason Sosa (12-1-3, 8 KO's)  takes on Juan Cruz.  In Philadelphia, Jr. Middleweight Tyrone Brunson (22-2-1, 21 KO's) will battle DeCarlo Perez. Just one week ago, Featherweight Tevin Farmer won his tenth consecutive bout with a one round destruction over Dominic Coca in Springfield, Virginia. Farmer of Philadelphia took out Coca with one right hook to raise his record to 17-4-1 with four knockouts. "I always had power and it was just a matter of time before it kicked in.  people will see more knockouts from me," said Farmer. Farmer is ready for a fight that will put him in great position for a great opportunity. "I would like to fight for something big.  It is up to my promoter and manager.  I am ready for that fight tomorrow." Farmer is promoted by DiBella Entertainment. Since he was a prized amateur, big things have been expected for Cartagena and on Saturday night could be the first step to realizing his championship aspirations. Tevin Farmer to take on Dominic Coca on Saturday night in Springfield, Virginia

Golden Boy Promotions prospect, Emmanuel 'Manny' Gonzalez (14-0 , 7 KO's) from the Bronx, via Puerto Rico will battle Philadelphian Tevin 'American Idol' Farmer ( 15-4-1, 3 KO ) in a 10-round junior lightweight maint event bout, this Thursday at the House of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts. The FOX Sports 1 and FOX Deportes broadcast airs live at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT.

For his part , Gonzalez , currently ranked #14 by the World Boxing Council ( WBC ) at the junior lightweight division, was the first to defeated former undefeated prospect, Noel Echevarria, by unanimous decision. Farmer of Philadelphia is giving Loamachenko some good southpaw work as the Ukranian amateur legend prepares for his WBO Featherweight title fight against undefeated former U.S. Olympian Gary Russell Jr. on June 21 in Carson, California. Farmer (15-4-1, 3 KO's) himself is also preparing for a June 5 bout against undefeated Emanuel Gonzalez in Boston on Fox Sports 1. "I am here learning, getting experience and helping him prepare for his fight,"said Farmer.
