GARY SHAW SUPPORTS AUSTRALIAN BOXING COMMISSION

October 24, 2013 - Boxing promoter Gary Shaw who represents Australian fighters Daniel Geale and top contender Joel Brunker to name a few, is an avid supporter of promoting fights internationally, especially in Australia.

After a fight between Australian Anthony Mundine and American Shane Mosley was recently cancelled due to some controversy, Shaw had this to say about his dealings with the Australian boxing commission.

"Daniel Geale and Joel Brunker are two great fighters that I'm proud to say are part of our stable here at GSP. In all my dealings with the Australian boxing commission, I found them to be very honest and upright in every aspect of business.  I know Shane Mosley had some harsh words toward the Australian boxing scene and commission and he's entitled to his opinion, but I've always had a great deal of respect for everyone I've dealt with in Australia, including Bill Treacy, Garrie Francisco and Angelo DiCarlo to name a few."

Shaw went on to say, "Shane Mosley is a future Hall of Famer and I admire and respect him for all his accomplishments and dedication to our sport.  I don't know if Shane was dealing with the Australian commission directly or if it was the promoter that he had a problem with, but every time I did business in Australia, everyone got paid.  I'm proud to say I'll continue doing business in Australia and I find their commission to be straightforward, honest and truthful."

JOEL BRUNKER: "I'M READY TO FIGHT FOR A WORLD TITLE"

NEW JERSEY (August 27, 2013) - Gary Shaw Productions featherweight contender, Australia's Joel Brunker (27-0, 15 KOs), feels he's ready to challenge any of the champions in his division.  Currently undefeated, Brunker has been steadily climbing up the rankings in all sanctioning organizations.  Brunker is rated No. 4 WBO, No. 6 IBF, No. 13 WBA, and No. 15 WBC respectively.

"I'm ready to fight for a world title," said Brunker. "I've fought many styles as I worked my way up the rankings.  In those fights I've gained a lot of experience.  My skills have enhanced tremendously and I feel confident in my ability to capture a world title."

Known for his vicious body attack, promoter Gary Shaw believes Brunker has the style to beat any of the current champions.

"Joel Brunker is a tremendous fighter." Shaw said. "He's improved immensity in the last few years.  He's got a great chin and he's a powerful puncher.  His body shots wear down his opponents and I feel he's ready to take his career to the next level.  I'll be talking with my co-promoter Ace Boxing's Angelo DiCarlo to see what we can do to get Brunker a title shot.  He's ready."

Brunker hosts his training camps in Las Vegas where he's been getting great sparring for his fights.  The move has given him extra confidence.

"Since I moved my training camps to Las Vegas, I've been getting good sparring with all the top guys," Brunker stated. "The work I'm getting is second to none.  When you spar with the best fighters in the world, you're bound to get better.  I'm extremely happy with my promoters Gary Shaw and Angelo DiCarlo for all their hard work.  I trust they will do their best to put me in the best possible position to fight for a world title."
